Assassin | Sharingan | Bloody Mist While Kai's clone took care of things outside, Kai continued his training. He once more let his chakra flow throughout his body, a thin film of chakra forming over his body. Once the chakra covered his whole body, Kai charged his chakra with raiton energy. His skin began to tingle as the chakra film was charged with raiton chakra. Then, pushing the chakra away from his body, Kai made several hand-seals and called out, "Raikou Bunshin no Jutsu."A small arc of electricity shot off of Kai to the ground, and then where the electricity had struck, a distinctly humanoid form began to appear. It continued to shift and grow until what was once an indistinct humanoid mass of light and superheated air took on a very familiar appearance. Kai smirked as bit as the clone finally formed, and there standing in front of him was a mirror image of himself. He knew that what made this clone special was that it was a physical manifestation and not simply a genjutsu, unlike the clone he had sent out earlier. He reached toward the clone, his index finger out-stretched and attempted to poke the clone. Before his finger reached his clone, the clone's hand shot out and smacked his finger aside, Kai merely smiled and said, "very good.""Only through struggle can we grow."

"This is really rather bothersome isn't it?" Axel stated as he scrathed the back of his head. "Hey Estellise, Outou's at the beach...though she might be having one of her hissy fits and would rather be alone," Axel yelled out to her. He didn't even bother going outside to greet the same chakra signature that he had felt before...even though he was rather curious as to why he felt a cold sensation coming from him. Whatever...it didn't matter. "Hey Kai...I see your training huh? I've already reached my max at this level unfortunately," Axel sighed.

Assassin | Sharingan | Bloody Mist Kai looked over his shoulder at Axel's statement, a questioning look in his eyes. "There is always room to grow, self-improvement is an ongoing process. There is never a point at which a person cannot improve themeself, there is only a point at which they stop trying to do so", Kai replied in his cold tone. Kai then focused his attention back to his training, not waiting to hear Axel's response. Looking over the next jutsu on the scroll, Nagare Isou no jutsu(current transfer jutsu).
Kai looked over hand-seals, committing them to memory as he slowly formed them himself. He forced chakra into the palms of his hands, and mixed in raiton chakra, his hands tingling in much the same way his body had as he made the lightning clone. He then quickly made the hand-seals and calmly said, "Nagare Isou no Jutsu." He felt his hands begin to heat up as the jutsu was initiated, but then chakra in his hands faded as the power of the jutsu quickly ate through the bit of chakra it had to feed on. It seems that I'll have to give it a steady flow of chakra until the jutsu is complete, Kai thought to himself calmly."Only through struggle can we grow."

(Lol, i'm serious, i've learned all that i could at genin according to the limit crying )
"Wise words from the weird Uchiha," Axel chuckled lightly. It seems that while Kai was cold and focused, Axel was more of a laid back and easy going. Though others may see him as arrogant, he liked to think of it more as confidence in his abilities.

Assassin | Sharingan | Bloody Mist Kai readied himself to perform the jutsu once more, focusing chakra into his palms and mixing raiton chakra with it once more. This time as he made the hand-signs Kai forced a steady stream of chakra into the palms of his hands. "Nagare Isou no Jutsu," Kai said once more. He felt it once more as the energy in his hands began to build, the steady flow of chakra allowing the jutsu to reach its full potential. Then suddenly it was complete, and he lifted his hands in front of his face to examine them. Electricity arced all around his hands, not an overly powerful charge, but enough to perhaps stun someone if they weren't expecting it.
Now to master the technique. Kai drew his sword from it sheath, and took in a deep breath. The he forced chakra into his hands in a sudden burst, trying to force the electricity into the blade. But as the electricity moved into the blade it dissipated into the air, completely harmless. Kai simply watched the process, trying to figure out how he could rectify the problem."Only through struggle can we grow."

Assassin | Sharingan | Bloody Mist Kai thought he now knew what to do. He performed the necessary hand-seals once more and said, "nagare isou no jutsu." His hands were once more charged with electricity, and then moved to test hi new theory. He forced chakra into the blade, not the jutsu, just chakra. His hope was that the jutsu would more readily accept being held by his chakra than the blade by itself. He forced chakra once more into his hands, pushing the electricity into the blade. Kai smirked a bit when he saw that he had succeeded, his blade now arced with electicity. Closing his eyes, Kai released the jutsu and sheathed his blade, then turned to look toward Axel. Kai's face showed no emotion as he said to Axel, "Tell me Axel, why have you chosen to walk the Path of the Shinobi?""Only through struggle can we grow."

