[Amy : LoD : Imperial City Streets]

Amy nodded as if she understood, listening intently. In truth, she was just hearing the whole story first, like one does sometimes when they can't pause the game. She felt emotions building up, but they simply didn't have time to sink in completely; instead, they shifted and changed with Kyla's re-telling of the story as Kyla retold it. When she didn't know how to feel about it, strange parts of the pictures would stick out to her, or she'd think strange thoughts that didn't really go along with anything that was happening at the moment. Probably because, despite her eagerness to learn, she was still tired.

For the moment, she asked no questions. Just listened eagerly.

[Axel: LoD: Imperial City Streets]

The said Flurry of Dancing flames, was walking through the streets, brushing the ash off his singed clothing. The Guaddo, Sea-moar- what was his name? Talk about a weeeird looking guy. But then again, who was he to talk, he has seen weirder.
With the break in-between destinations, Axel figured this was the perfect time to just get some air away from the baby sitting and guarding and searching and fighting and... all the other things that in spite of the tension were so mundane to a person incapable of emotional reflection.

It was then he caught sight of a very familiar tuft of blond hair.

' Eh?... What's blonde up to?' he wondered. Perhaps Tea wasn't the guys thing? He'd overheard what the kiddies were going to do, so... he figured he would pass for now. It's been a while since he been back here, he was curious if it changed at all since his last visit.

Perhaps a venture down memory lane may stir something other then the falsity expressions, and dug up something more real inside him.

Speaking of memory lane- Axel's general direction seemed to come across that of the buster bladed. He watched him trudge along through the bustling streets and approachable as a brooding badger.

[Cloud : LoD : Imperial City Streets -> Firework Yard]

Exploration was his initial reason for breaking off from the Earthlings. At least, it was a logical step. Habit, really.

Know the area you are in. Ha. Have you got it down, yet? You'll learn... someday.

Cloud frowned, and suddenly changed his course, going down the nearest alley he could find. It short-cut him to another street, not as busy as the last, but still held people. Cloud wanted to be alone. He veered once again, winding up in the yard of what looked like a firework storage shed. The place was shaded by trees that didn't quite keep the sunlight from filtering through. It was currently deserted.

He paused there, and just... stood. He did nothing. Nothing at all.

[Axel: LoD: Imperial City streets > Firework Yard]

Oh this was just cute- It seemed Blonde was doing recon in the scary dangerous chinese city, how primitive of him.
The only thing odd about it, was that he seemed more hell bent on avoiding people then actually taking stock of the place.
One things for sure, when Cloud wanted to be alone, he could move as stealthy as any ninja- no wonder Yuffie liked him.

When he finally found him again, the soldier was standing as still as a statue in front of some kind of - ooooh... a fire hazard!

" Is it just me, or is that one of the WORST places to store flammables. Seriously? Trees? Obviously theses people don't know a thing about work-safe."

He remarked as he walked out from his hiding place around the corner. Frankly he didn't enjoy stalking and watching like some kinda weirdo, Demyx has that covered.

"So- find anything interesting besides the- eeermm.. Wild Spinner Red snake?" he asked, poking at a particularly Big Red Long and reptilian shaped firework.

[Cloud : LoD : Firework Yard]

Cloud's eyes narrowed upon Axel's appearance, and he nearly pointed his Buster Sword at him, stopping himself just short of doing so. He had his hand on the handle and everything.

"Axel," he said, trying not to sound surprised the Nobody had followed him, but knowing he was failing at it, "What are you doing here?" The 'you' held a hateful tone to it, and the question was generally not friendly. If the Nobody was observant, he'd catch the almost apologetic look that flashed across Cloud's face the moment after he said it, quickly replaced by his no nonsense mask.

[Axel: LoD: Firework Yard]

The nobody's brow raised nearly to the lining of his red spiky hair. Ever since they crossed paths in Radiant Gardens- this guy's been acting weird. At first he allotted it to being maybe his usual persona. But the more time went by, he started realizing he was pointedly pissed at HIM for some reason he couldn't seem to fathom.
Now he wasn't foolish to think indignantly, like he didn't deserve it. Some people here had fair reason to hate his guts, but as far he could recall, he never remembered meeting this guy.
Even when he was doing some dirty work as an organization member. He still didn't think they met.
Unless maybe someone got him drunk sometime in his past life and he serious screwed with this guy... maybe?

Well, maybe- but the chances were too slim. So frankly, it didn't take feelings to decipher he was just being a down right p***k.

- But what was that just now? He could have sworn the guy looked a little guilty for his non- too-friendly greeting.

"I could ask you the same thing- observing Fireworks seems pretty useless, but that's not really my business now is it. So why should I answer yours?"

He tossed the one back onto the pile.
"... Ey uhh, I was wondering though."

Axel crossed his arms and turned to face the ruffled looking Buster user before continuing. " Did I- I mean, have we actually met before? By any chance?"

...please don't let it be I owe him money...

[Cloud : LoD : Firework Yard]

Cloud made a disgusted noise, and looked toward the familiar man, speaking clearly but seeming frustrated Axel did not understand the obvious. "You just don't get it at all."

