Zigmund

Castle Oblivion: Halls> Basement Halls

Zigmund had determined rather quickly that Zekvyr was quite the condescending little elf. Oh sure, he didn’t say much at all, at least to him, but you could feel the pride, the malice, and ego bleeding off of the diminutive man like a gaping stomach wound. Zigmund had seen it before, at the Bastion with those idiot researchers of the heart. Though, unlike them, at least this man seemed to know what he was doing and why.

Those thoughts on his mind, Zigmund went through the dark portal, emerging in an entirely new hallway, though given the basic color scheme of the place that could be hard to tell.

Turning to the dark elf, Zigmund smirked and decided to question his helpful “friend”.

“So, not that I’m ungrateful or anything, but why are you helping me with finding the equipment? You don’t exactly seem like the altruistic type.”

~Window~

[Traverse Town :: Third District, Clothing Shop]

Window was still breathing a little hard from the sudden exercise. His body jittered with adrenaline, but he managed to reply to the man called Jonah. "We are actually here due to the direction of a woman...Aero-something." His cheeks reddened with embarrassment over his failure to remember her name correctly; he had been too busy at the time with his apology and concern for his improper manner that her name escaped Window's normally trap-like mind. "But she was garbed in pink with her hair braided, and she traveled with a young child. She said to come here for clothing, and to put everything down on the tab. I do not know what a tab is, but I am assuming you know what it means." He folded his hands politely in his lap as his body calmed down. Window looked over to Nalo, hoping that he might be able to supply the woman's name. He also checked to see how the Viera was doing; when he received the wound, Window had almost froze in shock as the fight achieved a new level of both reality and surrealism. Window felt that he had stepped into a story of fiction, where the world operated by new rules. He had never seen a person bleed like that before, never smelled the tang of blood and watched flesh be rent asunder. Nalo claimed that he was going to be fine, but Window wasn't sure how much the green vial was going to help.

"I believe it was...Aerith?" Nalo said as he happily took the potion from Jonah. "Thanks." Nalo whispered to his friend,"A tab is when you buy things, but don't have to pay until later. It was mainly used so that people could drink through the week, then pay the barkeeper at the end of the week when they recieved their salary." He swilled the potion and felt it fizz and bubble down into his stomach. It was a strange feeling that Nalo still couldn't get over. The potion was hardly lukewarm, but somehow enveloped him in a strange warmth. It tasted bitter with a savory aftertaste, like a fine tea.

"Well Jonah, my name is Nalo, and this is my super friend Window. He currently has no clothes and it's getting very cold outside. Could you supply him with some threads?" Nalo said, smiling as each 's' sound rolled off his tongue. It was his favoite sound.

Already, his wound close up, leaving a smattering of blood stains on his fair skin. "Hmmm. Much better, don'cha think?"

((No problem QD. I don't think I'm going to revive Raziel for PLL so...Not much use for me.))

[You aren't good enough for her... drop dead buddy]

[Traverse Town : Maze]

"Suzuuuuuu!" The boy screamed out in an attempt to find his sister, as he ignored the tarutaru's words of advice. "Why are we even in this maze to begin with?" he mumbled to himself. Right when he was about to turn he quickly jerked back. He slowly poked his head forward to see what was waiting for him around the corner. There were a couple of shadows and soldiers idly waiting by, and he decided he would take this opportunity.

He summoned forth his blades and began to prepare his assault. "Nakitsukidou: Stance 2... Tsubame!" He turned the corner as quickly as possible and fired off two swallows in the Heartless' direction. The surprise attack killed off two Shadows leaving one Shadow and two Soldiers left. The shadow disappeared into the ground while the Soldiers went in with a flurry of kicks.

He tried to parry as many of the kicks as he possibly could, but suddenly one kicked him right in the stomach causing the boy to skid back a bit. The shadow then lunged from the ground and scratched his back, sending him stumbling forward back towards the soldiers. He reacted by stomping his right foot down and decided to end it with the next attack.

"Nakitsukidou: Stance 3..." while planting his other foot down to have full control over the attack. "Tsubaki!" He began to unleash a flurry of blows dragging the Heartless closer to him and then ending them with a vortex like spin. After the Heartless were gone, he felt a little winded and tried to regain his composure. He only had a single potion on him, but he didn't want to use it in case his sister would need it instead. So he proceeded to move on, after regaining his breath, hoping to find his sister.