"It wasn't really something I chose, it was something that was kinda thrusted upon me. When I was younger, I was taken away from my home. At the time Zane was taken as well and sent underground and forced to train in the ways of the hunter nin. I on the other hand wasn't as lucky. The previous Mizukage performed crazy experiments on me," Axel explained as he rested against the wall, his hands placed behind his spiky red hair. "Then when he died, my brother managed to get me out before the new kage was elected. So as I said, it wasn't something that I chose. Granted I have no idea what to use my abilities for so I figured I might as well keep going down this path."

Finally Kai shook his head then said, "Ultimately this is the life that you chose Axel. Perhaps you couldn't control what the last Mizukage did to you, but when you were freed you could have just as easily become a merchant, or a farmer. Instead you chose the unforgiving life of a shinobi. Why?""Only through struggle can we grow."

"Don't know anything else. All I know is this, my chakrams, my medical skills, and the fact that I can wield fire. That's all I know, all I've ever known. I couldn't be a merchant or a farmer cause I don't know the first thing about that. Though I have thought of just becoming a doctor," Axel pointed out.

People fear what's unfamiliar, its easier to accept what they know. There was no shame in his answer, it was common. He turned back to the scroll and began reading the next jutsu."Only through struggle can we grow."

Assassin | Sharingan | Bloody Mist Kai's finished reading about the first jutsu, the Raikou Bunshin no Jutsu (Lightning Clone Technique), and readied himself to perform the jutsu. He could already make clones easily enough, now he supposed it was simply a matter of creating one charged with his raiton chakra. He moved through the hand-signs slowly, carefully memorizing them so that he could move through them quickly when he was ready to perform the jutsu. He let his chakra flow through his body the way he normally did when making a clone, letting a small amount of chakra move over every part of his body, as if he were coating himself in chakra.
As he prepared to charge his chakra with raiton energy he heard Estellise talking to someone outside and thought this would be a good opportunity to check it out. He whispered, "bunshin no jutsu", creating a perfect clone of himself. The clone then made its way outside, but rather than going out the front door where it could be seen, it went out the back so that it could sneak over the low wall of the dojo. Once over the wall, the clone of Kai made its way carefully over to the front of the dojo, making sure to make as little noise as he possibly could. It finally made it around and saw the child that had arrived; the others would easily be able to see him, but unless the child had some kind of extra-sensory ability there was no way he would know he was there. He pulled a kunai out of his holster, as he took the last few steps toward the child. Placing the tip of the kunai on the side of the child's neck, Kai said in his usual emotionless voice, "unless you were asked to come here by Zane-sama, I suggest you leave.""Only through struggle can we grow."
((If you are wondering about Hikaru's response... just check the description text of the starting post of the thread... it says Seeking... so Hikaru's response to Kai's high and mighty attitude is justified...))
Hikaru rolled his eyes and said "I was just looking... by the way, this is a dojo for people Seeking training from this Zane Hajime character, first I heard of any permission to just look at something", looking annoyed at Kai, his heterochromic eyes looking straight forward. Hikaru looked at his watch and exclaimed "Crap! My mother is going to kill me if I don't get home soon!", as he managed to get away from Kai's kunai quickly, heading quickly towards the Hyouton clan district, his scarf blowing in the wind. Hikaru unsheathed Kawaige quickly and pointed it forward, speaking a few words to the blade and to the surprise of everyone, a chain of 'water' shot forth from the blade's tip and latched onto a building, and Hikaru was using the chain like a lift, and he used it several times to get to his destination quickly.

"Well that was interesting," Axel stated as he sensed the happenings outside. "What a fool...I'm kinda glad he's gone, aren't you," Axel chuckled to himself.

"Being in this place bums me out," Axel sighed as he watched Estellise go back and sit down. "It's too quiet here..." Axel said as he went into the kitchen. "Ah here it is," he said as he looked into the cuboard and found his brother's sake. Pouring a cup for himself he went back outside and took a sip. It was pretty good, though the alchohol consumption wouldn't affect him in the least.

Assassin | Sharingan | Bloody Mist Kai's clone smirked a bit as the child left, then disappeared in a puff of smoke. The information of the clone's actions came flooding into Kai's mind, as if he had done it himself. Kai did not let the influx of information distract him from his training. He read up on the next jutsu he would be learning, Yaiba no Jutsu(lightning blade technique), a technique he imagined would be very useful for quickly taking out his targets. The first part of the technique called for him to create an electric current in the form of his hand, something that his last technique had taught him to do quite effectively. He made the necessary hand-seals then quietly said, "Yaiba no Jutsu." He then grabbed hold of his right wrist and pumped chakra into his right palm, and then forced a steady flow of raiton charged chakra into his palm until his hand arced with electricity. Time for stage two."Only through struggle can we grow."
