Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick smiled looking over at Arielle and making himself comfortable on the edge of the bed. "Not much longer now." He encouraged with a smile. "A few more hours and we can go home to a wonderful dinner." He sighed softly, very curious to see what Spanish food might taste like. He couldn't say he had ever tried any before and was very interested. But if Arielle said it was good, he'd take her word for it.
Dimitri walked back into the room after he and Kedrick's play fight. His heart was pounding as a result of the jumping, dodging and his short sprint down the hallway but a wide smile still touched his lips none the less. Dimitri lived for banter like that, and play fighting with Kedrick was always the best way to go. 'Just like we used to do.' Dimitri thought happily, his breath still coming a little bit hard. "So...Maria had to go shopping huh?" He asked, stuffing his hands in his pockets and looking at the two of them, sitting very comfortably on the bed.
Kedrick nodded his head. "Yep, that's about the long and short of it." He said with a smile.
"And, It is okay if I let her in, hmm?"
Kedrick nodded again. "Yeah, I don't think that'll be a problem, just don't abuse the use of that key, I don't need you sneaking into the house in the middle of the night."
Dimitri scoffed in mock disbelief. He placed at hand on his chest. "Moi? Your very best friend? Sneak? Never!" He said, turning his back to Kedrick and crossing his arms haughtily over his chest. He had to turn quickly so that Kedrick didn't see the smirk that was already playing on his lips.
"Okay, I get the picture, Dimitri-the-Great wouldn't lower himself to sneak into the house in the middle of the night."
"Correct." Dimitri said, turning back around and sitting down next to his friend. He felt a slight sense of loss without Maria there, he wasn't sure why really, she had only been gone a few minutes, but still his heart ached with a pain of loneliness.

Arielle Shore
"Home," Arielle said with a small happy smile. Just the other day she had never thought that she would even go back home. Had it not been for Kedrick and Maria, she wouldn't be in the hospital bed, she wouldn't even be around them at all. "I have never desired home more than right now..." She couldn't help but wonder what else the doctors needed to see, but she wouldn't argue with them since they knew what they were doing.
She listened to Kedrick and Dimitri's conversation and could only smile. She could really see herself and Maria in them, to an extent. Both Kedrick and Maria had to deal with friends that had troubling circumstances and were always there for them. Maybe that was why they all could get along so well.
As the room grew into a silence, Arielle realized something important that Dimitri needed to know. She knew that Maria wouldn't be late, but they needed to contact each other for the dinner, especially if she needed help or if she forgot to meet him at the crossroad before the estate.
"Dimitri," Arielle said as she sat up, making herself comfortable for what seemed like the millionth time. "I just realized, I don't think you have Maria's number. It could be useful just in case she forgets something or is there late. You have your phone on you, right?"

Kedrick Suwa
"Eh?" Dimitri said looking up, a little bit lost in his own thoughts. He had been thinking about Maria, she kept slipping into his mind. "Her number?...No, actually I don't." He reached into his pocket, digging for his cell phone.'could it really be that easy?' He wondered briefly. In the past, when that kind of stuff seemed to matter, Dimitri had always found it difficult to get a hold of a girls number. Either you had to ask a friend who, more often than not, was hesitant to fork it over, or he had to ask the girl herself and risk her getting the wrong idea. Dimitri pulled out his phone, pulling up his contacts list and tapping the 'add new contact' button. "Okay," He said, looking up at Arielle. "Lay it on me."
Kedrick smiled slightly. He certainly hoped Maria didn't forget, He was looking forward to taking Arielle home from the hospital and coming into the estate to find it warm, bright and smelling of wonderful food. Come to think of it, he couldn't imagine a better feeling at the moment than to come home after a long, hard two days and find food and friends waiting for you. 'besides...' Kedrick thought with the briefest fickler of a smile 'I get the impression that Dimitri will be tickled pink to spend some time alone with Maria....'

Arielle Shore
Arielle waited patiently for Dimitri to take out his phone, giving herself time to remember the number. When he was ready, Arielle made sure she had the number in her head before reciting it for Dimitri. "Her number is 238-160-9077. Got it?" Arielle asked, looking at Dimitri curiously to know if he did indeed have her number.
After Maria had left, the first thing she did was go home. She couldn't quite explain it, but she liked cooking with her own bowls and equipment. Even if she went somewhere else to cook, she needed her own things. The next thing she did was make a list of what supplies she was going to need for dinner. If she remembered correctly, she still had enough to make her purchases for dinner. When all that was done, she left her house, leaving a not for her father that she would be at Kedrick's for dinner before leaving the house and driving off.
With a small sigh, she couldn't help but wish that Dimitri had gone with her or that he had walked her to the door. At least I'll see him in a bit, Maria thought with a small lovesick smile. Just me and him... It's almost too good to be true.