[Mitsudo::The Maze]

The Monk sighed, this walk...this endless walk...was boring. Nothing happened, no traps, no monsters, nothing. He continued along the path until he reached a small pedestal with three other paths standing before him. Should he go forward? Go left...go right? Too confusing. He finally moved left, stumbling upon the Royal Prince Kuumaru.

"Hello once again, Prince Kuumaru. Have you located your sister yet?"

~Window~

[Traverse Town::Third District, Jonah's Clothing Store]

'Super friend...?' Window glanced sidelong at his companion with a look of mild uneasiness mixed with embarrassment and humor. Did such a corny description come from his mouth? He almost started laughing, but then he realized that he would be guffawing at himself. Still...

"My super friend Window...My super friend Window...My super friend Window..." The words echoed again and again in his mind, each repeat more hilarious than the last. Window put his head down and bit his lip, trying to suppress the snigger but it only resulted in making himself shake harder.

"...MY SUPER FRIEND WINDOW."

It was the final hammer to Window's composure, and his mouth cracked open to let loose a hearty laugh. He had a booming chortle that rang throughout the room and filled it up with an atmosphere of happier times and joyful memories; the air seemed to grow warmer and the light a little brighter. When was the last time Traverse Town had felt a hint of happiness and a reprise the heavy burden of despair? When was the last time that laughter played up and down the alleyways, when people ran in play, not fear? Window wouldn't have known anything about the town's history since he was a new arrival, but he did know how nice it felt to let his heart breathe a moment of relief and relish in Nalo's silly words.

Tsurumi

I'd prefer if you were to just...

...disappear

{Castle Oblivion ~ Commons Area}

{{A rather long overdue Tsurumi post. I'll get to Sol tomorrow.}}

After the crystal prison had dissolved, Tsurumi let the vacuum go and the air rushed back in to fill the space with a small popping sound. While she did wish to ignore the whore, she couldn't just leave her tea sitting there. So, moving back to her seat, she sat down and started to drink her tea once again.

Listening silently to everything that was going on around her, she started to compile information in her head. The whore was Vereor's slave it seemed. Tsurumi almost felt sorry for her for that. She knew the feeling. Then again, she did hate her. Vereor seemed to know what everybody was doing at any given time. Betrayal, possibly murder?, was allowed so long as Vereor wasn't there to physically see it. Vereor seemed to know what had transpired between herself and the whore. Oh, and Haruko had a new playmate.

Paying attention to the fact that she seemed to need a...nickname? Really? Interesting maturity level. Well, if she really needed one.... Thinking back on what a decent name would be, she stumbled upon a childhood memory. A friend drowning because of a maelstrom. Killing without any regard to friend or foe. Hmm. It seemed fitting enough. The Violent Maelstrom. That would be her new alias.

Unfortunately, it seemed that Vereor had left already. She would have to tell him the next time she saw him. Still...what was left to do now that she had to wait for Vereor? She could always explore her room. But that wouldn't be very exciting. Then a sudden thought came to mind. She did have one person who intrigued her. Glancing across the table, she spoke to Aiko, no semblance of having ever fought with her. Well, until she spoke. "So, Aiko...how did you manage to do that? It was a rather curious experience to see myself in that light." She said, looking her in the eyes before she took another sip of the dwindling tea.

˻ ˳

ʃ Castle Oblivion || Commons Area -> Kitchen Ħ

˹The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.˼

Finishing off the last few drops of her second cup, Aiko rose elegantly to her feet. "I'm hungry; would anybody care for a little aburage? I remember purchasing some filled with natto not too long ago," she offered, lifting her cup and saucer off of the table and making her way slowly towards the kitchen, giving anyone present enough time to give her an answer.

Not surprisingly, the Yuki-onna completely ignored Tsurumi's question. And presence. Heck, the wind-user never existed as far as Aiko was concerned.

˻So it all comes down to what you want. Worms, or cheese.˺

Reikonsesshou: Samurai/Nobody/Wanderer

[Traverse Town: First District: Entrance Courtyard]

Reikon's wooden sandals clacked against the stone of street. His black hair hung in a solitary black ribbon down his back, standing in stark contrast to the plain white of his clothes. His arms were hidden in the large sleeves of his haori. He looked for all the world like an actor plucked straight form the set of a samurai movie. But, in reality, the man he'd been a part of had been a real samurai, a truely great warrior. Now he was just an empty shell, body and mind with a heart. His sharp green eyes scanned his surroundings thuroughly, taking in ever minute detail. He would stay here as long as it took, wander each district until he found what he was looking for. He would find them, the Heartless, the Nobodies, and erase every last one of them, himself included. That was his purpose, his only reason to be anymore. He would give all he had left to carry out this last act, to do everything in his power to make the worlds even a little bit less dark.

