OOC: What is Morgan's status? Still unconscious?
IC:
"You feeling okay, Jaim?" Penny asked as they headed towards the garage. She had noticed a change in his demeanor somewhat since the early fight with the weird soul sucking demon thing.
He shrugged and drank some coffee. She knew better than that and figured pretty much he was upset about what had happened to him in battle. She opened the garage door and pulled her keys out of her bag, "I'm always around if you need somebody to talk to. We all don't have an easy time with our powers. I'm pretty prone to getting an a** whoopin."
"Well, at least you don't pass out," He sighed and Penny could tell she wasn't really helping out. Not exactly the leader speech anybody was hoping for.
"No, I can't say that I have, but you have to take it into perspective. Your power can let you light up the room like a sun. That's a lot of power and that's a lot of energy. Maybe your body just isn't ready to handle that yet. Maybe you need to build up to that point. When Jean first manifested her powers, Xavier had to step in and block away her telepathy. She wasn't ready to handle it. He still hasn't completely given it back to her yet, and I don't know that she knows that he really has anything to do with it," Penny was trying to help as much as she could. Jamie was a good guy and she hated seeing him downcast.
"And how do you know that?" Kitty phased up behind them.
Penny rolled her eyes, "Can you warn somebody first, Kit? Get in the car," She then whispered to Jamie, "I can get you almost any file in the mansion. Jean and Scott's are the most juicy. Did you know there have been several kidnap and cloning attemps on both of them?"
She got into the car and drove them all to Bayville High.... and promptly almost swerved off the road when Regina mentioned thinking about running for student body President against Pietro.
"Against him? The guy who practically killed Morgan and threatened at one time to decapitate me with piano string or something to that effect?" Penny didn't like the idea one bit.
"What? Afraid?" Kurt asked, "I thought you were the fearless leader of Gold team. Guess my Red team will have to take your place."
Penny shut up for a second. Flaming swords of fear and doom didn't scare her, but a guy so fast that she could barely see him coming did. Pietro was one dude she wanted to stay as far away from as possible, "I'm not afraid of that punk. I just think it'd be funny if he won, that's all... jocks won't know what hit them."

Regina grinned at the rearview mirror. "Oh come on Penny. It's just a silly high school thing. I'm not even going to take it seriously." she answered, flipping through her notebook. "But I can get into it. Hey Kurt, Kitty, you up for helping me?"
"Sure." Kurt answered, nodding. "You're my date for the dance, I think it's only fair."
"You?! And Kurt!?" Kitty exclaimed, laughing some. "What a cute couple. And sure, I'm in."
"Come on penny... help me out?" Regina pleaded.

Jamie grinned and relaxed a bit. It was still going to take him awhile to get over the feeling that he'd been more of a liability than a help, what with the exaustion that came.
He smiled at the thought of Pietro being president. He'd had a few encounters with him around school, and he seemed like a better candidate than Duncan. At least Pietro had. . . a character.
"I dunno Regina, I think you'd be good for it." He said, taking a sip of his coffee.

"Grrr," Penny said realizing she did need to lighten up a bit. Way too serious all the time, "Okay, I'll help you."
Then something dawned on her that she didn't tell her team, "Oh! Did you guys hear yet?"
"Hear what?" Regina asked.
Penny pointed to her purse at a memo hanging out of it, "I almost forgot to tell you guys... I got a memo this morning that most of Gold team has a new advisor."
"What?! We have the best Danger Room record and they're going to dismantle us?"
Penny shook her head, "Anna is the only one not going with us. Mr. Porter hand picked us for his team. Don't know what we'll be called, but I think it will be interesting enough to have a new counselor."
With a jolt, Penny pulled into a parking space and took the keys out of her car. She groaned as more VOTE FOR PIETRO signs lined the telephone poles in the parking lot.
"Looks like we need to sign you up soon," Penny pointed to the one sign that said:
PRESIDENT DEBATE WEDNESDAY 2PM GYMNASIUM
Kitty pulled a flyer out of her binder and slapped some over the Pietro signs that read
STUDENT PROM MAY 23RD 7PM GYMNASIUM
Penny rolled her eyes.

{Yes, Morgan's still KO'd. He'll be back to full health in time for Prom, though. Gotta love those nanites.
He's actually not controlling them conciously. What they do is automatically repair damaged tissues, and destroy viruses or toxins or whatever happens to invade his body. Sort of like Wolverine's healing factor, but nowhere near as advanced.}

"I see...so my observation was correct..."
Raine fell silent after he questioned her about her mutation. She thought for a long moment...searching for the best words to describe it.
"First off you need to know that all living things possess within them an energy that science cannot explain. It can't be measured, but it does exist, and the absence of this energy will result in the death of ALL living things. My body produces an enzyme that when my brain tells my body to release it, coats my skin in the previously mentally selected area of it. Then the chemical in the enzyme would siphon the life-force of the creature I am touching. What's good about my power is that it's mentally activated. I don't take the memories or persona of the victim, and I can store the energy within my body. What's disappointing about my power is that I don't take the abilities of the victim if they're a mutant and any emotional outburst and I can kill anyone I touch."
The femora flicker her crimson-hues toward John, wondering what his reaction would be. Her mutation, at its current level, had much potential and that ability to be improved upon immensely.

Once Raine finished talking they walked for a second in slience, because John was in thought. He was trying to figure out what in the world she was saying about her powers. Through all of her scientific talk the power sounded familar.... and then it hit him. Her powers are almost exactly like that X-man Rogue. She can drain the life force out of anyone she touches. But by the sound of it, she has control over her ability, and she can't take the mutant ability of another mutant....wHY DIDN'T SHE JUST SAY THAT!!!......The again technically she did. John let out a chuckle at that last thought. "Well that's cool, but a quick question. I know you said you can't take mutant abilities, but what about someone's strenght? Can you absorb that??"

