Meatshields.
Brings back the D&D memories...our fighter had a name, I forget what, but everyone just referred to him as the meatshield.
But, meatshield implies...eh, some kind of importance, some kind of...something, I'm not sure what, but it's something missing in redshirts. Like...the fighter actually could accomplish stuff; a redshirt would just get killed.