Kedrick Suwa
Dimitri punched Maria's number into his phone. "Got it." He said, looking up at her with a smile. "Thanks." Dimitri was about to put his phone away when he caught a glace at the time displayed in the corner. At first, he wasn't sure that the time made sense, but then he remembered that it had been noon before any of them where awake. "Wow..." He said softly. "It's later than I though, I need to change into something I haven't been in for 48 hours before dinner." He mused softly, rubbing the back of his neck.
Kedrick looked over at his friend, "Time to go for you then?" He asked with a small smile.
"Yup." Dimitri confirmed, standing up and looking at the two of them. "You two have fun and behave I'll meet you at the estate at dinner time." He said, smirking slightly and reaching out to mess with Arielle's hair. "Take care you, Maria will have something yummy cooked up for you." He said laughing before turning to Kedrick.
"Hug?" Kedrick asked, smirking slightly at the comically disgruntled expression that overcame Dimitri's face.
Dimitri sighed. "Fine." He said, his face cracking into a grin, hugging Kedrick tightly.
Kedrick hugged Dimitri back. "Don't forget to pick up Maria, I get the feeling she'd be waiting for you." Kedrick said, pulling back.
Dimitri nodded. "Right, no problem." He raised a hand in a last goodbye as he stepped out of the room.
There was a few moments of silence after Dimitri left. Kedrick turned to Arielle, touching her arm gently. "Not long now and I'll take you home." He said with a gentle smile, leaning in to kiss her forehead.

Arielle Shore
"Anytime Dimitri," Arielle said with a soft smile, glad that she could help. If she knew Maria well enough, then at that moment, Maria was buying large amounts of ingredients to satisfy the meal. Which, in all honesty wasn't a problem, but she tended to get just a little bit carried away. But her mind kept thinking about what exactly her best friend make, her stomach quietly begging her to feed it.
She smiled with a soft laugh as Dimitri messed with her hair as he was getting ready to leave. It seemed like just about everyone wanted to mess with Arielle's hair today. She smiled as Kedrick and Dimitri said their goodbyes and waved to him as he was leaving the room, leaving just herself and Kedrick in the room by themselves again.
The silence had returned again, and Arielle was about to say something, anything to break the silence when Kedrick was the one that spoke. Her smile grew and she was once again having those moments when she couldn't imagine where she would be without him. As he kissed her forehead, Arielle held on gently to his free hand, squeezing it gently. "That sounds absolutely wonderful, Kedrick. And since I'll be with you, Maria, and Dimitri, it's just about the best thing that the world can give to me right now."

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick smiled slightly as he pulled back away from her, hardly able to wait till he could get her out of this stuffy, white hospital room to somewhere where there was real color. He glanced around the room, Athena said that you got used to the over all lack of color. But then again, Athena had been in and out of the hospital her whole life, so he was sure that the color scheme became the least of your worries. Kedrick pulled his mind out of the clouds, looking back down at where Arielle's sat, propped up against the pillows. "Do you know how much longer we have to stay here or should I go ask your doctor?" He asked with a small smile.
Dimitri in the mean time had walked down though the maze of the hospital hallways and down into the parking lot. He actually found himself whistling as he jogged over to his beat up old car. He fumbled with the keys for a moment before finally getting the car open and sliding in. The drive back to his small apartment wasn't a long one, so he was soon pushing open the front door and flicking on the light switch. Dimitri sighed softly with a smile, thinking of the wonderful evening they had planed. He hung his keys up on the small nail by the door walked over and kneeling down by his dresser. He opened one of the draws, pulling out a wad of clothing that he hadn't bothered to fold. Soon Dimitri had changed into a pair of tight dark jeans and a white T-shirt with a splattered black design and sliver lettering on it. He marveled at how good it could feel to be in a change of clean clothing even though both shirt and jeans were wrinkled.
((Eh...Dimitri's part wasn't really necessary, but I enjoy writing from his perspective. Maria would probably be mortified if she saw the messy state of his apartment. XD ))

Arielle Shore
Before Arielle could even respond to Kedrick's question, her doctor walked in the room with a bright smile. "Looks like you summoned the doctor, Kedrick," Arielle said with a small smile turning her head in the direction of her doctor who had walked up to Arielle's bed now.
The next couple of minutes were filled with last minute check ups, making sure that everything had remained a constant state ever since her operation was done. When everything was shown to be true, the doctor then let Kedrick and Arielle know about what she could do and what she couldn't do. She was supposed to maintain a liquid diet for about two and a half weeks and to not do anything that would stress her stomach out. Everything else seemed routine and when her doctor was done, she shook her doctors hand and thanked him for everything he had done for her.
As her doctor left, her nurses came in and started unhooking her up from all of the equipment in the room. It felt weird at first, like they had taken a part of her out, but she felt fine in just a few seconds. She thanked her nurses again for everything and they wished her luck and a speedy recovery. Then they too left the room and Arielle was once again left in the room with Kedrick.
"Well, this went by sooner then expected," Arielle said with a small smile, getting out of her bed slowly, still feeling a bit lightheaded even though she had enough blood in her. She look down at her clothes, mainly her shirt, the red bloodstain reminding her of the other days events. She sighed and made a face, "And this was my nicest outfit too..."