Axel might note that Cloud's hand had eased off of his sword. Not that it meant Axel was any safer. Cloud could easily draw the blade in a heartbeat. However, he seemed more intent on talking than fighting at the moment, and it was clear he was struggling with what he wanted to say. Perhaps he wasn't sure how to phrase it? Perhaps he thought it unwise to say anything at all...

Betrayal.

"A long time ago, I had... a very good friend. He looked just like you. Everything. Your mannerisms. Your face. Only your voice is different. But it's enough..." Cloud trailed off. He was struggling with something.

[Alan :: LoD :: Imperial City Streets]

Alan nodded as Kyla spoke, his expression inscrutable. It looked like getting answers wasn't going to be so simple as all that - he had a sneaking suspicion that even in this more informed group, everyone had a garbled and incomplete grasp on the truth. For now, though, he listened quietly. Questions could wait until this woman's story was finished.

[[Louis : Train : Training Car]]

Louis was shocked to find James move so fast. He finished through in one fluid motion ending up in a stretched out position close to a kneel, His movement speeds hadn't seemed nearly that great before, heh, always something new to surprise me eh? Guess I couldn't read you like I thought I could... but... that's not the point of this exercise.

Louis threw his daggers to his sides, the daggers disappearing and reappearing above via dark portals. The meteors pounded against the daggers but they kept playing interception no matter much rained down on them, though a few flaming particles landed on his shoulders which he quickly brushed off and glanced back towards Kyle, Jenny, and Dawn. Just in time too. Louis realized just a moment before that he was caught in the line of fire now thanks to James' unexpected dodge.

"Shh-!" He jumped to the side, dodging most of Kyle's blasts, but it wasn't enough to avoid the horizontal strike. It clipped his shoulder and spun him around violently and to the floor. Crap! I'm stuck between and rock and a hard place! This was bad planning on my part I suppose. But who would have guessed he would move like that. Wait! Louis looked up and thought of something suddenly. He reached out with a hand and redirected his dark portals. On either side of James, His daggers reappeared passing quickly from portal to portal. The daggers created mobile walls, restricting James to either a forward or backward motion. With Kyle's blasts coming in from the front, he'd have no choice but to take the blows one way or another.

Leaving that, he turned away and fired bullets from his rifle at Dawn and he regained his footing to begin his retreat.

[Axel: LoD: Imperial City Streets]

" You just don't get it at all."

"Big surprise- Do I look psychic to you? Seriously Cloud-" note he used the guys proper name this time "- I thought you were smarter then that."

He watched the guy relax his hands off the hilt of his sword. Man- for a guy with a cold shoulder and such an uncaring air, he was about as tightly wound up as a spring, ready to snap if pushed just a bit further.

And a miracle. He decided to fill the flabbergasted nobody in what exactly seemed to be the chip in Clouds shoulder.
The moment the truth slipped from between the iron clad lips Axel finally started cluing in. Well that explains why he wont stop staring!

" I see..." he trailed off, eyes drifting to the ground. " Huh, they say everyone has a double some where." But having match looks didn't seem like a good enough reason to him. So what?! Would Sora hold it against him if he looked like Riku? No that's stupid- it had to be something else.

Only one question seemed sharp enough to chip a better reason from this iceberg.

"So where is he?"

[Kyla: LoD: Imperial City Streets]

" When I arrived the original group had already had joined forces with Captain Silver, and there was Kuja the genome by then. But when we were brought to the maze, everyone was split up. I assume, thought I appeared in the maze along with Maggie." A shadow passed behind the girls eyes as she remembered what happened next. For as long as she lived, she would never forget that moment, never. " As the maze of thorns closed in and changed corridors, Maggie and I encountered Cory for the first time."

She flipped ahead, showing the rev-blade users, with his smirking face, and cold eyes. " Suddenly a wall of thorns separated Maggie and me. Cory then proceeded to ...hack her to pieces while I tried to blast my way through. But I wasn't fast enough- and he left with her ' seemingly lifeless body' through another portal. There were no words." And that was a summarized version of something remained burned into the back of Kyla's mind like a scar. She spared them the even gorier details.

"I eventually regrouped with a few of the others and eventually we found our way into the bowels of Hades domain. where we fought Chernabog."

And sure enough, she showed them various illustrations of the battle with the massive demon of Darkness. eventually leading to it's face being blasted off in a finishing blow.

" After that, we were all nearly running on empty- but form what I remember, we had to save Noelle. She was near death when she finally came for her in the depth of Hades domain. From there we had a battle that was aided by none other then Kuja... and an unexpected appearance of Ansem."

"Now that wasn't the first time we've seen him, he appeared also to threaten us while we approached agrabah. But it was just an illusion, Kuja proved that when he destroyed it."

Kyla had taken the chance to copy his visage, record it along with everyone else she met, but taking his likeness wasn't easy. There was something... cursed about the processes. She remembered the coldness she felt, and of course.. the tears of darkness that streaked from her eyes unbidden. It was frightening, and to this day Kyla still wondered if copying him into her book was a good thing.

