A couple hours later, Edward's cell phone went off, rousing him. Grabbing it, he turned the screen on and noticed that he had an email alert that a report had been posted in the system. He quickly reviewed it, and decided that he would have to get up to investigate the matter that Brannon had reported. His first stop would have to be the other branch and talk to Brannon. "Rose sweetie. Its nightfall and we both have work to take care of."

Rosette opened her eyes and sat up a bit too quickly, feeling dizzy for a moment. Her hand rested against her forehead as she quickly shook the feeling off, then looked over at Edward. "Alright..." She smiled weakly, although, on the inside... she was happy that there was work to be done. How long had Kirai lived without any necessary work? She had worked in the dream of achieving luxury, which had been attained... However, she would admit within a heartbeat: she didn't want to enjoy killing, fighting, and war, but in fact, she almost lived for it.

"I just got an email about some murders in the mainlands. I have to go to the Mainlands RCS to talk to Brannon, and see if I can find any witnesses. Apparently there isn't much evidence left. Arson took care of it from what the report says." Edward kissed Rose quickly. "Will you be back by evening?"

Rosette leaned over and placed her soft hand against his cheek, brushing her lips against his before kissing him. After a few seconds, she let go and moved her face away from his. Very softly stroking his bottom lip with her thumb, she smiled and said, "I'll be back by daybreak, I promise."

"There is something that I have wanted to give you for a while now." He leaned forward and bit into her neck, drawling blood, and leaving his mark upon her neck. It was the mark of ones love and affections, also a ward to let him know when she was in danger, and her location.

Rosette was a little shocked at first, but she didn't flinch or move away while he bit her. Pressing her hand against her neck, the two small streams of blood ceased to flow, and two scars were left. Putting her arms around his waist and pulling him into an embrace, Rosette said softly, "I'll wear it with pride, my love." She felt warm inside and visibly blushed
It was as though all those years of nothingness were beyond reach, she was living again. The sting when his fangs bit down was sweet and soft to her, and for a split moment, she could feel her heart beat seemingly entangling with his. She had missed this kind of closeness, something she had only shared with one other... However, for most of her life, Kirai had been completely detached from any comfort to be offered from others. Except for Edward, who had been the only one who stayed beside her. He waited patiently, and now, he still waited.... Rosette admired this about him. It changed her view on him years earlier, when she first realized he was not going to leave her alone to her own damnation.
How awe striking it was to her, that every trace of Avarice and of everyone else who had been in her life or harmed her had been wiped clean! What Warwick took from her, what Avarice shattered into millions of pieces too sharp to put back together, all of that... How much she owed Riley, and how much she owed Nature. Now, only Edward had his mark on her... And for once in her life, it was a mark not of death or injury, but of love.

Edward smiled. "I will see you at sunrise my love." He started to walk away backwards from her, not wanting to leave her side, but knowing that he had a job to do, and keeping his word to the people, he was going to go do it. "I love you." And he was gone out of the room, and soon the building on his way to the mainlands branch.

Kirai mouthed the words, 'I love you too', and stood up. After freshening up and redoing her hair and straightening out her clothing, she checked the time. 8 o clock. It's not too late... Quickly, she got her cloak on and headed out. She was going to go on ahead and find Riley. The quicker she could get to work doing and learning everything that was required, and more, the better off things would be. As she walked out of the building, Kirai looked up at the moon as a swift wind blew the hood off of her head. A soft illuminating light; after seeing true darkness, I could never call this 'night'.

Here goes nothing?- The headquarter's was in it's average state it seemed rare nowadays that they ever saw new recruits. So, one can imagine the shock to find a very young, very innocent looking Sorrow St.Clair standing near the front desk with a book under one arm dressed in ragged looking and tattered street clothes, purest white hair disheviled and tassled in dramatic waves. Her face was smeared in blood as if she'd taken a tumble down a few flights of stairs and the dirt present in various spot hinted this may have been a final resort; enlisting.

Kara waddled down the stairs and found Connie standing there, looking lost. "Can I help you miss?" She asked kindly as she finally got down the stairs.
