"I was wondering when you'd show, Kazuma," he said quietly, tilting his head as he turned slightly, revealing his injuries to Kazuma. "Fortunately the one who caused most of these wounds got much worse, like a crushed chest and splintered spine," he said softly. He didn't tell them that it had been a little more than a crushed chest. Vientou had practically been impaled on his fist.

Kirama snapped his fingers and all of the summons except for the cubs disappeared in individual puffs of smoke. "Yes, well, they are creatures of myth and lore. Otherworldly so to speak. Demigods." He said as the tiger in his lap playfully carried out a mock battle with his hand. It was funny though, Kirama felt the same way when he saw his mentor summon the cats the first time. But after experiencing battle with these beings, and seeing what they were capable of, that awe had been replaced with respect. He hadn't seen any of the summons, even Yin and Yang, as cute in quite a long time.

Chess nodded "Like pegasus!" she remembered an old book that Nash read to her, the same one that had Apollo's namesake, and smiled. The cubs where smaller than the mythic flying horse but Chess recognized power when she saw it "I still think they're adorable." she shivered slightly and glanced around cautiously, not sure why but she was suddenly more uncomfortable than before. She went back to scratching behind the cub's ears and rubbed a finger over the soft skin of its nose "Heh..."

Jaice chuckled. "Better than my summon... sometimes they can be a plague," he said softly. He shifted his forearm guard, revealing the rear half of a silver and black Chinese dragon marking with bees intermingled with the odd and intricate tribal tattoos. His forearms were the only place where the inryokufuuin seals were visible unless active.

Chess buried her face in the cubs fur then peered sideways at Jaice's forearm, her hair falling to mingle with the fur "Thats...an interesting tattoo." she commented, her eyes wandering along the design before she grinned again. Chess turned her head so her hair made a curtain around the cub and she shook her head at it "Heh...I can call dolls. But they're not very pretty. Once I get better at it, I'm sure they'll look better."

"Hmm, perhaps if you last as long as we three have you will wind up with an ancient summon all your own." Kirama said as he glanced at Jaice's tattoo. Kirama had forgone the trials of the summons. He didn't feel the need to have those types of seals on his body, or have the extra power of the sage modes, so he simply used the classic scroll method. He didn't care if it was out dated and a slight bit slower, that didn't concern him in the least.

Tucking her hair back behind her ears Chess shrugged "Maybe. I have big plans for my jutsu so I don't know if I'll have time." she rubbed behind the cubs ears againg but had settled down to just stroking its back as it lay in her lap, relaxed. She thought about her dream and grinned "I plan to become a master in every known method of puppet summoning. Then I'm going to expand my personal jutsu so I can create dolls from the very elements around me to control." she gave a happy sigh "I just need to become more powerful before I can do any of that. All I can do right now is summon and control a puppet."

Jaice half smiled. "A good way to learn both chakra control and increase strength as well as chakra reserves is 'inryokufuuin', or 'gravity seals'," he said softly. He formed the 'Ram' handsign as the intricate tattoos flickered a pale blue-silver for a few seconds. "They increase the gravity effects of the user, both within the chakra coils and on the body. The first level is basically the user's own body weight, and each successive level doubles the first. At the moment, I'm operating on X5, or roughly five times my own body weight. That means I'm working with one thousand fifteen pounds on each limb and my torso," he explained. Only one person in all of Hi no Kuni (Fire Country) knew how to place the inryokufuuin on someone. She was the only one who knew how to place the seals precisely as neccessary, and only one other in the entire Elemental Countries knew the inryokufuuin even existed.

"And I could teach you how to summon Yin and Yang in a few minutes. They aren't very hard to control and perhaps they could keep you company while people come and go. They won't follow your orders to the letter at first, but they can't really do much damage." Kirama said as he reached behind his back and unstrapped the very large scroll that sat just below his pack. He unrolled it to reveal a long line of names, written vertically in blood with five finger prints of the person who signed it bellow. Kirama's name was a few down from the end where there was an empty section. "All you have to do is sign your name."

Giving Jaice a blank look before leaning down to whisper conspiritorially into the cubs ear, Chess cupped a hand over her mouth "I dont' get it." she whispered to the cub, who yawned at her. She straightened and nodded at Jaice "So...its kind of like wearing weights all the time so you can build up muscle?" she remembered Nash doing stuff like that when he was living in her house "But its with weights you can't see?" Chess gave Kirama a look of wonder as he mentioned teaching her how to summon the cubs "Really!? I'd love to learn." she leaned down to examine the scroll then gave him a questioning look "I sign my name in blood?"

"Yep. You use your thumb." Kirama said as he nipped the tip of his thumb again and blood began to drip. "When you are done you do this," He said as he carefully touched the tip of each finger to his thumb, "And then you place you five finger prints below your name. You already know how to summon your dolls, so practicing at how to use your chakra to summon something shouldn't be required for you." He added as he pulled out a cloth and wiped the blood from his finger tips.

Jaice smiled fractionally for a moment. "Aye, though weights alone affect only the physical body; the inryokufuuin affect both the chakra network and physical body, making the user's strength increase faster. Say you learn a C Ranked technique with the seals at X3; with the seals fully released, it would drain only about a third to half of the amount of chakra from you with the same technique without the seals active than with them," he said quietly.

Chess thought about what Kirama had said, unsure about whether she wanted to mark anything in blood. But If I can summon Yin and Yang...then it won't suck when I'm alone. "Ok." she nibbled on her thumb then squeezed it to get the blood out, signing with her left hand. Then she followed what Kirama had done and touched the tip of each finger to her thumb and placed those below her name "I have pretty good control over my chakra. My jutsu requires me to channel small amounts so I'm pretty good at that..." Chess sucked at the blood on her thumb, getting the wound cleaned and helping it seal. "Is there any specific way to summon them? Or is it the same with my puppets, where I just want them to appear?" she tilted her head to listen to what Jaice was saying and nodded slowly "So its like...weights for your chakra?" she giggled at the thought.