" Frankly, like the first apparition, this one was also a fake. And banished easily again by our allies as we dealt with the other grunt work. I- I don't remember much of what happened after that- because you see I reached my limit, so I apologize. I wasn't conscious to record what happened next. But according to the others, Noelle was revived."

This fact was proven as she flipped over a completely blank sheet, with the scribbled text -' Missing data"- and the few foot note testimonies of those who she spoke to later.

" When I awoke, Alladins hearts was returned, Maggie was safely brought back- apparently, killing her wasn't initially Cory's plan. But it was revealed he was hired by Hades from the start."

The artist paused and looked ahead of them, wondering if they had arrived at the tea shop yet. She had been talking so much now, she could use a little drink to wet her throat with.

(( If I got some details wrong PLEASE correct me! It's a lot to remember, and I maybe missing some facts.))

[Captain's Edit: The only key detail I noticed was incorrect was the fight with Cerberus- we actually fought Chernabog. I changed it for you.]

[Nick :: Bamboo Thicket >> Imperial City]

Nick couldn't help but gasp as the Darkness flooded his heart; Seymour's finger was like a needle injecting medicine into his blood. It didn't hurt, just an uncomfortable pressure seeping into his chest. It was there and gone in an instant, yet time seemed to slow down considerably for the Lanista.

As Mateus offered his final piece of advice and 'died', Nick couldn't help but chuckle. Louis may have his own plans, but I have a plan of my own that I will execute. And when I do, things are going to end badly for anyone who gets in my way.

"Master Seymour, I shall take my leave of you now. I do not wish to disturb you any further than I already have. Now, I have one question...Where am I heading to?"

[Cloud : LoD : Firework Yard]

"He's dead," Cloud answered. Simple, to the point, brief. Axel reminded him of a dead friend, or more specifically the circumstances surrounding his friend's death. Of course, there was no way Axel could have known that, and Cloud was aware of this. It was just...

"It doesn't matter," he said, a blatant lie. An attempt to bury it, like he had been doing for years anyway. "You're not him. You just bring up old memories. That's all."

That may have been Cloud's equivalent to an apology. Although, technically, he had already apologized to Axel on one other occasion; he just never got the chance to reveal why he was acting like an a**, and continued to act like an a**. On the same note, he was avoiding explaining it fully now. Some wounds ran too deep.

You'll never let go of your past.

How can I? It's staring me in the face.

Axel would have to try harder, and the wisdom in that was questionable. Sure, it would get everything out and on the table right here and now, but the only plus side to Axel would be his satisfied curiosity. The downside of pushing the edgy Buster Sword wielder was the very real possibility of Cloud attacking him. He seemed a bit more stable after having finally told Axel that he looked like his friend, but that hidden current of, well, whatever it was, kept the glare in his eyes. Would Axel push it further, and possibly fight? Or let it drop, and be satisfied with the little knowledge he had gained?

Cloud seemed to think that was the end of their conversation. He began moving out of the Yard without another word.

[Axel: Lod:Fireworks Yard]

Oooooh boy- talk about hitting a sore spot.

Of all people you could do that to- Cloud would probabbly NOT be the best choice.
But really- how is any of that his fault? What could you say? 'er... sorry I was born like that? I'll ask my late mother to get it right next time?'

Anyone else would have probably blown up in his face right now-but such raw feelings like pure anger, and annoyance were beyond his reach at this point. Funny, he was able to tap into them so easy before when he was with Roxas.
But he could at least act the part for now.

Besides, this was obviousy bothering Blonde enough to mess with his head- and they were supposed to work together weren't they?
Can't have one of them acting loopy, and possibly run the risk of snapping at the worst possible time.

" Hey- hold up a second." he started as Cloud began to walk off, " You can't just spout that nonsense and expect me to be satisfied. I maybe a nobody with no heart to empathize with, but it doesn't take a genuis to see this a serious problem. It's distracting you- and messing with your head."

He crossed his arms again, stepping closer.
" So out with it- that's not all is it, did something happen between you? Did you 'part lives' on bad terms or something? Cause frankly, you're annoyed attitude isn't what anyone would expect; shouldn't you be ackwardly fond of me or something? Not pissed off."

He raised a brow and tried to stirr him a little more- " Unless that's how you normally show people you care? Good grief-if thats true, I'm screwed if you love me or something."

[Alice :: Hook's Ship]

Alice grinned as she watched Timmy go flying, though soon enough the defender found solid grounding for his feet. The animator, herself landed lithely not to far away from the teen with a bemused glance. Her eyes flickered briefly to survey the height from where they now stood to the deck, the agonized cries of the crew still wafting upwards to her ears.

She quickly returned her gaze just as the first bolt of lightning flew, there was no time to dodge so she raised her arm in defense instead. There was a tingling sensation that jolted through the length of her arm, accompanied with little sparks that jumped from the fabric of her sleeve. Alice quickly moved higher up the mast, jumping from one post to another, only to stop at the top. She lowered her arm, shaking it as if to get rid of the numbness. "You have no tact! If you attack wildly, you'll tire soon and then you'll be dead meat~"
