Kora: Slave Kora scowled at Cal nodding once and watching him walk away. Opening her mouth as she turned her eyes to the elf. "Thank you," she said softly, taking the bite. She watched the shop, sending a glare at Conroy in his cage. "Shut up boy," she said, her voice full of contempt. She knew that he was probably right, but they hadn't really been there long either. She had been looking forward to having fun with Jackson.

Kaura shook her head at Conroy slightly, urging him not to speak before continueing to feed Kora. She let her eat at her own pace, until the bowl was empty, and Kaura stepped back. "Is there anything else you need?" She asked quietly, ignoring the angry sounds her stomach was making at giving away her meal.

Kyoko opened her eyes and nodded slowly. She wacthed as Cal and an Elf were caring for another Neko. "She does not seem so happy." She said clinging to the bars and shaking them roughly. Kyoko was startled when the Elf aproched her with a tray. "W-what is this?" She said picking an apple. "Is this for me?" She asked quietly. Kyoko looked around and took a bit of it. 'It's juicey!' She thought. She smiled and eat the food before and thanked the Elf then turning away and frowning.

With a huff, Conroy supressed the urge to argue back and ignored her glaring. He thought that he might get lucky and someone easier to kill would buy him. Or he could get unlucky and someone even worse would buy him, but that seemed unlikely. At the time though, it did't seem like any customers were interested in buying him anyway.

Quietly, in the back she opened her eyes, careful not to make restless noise. She didn't want to bring attention to herself as she listened to somewhat urgent air of the room beyond the door. Silently, she stretched her wings to find them healed.
Looking up from her place, she noted the slight stiffness in her back and figured it was from her wings healing and turning more mortal than she was. It'd most definantly not be the last time they tore if she continued to speak her mind like that. Biting her lips she scanned the room and folded her wings around her as she she continued to kneel.
Pressing her lips together she made a cross over her chest and prayed. She wanted to speak to her last "master" one last time and ask for his forgivness despite what every one had said and ocked her for. She spoke in an ancient language that was only know by few so no one could understand her. Yet the more she prayed the more she forgot words and finished her prayer with a silent english, Amen
Blaise watched intently as Cal turned away and Kaura had been doing a minor acrobatics act around the shop. Quietly, she thought to herself a way to help Cal. She was tired of fighting, all it had done was cover her in chains, bore her in the back row, and force her to sit in a locked cage since she was first brought here when the shop first opened.
"Cal, I know you probably don't want me to seak. Yet if you need any help while Kaura is busy with the rest of the shop. I can do some minor paperwork. Especially with filing. I know that she can do fine herself and my apologies for me not remaining in my place, but the bars in front of me are getting boring to view and I know that you and her are a few hands short."

Kora: Slave Shaking her head, Kora leaned back in her cage and closed her eyes. Now that she had calmed down from her frantic awakening, she happened to be exhausted. Some of the sedatives would stay in her system for another few hours, coursing through her until they wore off. Her hands were already numb from hanging above her, cold.

Kyoko finished the food and pushed the tray to the side of her cage and curling up in the back away from the cage door. She starred at it for a while and looked over at all the other slaves with big eyes and looked around at the masters walking through. "I want out." She quietly with a slanted face. "Someone...Hellooo?" She said through the cage bars wondering if anyone would listen to her call. "Ugh." Kyoko put her hand on the bar and lowered her head slowly. "Anyone out there going to speak to me?" She whispered.

Cal: Master and Shop Owner Cal smirked as the neko shut up and walked off. There was a slight tinge of disappointment to her quietness. He wanted to punish someone he wouldn't regret doing it to and release some of his frustration. As he made his way back to the front, he heard Conroy poke at Kora and looked at him. "Careful boy, I could put you in the back just as easily as her," he said with a gesture at Kora. Not waiting for a response, he continued on, only to be stopped again by Blaise.
Moving over to her cage, he slitted his eyes and looked at her. "And why should I even consider your request?" he asked her. "You have been nothing but trouble in here, hence why you are in the back row of cages. How do I know that once I let you out and give you a little freedom you won't make a beeline for the door and run off?"

Kaura listened to Blaze at Cal talk, both point of view making sense to her. She knew it was awful to be locked away in the horribly small cages for extended periods of time, and all the slaves wanted more freedom, as she had.
She walked behind Cal, and gently touched his arm to get his attention. "I could watch her." She said softly. "Just an hour or two, it is not long before closing after all."

"I'm not afraid of you" Conroy called out to Cal who seemed preocupied with everyone else. He folded his arms and waited for him to threaten him again or maybe even follow through with it, but it didn't matter.

"Conroy..." Kaura said softly, with a quiet shake of her head. She left Cal's side, moving to stand in front of the Wolf's cage, her hands clasped before her. "Please, I do not wish to see you hurt... Would you be so kind as to not cause a fuss... At least for my sake?"

Conroy looked up to see Kaura in front of him. He sighed and mulled the thought over. "Fine. Its not like I can do anything in this cage anyway." he mumbled agitated not at her, just the situation. "But I'm not apologizing." he added quickly.

Kaura smiled gently, and reached through the bars. She put a hand on his head gently, stroking down some fly-away hair. "Thank you." She whispered, with a calm smile. "I did not want you to be whipped."

There was a loud clatter and two men carried in a large cage containing Jayson. He slammed his fits onto the bars while kicking and screaming. "You better release me now you incompotant men!" He continued banging on the bars. One on the garuds stepped forward. "Cal we got this one from an annonomus man who said that he wanted you to take him now...Where should we put him?" The garud took a step back to the cage. Jayson looked up then back at the bars. "Stupid steel!" He yelled kicking the bar even harder.

"No offense Cal. You aren't any better at assuming what I will do than any other master who has looked over me and cosidered buying me. Let me consider my options....get out, run, be free briefly, before for some bloody reason brought back and beat....or...get out, help you, stretch, be able to sleep tonight without wishing I wasn't me for the last.... five years, or was it six years....I don't really remember. All I know is right now....helping you helps me last another bloody day without wanting to cause trouble." she replied ignoring all the fuss and speaking through it all directly to Cal. "Besides, Kaura, though completely competant....has her hands full and me causing trouble causes more strife for everyone. Mostly me, call that selfish and despite my love for torture....sitting in the cage so long has truly gotten to me. So call it fueled by the selfish desire....but you can have my word that I won't run. Besides there isn't much more I can risk losing besides my complete sanity and even that's at the lacking edge of breaking seeing as I am gifted and yet, never put to use."
She felt alot better fessing up she had been selfishg for wanting out and helping yet she didn't care. The worst he could say was no and Kaura was right. It was only a couple more hours till closing. She relaxed against the back wall.
"Besides, I have seen and know what happens when a slave runs. I have, I'll admit, attempted it before and have watched you deal with it. The Angel in the back room who is now awake would be a more likely canidate to run than me. Though I am a very big gambler given the chance, so I;'ll wager with you. If I prove myself in any way lacking and only being under foot or attempt to run, any punishment you decide is fit for me, multiply it by the number of times Kaura has managed to apologize for her own mistakes up to that point. So far I have counted to atleast seven possibly eight times. Yet, if I am nothing but help use my help and allow Kaura to rest once done with her handful until closing. Then I will, without a fuss or fight go back to my cage and you will have no trouble from me for atleast a month. Deal?"