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick looked up, smiling at the doctor as he came in to check on Arielle. He watched him carefully as he monitored the machines and made sure that she was stabilized. He also thanked the doctor for helping Arielle before he left. As soon as the doctor stepped out, Kedrick turned to Arielle, his eyes gleaming with suppressed excitement. He held out a hand to her. "Don't worry about the cloths, I promise I'll get you another shirt just like it. For now, are you ready to go home princess?"
Dimitri sighed softly as he stood in the middle of the small kitchen in his boxers. He was looking down at his jeans and shirt that were lying on the counter. Dimitri had wiped them down with a slightly damp rag and let them dry flat but they still looked slightly wrinkled. The dark hair boy sighed softly, resigned to his fate as he pulled the clothing on. He frowned slightly, it was still a little bit damp, He hoped Maria wouldn't notice the wrinkles, she may think he was a slob. 'Well...I kind of am...but she dosn't know that yet, what she doesn't know wont hurt her.' He though with a small smirk, wondering what she might think if she took a look around his apartment. Dimitri glanced deftly down at the time on his cell phone again and walked to the door, pulling on his red tennis sneakers without hardly looking. He didn't want to be late in meeting Maria.
Soon Dimitri had pulled up to the cross roads before Kedrick's house, tapping the wheel lightly with his finger tips. He hoped she remembered, it had kind of been an 'in passing' comment, maybe she hadn't taken him seriously...He certainly hoped not.

Arielle Shore
Arielle took his hand and smiled at him, slowly getting to her feet, making sure she wasn't going to fall over before hugging Kedrick. Somehow a day without hugging Kedrick seemed like an entire lifetime. She didn't let go of him for some time, wanting to make her brain now that everything was real and she was finally safe for good. Looking up Kedrick, she smiled and nodded, "Ready whenever you are Sir Kedrick." She giggled and lightly kissed his cheek before releasing herself from the hug and made her way out of her room.
After a seemingly long trip to the local Hispanic store, Maria finally drove on to her newest destination, Kedrick's estate. She tried her best not to rush the car to his place, but she knew that the sooner she got there, the better. From the direction she was driving in, she almost drove straight to Kedrick's estate when she realized that Dimitri had mentioned something about meeting him at the crossroads. Not wanting to make him wait any longer, she drove in the direction of the crossroads.
When she reached her destination, she pulled up behind another car and turned hers off, wondering if it was Dimitri. She opened the door and got out, stretching a little before walking over to the mysterious car, ready to defend herself if anything bad happened. When she got close enough to see it was Dimitri, she smiled and knocked on the window, happily waving at him.

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick's soft laugh filled the room as she joked with his, calling him 'Sir Kedrick' He smiled a little as Arielle pulled back, starting out of the room. "Be careful!" He said urgently, following her quickly out and taking her arm. "Don't need you loosing your balance and falling over, do we now?" Kedrick asked with a laugh as the two of them made their way down the long narrow hallway.
Dimitri jumped slightly when Maria knocked on the window. His head shot up at he turned quickly, a soft sigh of relief escaped his lips when he saw Maria waving at him though the window. With a smirk, Dimitri touched a button on the car door, allowing the window to slide down. "Nice to see you again." He said playfully, his trademark smirk still lingering on his lips. "C'mmon, hop back in your car, we can head over now." He said, glad Maria had remembered to meet him.
Soon the two of them had pulled into the estate. Dimitri pushed open his car door, stepping out and stretching his arms above his head. He smiled slightly at the familiar shape of the estate. Dimitri bumped his car door shut and walked with Maria to the front steps, glancing over at her."You got everything you need?" He asked, reaching out to take some of her ingredients and cooking stuff from her.