Kuropo Guroko

{Judge me not by my size; for I am much more then meets the eyes.}

{Traverse Town : Second District : Maze}

Kuropo continued to watch as the group went through the maze, fighting off the Heartless. The hearts of the defeated heartless would return to Kuropo and disappear into the orb of his staff, causing it to glow and then fade.

"Wonderful... All is going so well. Such success makes my heart swell."

He said to himself, making sure that it didn't project down into the maze. He watched as two of them finally met up while the others continued to wander on their own. He wondered how long it would take them to reach the center.

((Alright guys! It's time for round 2!!! I will be editing the original rules from the maze itself in the Q,S,&D thread on page 9 so be sure to check the rules for the changes.))

[Moggie : Traverse Town : The Maze]

Moggie continued to grumble as she walked through the maze. She was holding her injured arm as she stared down the paths in which she walked.

"Dammit. You would think with all this walking one would of found an exit... but noooo" she said to no one in particular.

She soon came around a corner to see two shadows down the path. Moggie could tell if they were friendly or not, but she ducked around the corner.

'Awe crap, I am in no condition to take on anymore of those freaks...' the Moogle thought with a sigh.

She soon took a chance to peek around the corner, her little button eyes narrowing. She was going to need to get past them somehow. From what Moggie could tell there was only one way out of this and that was through force.

Her mind made up, though logic would of told her of a better idea if she wasn't so angry, Moggie stepped around the corner summoning a large fire ball in to the hand of her good arm while she held her Fire Staff in the other.

"Take this you freaks!!!" Moggie shouted loud enough that anyone who was nearby could hear. At that moment she unleashed the large fireball and threw it in the direction of her 'enemies.' Which happened to be Mitsudo and Kuumaru....

{Ignorance is bliss... until reality throws a Heartless siege at you.}

[Traverse Town : Kuropo's Maze]

His wounds healed, the Dragon Knight had moved on, feeling somewhat more confident in his abilities. Of course, the nagging thoughts in the back of his head reminded him that he was actually somewhat rusty, but he attempted to remain positive. Besides, if he was rusty, then these battles would help get rid of the rust and bring he back to par.

Speaking of battles...

As he turned to the right, he spotted a trio of Heartless, each a different species: the frustrating Fat Body, the speedy Wyvern, and the irritating Dark Ball.

Soryuju scowled. These Heartless were more powerful; far deadlier than a pesky shadow, each of these would certainly take more than one blow to destroy, especially the Fat Body-

Which just so happened to charge straight at him with normally-surprising speed. However, Soryuju had fought a few of these before, and quickly dodged to the side, bringing his spear around full circle horizontally to slash at its back. The hit knocked the Heartless off balance for a moment, allowing the blond to focus on the now assaulting Dark Ball, which he countered with by bringing his spear up to guard. Both of them bounced back a few feet; the Dark Ball was somewhat disoriented, allowing Soryuju to exhale a burst of Flame Breath.

The now-fiery Dark Ball freaked out, flying around at random; that left the Wyvern to worry about, which had mysteriously vanished-

"Gah!"

Knocked onto his feet by the sudden rear assault, Soryuju quickly attempted a flip to get onto his feet. With that success, he tried to catch sight of the Wyvern, only to be caught off guard by the Fat Body, who had recovered quicker than he'd expected, knocking the blond into a wall and knocking the wind out of him. He gasped for breath, attempting to recompose himself.

This is getting ridiculous! I'll die at this rate!

Using the gasp to charge his vocal chords, he let out a menacing Dragon Roar, stunning all three Heartless. He released a swift uppercut into the Dark Ball, finishing the monster off before using the momentum to leap into the air somewhat and slam down on the stunned Wyvern, knocking it onto the ground.

With a few moments before the Wyvern would recover, the Knight slid behind the stunned Fat Body and stabbed into its back with full force, destroying the creature. The Wyvern was now starting to get back into the air, but before it could ready an assault, Soryuju threw the spear directly at the creature like a javelin, destroying it.