{Here, this post will feature Morgan's current condition.}
Morgan was once again laying in the infirmary, but of a different cause this time.
When McCoy went to check on him, however, he discovered something odd. The boy had awoken, and was looking around in confusion. That wasn't the strange part. What was odd was the fact that little under twenty-four hours ago, Morgan's retinas had been almost completely burned. He shouldn't have been able to look around in confusion.
"Wh-where am I? How'd I get here?" he mumbled, still disoriented.
"You're in the infirmary, m'boy. You've been here for nearly twenty-four hours."
"Twenty- The last thing I remember is being attacked by some white haired kid, and then I woke up here," Morgan replied, looking around.
{He doesn't remember the battle with Pietro}

Regina sighed with Penny. "I think the presidential debate is a little more imporant than the prom.. And it's sooner."
She looked around the school and grimaced. Pietro was basically just plastering signs all over the place and not really doing a campagn. "Okay, here's the deal. We need to make signs too and post them right next to pietros... considering they're almost all over the school we'll have quite some work to do."
"I've got the posters already figured out." Kitty answered, stuffing the rest of the prom posters in her back pack. "Once I post these up, I'll make the ones for you."
"Thanks kitty." Regina grinned and looked at the clock ont he school. "Oh crap! We're going to be late!"

"We need to start an army of Regina fans like Pietro has..." Penny said, "Make those signs pop up everywhere."
Kitty waved as she ran down the hall, "Don't worry, I'm Miss Popularity. I can get it done."
Penny nodded and didn't really know what she could do to help. She wasn't exactly the social butterfly of the group and didnt' really get clsoe to many people at Bayville. But she made an agreement to help Regina, so she would.
"Miss Chayse, you're late," Mr. Kline pointed to the clock as homeroom was begnning. Penny nodded and took her seat. She looked around at the students who really didn't pay her any mind to begin with. Regina wasn't in her home room. They both missed the cut off for the other's home room by one letter.
She just listened to the other kids. Some were talking about the baseball season. Some were talking about prom. Others were talkinga bout the latest news sstory on a mutant. Somebody was talking about the upcoming student body elections. They were wondering how all the posters got up there for Pietro and why all of Ducan's were thrown away.
"I heard that Regina Colt is going to run," Penny chimed into a conersation with a few girls she occassionally chatted with.
Stacie looked surprised, "Good, somebody needs to throw their hat into the ring with these two guys. Duncan is such a tool and Pietro is such a cheavanist. Give me some flyers when you have them. I'll pass them around."

Regina got to her home room by slipping in through the shadows in the back, that way she wasn't late. No one ever noticed until she had been sitting there reading a book for some time. Today was no different. As she opened the book she was currently on, about vampires, she looked around the room and at the teacher.
Since things were still quiet, and the current teacher was the one that people put in their nominations for Student Body President, she headed up to the front to talk to the teacher. He looked at her in surprise but grinned.
"Good. We need someone else in the race, so far it's been uneventful." he stated, and wrote her name next to Pietro's on the board for people running.
Walking back to her book and her desk, Regina could already hear the buzz starting and began getting nervous. ~i hope this isn't a mistake...~

{The Brotherhood house is still pretty wrecked, right? I'm not sure how to proceed with Ares, because I don't know the state of the house. And I also don't know if anyone aside from Scion is in there. Can someone throw me a bone on this?}

It took forever it seemed for Jacen to wake up. The light faintly shone in the darkened room enough to stir him from the floor. As he woke, he took stock that he was in familiar surroundings. There were clothes strewn about, a familiar hole in the wall that someone must have put there purposefully, and that same stench that Toad gave off that you couldn't help but notice; he was home.
He rolled over carefully and sat up, realizing that he was still wearing his gear. Slowly, he slid his gauntlets off and removed the cloak before gathering up a clean set of clothes and heading down the hall. It didn't take him long to get cleaned up, the most time he wasted was on actually changing and wrapping his arm up next to his body. He knew it was going to be a few weeks until his arm was fully healed. It was best to keep it immobile until then.
As he left the bathroom and headed to his own quarters, he heard people's chatter from down on the street. When he looked, he noticed there were teens heading somewhere. Did the school get fixed while he was away? It wasn't that long a time spent, he thought. Only a couple of days. Either way, he knew he was still to be keeping airs, so he decided it best, injured or not, to go to school.
It was a rather tiring walk to school that day. Mainly due to the deep bruising on his ankle, but also he was still slightly exhausted. He could muster the strength to make it through the day, but he didn't know if he could muster the strength to handle people's inquiries. As he entered the school, arm wrapped tightly to his body, he elicited a few gasps and stares. Nothing too important.
And so he walked into his first hour World History class non-chalantly, oblivious to the fact that he was a half-hour late.
"I'm pleased to see you could join us, Mr. Daniels," his teacher said absently as he didn't turn his back from the class behind him. "You're late though."
"Damn," Jacen thought as he took the seat farthest away from the most people.
"And can you explain your rather lengthy abscen....." The teacher stopped immediately. "What happened?," he asked while examining Jacen's injuries.
"Meh. Nothing too harsh. Just a car wreck," Jacen said without missing a beat. "My shoulder got thrown into the door, dislocating it, and the cuts on my face are from flying glass."
"I see," he said, before turning back and writing more things down on the board. "Sorry for the interruption, but if we can continue...."
Jacen listened to the teacher's rather wordy summation of the Crusades, all the while only one thought ran through his mind; it was good to be home.