Arielle Shore
Arielle stopped her walking, glad that Kedrick had caught up with her since she did feel lightheaded again. She smiled lightly at him and nodded, knowing that if that did happen, she would be stuck in the hospital for another hour or two. "I'm glad my knight is making sure I don't make friends with the floor," Arielle said with a sweet smile as they continued on their way out of the hospital.
"You don't think you were already rid of me, did you?" Maria playfully asked, her own smirk appearing on her face. She nodded when Dimitri told her to get back in her car, also glad that he was truthful about being there. She hurried into her car, turning it on and followed him to Kedrick's estate.
When they reached the estate, Maria turned her car off again and got out. It was nice to her to return on the campus since the Harvest Dance. She took a few things out of her car, knowing she had to make multiple trips back and forth to the car. Soon Dimitri met up with her on the way to the door and she nodded with a small smile to his question. "I have enough to feed any army probably, but I know you'll like it," Maria responded, her accent kicking in due to the fact she had to speak in Spanish when she was in the store. She blushed lightly and thanked Dimitri for taking the supplies that were in her hand. "That's not all though... There's still some more in the car, so we have a few trips back and forth to my car before I start making dinner."

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick smiled, laughing softly at her comment about 'making friends with the floor' "oh no, I can't let that happen." He laughed, as they walked out the front door. Kedrick made sure she had something to hold on to, in this case, the car hood, before going to open the passenger's side door. "Here you go." He murmured softly, helping her slid into the seat. "Watch your fingers." He warned with a small smile as he gently closed the door.
Dimitri shifted the supplies in his arms, pushing the key into the lock and opening the door. "Okay, let's get this into the kitchen, then I'll help you get to other stuff." He said, looking over his shoulder at her with a smile. "You can't have been in here many times, I'll show you the way" He said, leading her through the foyer, past the stairs and through a set of doors into the gourmet kitchen. It had been almost two years now, but Dimitri remembered every inch of the estate. He smiled slightly as he walked into the familiar room, he could remember countless evening when he had sat on the counters being out of the way as Kedrick cooked dinner. Dimitri set his arm load down and glanced back to make sure Maria had followed him alright. "Did you get lost Maria?" He called out of the kitchen, his smirk almost audible in his voice.

Arielle Shore
"I'm glad you won't," Arielle said with a smile. The mood, the atmosphere, just everything around them seemed light and perfect.[ When they reached the car, Arielle almost wondered how exactly his car came from the hospital Athena was in to the one she was in, considering the fact that he had never left by her side last night. Maybe Maria's dad had it towed in last night, Arielle thought then realized that it really wasn't that important to worry about. She quietly thanked him as she got in the car, heeding Kedrick's warning and strapped herself into her seat. She leaned back with a small smile, thoughts of returning home filling her head.
"Thanks for all the help, Dimitri," Maria said with a small smile, her heart doing somersaults when Dimitri smiled at her. She followed him, keeping a mental note on where everything was so that she wouldn't get lost. She was surprised on just how well Dimitri could navigate himself in Kedrick's home. When she heard him call her name, she popped her head in the kitchen and smirked back at him. Walking over until she was in front of him, she poked him gently in his chest and smiled up at him. "Don't worry, I'm still here. C'mon, let's get the rest of my groceries."

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick slid behind the driver's wheel, strapping himself in as well before sticking the keys in the ignition. "Here we go." He said with a small smile, pushing on the gas peddle and the car pulled forward. Kedrick reached up, his gaze briefly flickering to the CD holder that was strapped to his vizor before moving back to the road. He deftly selected a CD popping it into the CD player. He found he had picked one of his favorite CD's on random and he smiled slightly. He was actually surprised that he hadn't accidentally grabbed one with Christmas music. Kedrick wondered what Christmas with Arielle would be like, what ever it ended up like, he was sure it would be wonderful.
Soon Kedrick pulled the car into the driveway, seeing Dimitri and Maria's cars already parked there and the house lit up like a candle. He smiled slightly, looking over at Arielle and turning off the music. "Welcome home Arielle." He said, touching her cheek gently.
A few minutes earlier: Dimitri smiled as Maria poked him in the chest, trying to keep his own heart from doing somersaults. "Right," He said, placing his hand over hers and pushing it down off his chest with a smirk. "Lead the way." He said, the two of the heading out.
Dimitri pushed open the front door, seeing Kedrick's car pull in the drive way. He smiled, shading his eyes and peering through the window at the two of them. He waved from the porch, then quickly followed Maria to the car.
Kedrick pushed open his door, standing up. "Hey!" He called to Dimitri and Maria.
"Hey yourself!" Dimitri called in response. "You guys are back early, Maria and I hadn't even gotten started, C'mmon and help with the grocery's!" He said with a smirk, opening the back door to Maria's car and pulling out another arm load.
"I'll pass." Kedrick said, circling around to Arielle's door. "I've got to get this one inside without her falling down!" He said with a small laugh. He opened the door, peering down and smiling at her.