"I hate this maze," he muttered, limping somewhat as he went to regain his spear before continuing down the path. He couldn't waste a potion just yet, but if he ran into another set of Heartless...

{You look like you fell down a tree and hit every possible branch on the way down.}

[Traverse Town :: Maze]

This is complete squatterbush. Suzu complained mentally as she continued to navigate the maze and as she continued to ignore the gash on her arm. The geomancer slid along the wall allowing her to view what would normally be behind her as well... especially after that first encounter, she wasn't taking any chances. There was a strong reverberation in the walls as if there was a giant panda lumbering up ahead. Of course, Suzu knew it was anything but a cuddly panda but one could hope. The scythe wielder peered over the corner of the wall, eying a fat body with a couple wyverns restlessly flying over its head.

"Oh come on..." Suzu groaned quietly as she slid back her head to stare upwards. How was she managing this one? Luckily no sneak attacks from the heartless like last time. Same tactic? Same tactic. With considerably more effort than the first time, Suzu smashed her sythe into the ground, releasing a stronger tremor, causing cracks in the ground to snake towards the fat body. The big heartless teetered for a second before it fell forward on its stomach.

Suzu smiled as she ran forward, jumping on the back of the fat body and finding it oddly buoyant enough to push her back into the air. She slashed at the closet Wyvern, the blade of her scythe catching on the poor creature's wing and then slicing forward.

The geomancer landed and summoned a cloak of wind before rushing to the next Wyvern. The wind helped her jump, gaining height as she brought the blade down on the heartless, killing it before feeling a burst of pain at her back. The impact sent her flying forward even though the wind had taken most of the force. But falling out of the air was never a good thing, she had lost her momentum and worst of all, she was a bit torn up from the loose cobblestone which reopened her wound on her arm and caused a handful of other nicks and scratches. She turned around from her position on the floor and eyed the last Wyvern with a certain contempt which was right when the ground started thundering and she looked to her left to find the fat body had managed to get up and was now stampeding towards her. Panic.

Suzu struggled to get on her feet and ran, gaining enough distance so that she could turn around to face it again. She summoned up a blade of water, the Lunar Sliver flew towards the heartless only to be rebounded off of its front side.

Ah, Kami-Sama...

Spinning her weapon above her head, Suzu brought it down and right as the pointed blade met with the ground a giant funnel of water erupted. It shot for the air, before rushing downwards towards the Fat Body. It opened its watery maw at the last second and smashed down against the big heartless. The impact caused some of the water to jump back up creating a slight mist that Suzu rushed through to slash the last Wyvern through the mid-section and watching as it exploded into black wisps of cloud that curled upward through the water.

Suzu landed atop the remaining water causing ripples with each step as the water fought to drain itself throughout the maze. There was a pounding throb in her back, and she could swear she was walking with a slight limp with all the little gashes that were dancing up her legs. I really, really need to learn that one healing spell Father knows...

[Castle Oblivion :: Commons Area]

Aria continued to say only the minimal required words as she continued to sip at her tea. She was feeling like a nap but she would have to change the sheets. The Twilight Requiem would have groaned but she was drinking tea.

Placing down her cup, her gaze flickered to Tsurumi who had broke the silence. Interesting how fool-hardy the girl was but Aiko with a certain air of elegance ignored her outright. A slow smile climbed up Aria's otherwise expressionless face making her appear somewhat creepy looking.

Natto? Was that the sticky fermented bean stuff? Number X had been around long enough to introduce the stuff but it had a pungent smell that permeated everything. Though at the mention of food, Aria found herself slightly hungry though she easily devoured an entire baguette prior to the little shuffle in the room. She was fine with the fried slices of tofu it was just the filling. "Thank you for offering Aiko, but I believe Natto is somewhat an acquired taste but maybe I'll try one slice? Perhaps my taste buds have changed."

Nalo started to chuckle alongside Window's tremendous guffaws. "Finally," he said between gulps of air. "I finally got you to laugh!" He tried to stand up but quickly fell back into the plush leather chair. Even Jonah had joined in the laughing.

"Ooh ho!" He chortled. "Now, let me get those measurements from your 'super friend' here and I can see what I can do." Jonah dug into his desk and brandished a thing tape measure. He led Window to a pedastal to extract vital measurements. He spun Window around a few times, but had everything he needed within a few seconds.
