When it comes to human interaction, we tend to ask how someone feels when we care for their well being, I understand that it may be a new thing for you since you're used to things on Vulcan, But on earth; people work Differently.

Mother, I am learning your culture...though I will not deny the difficulties I am having. Human emotion is quite illogical. I have experienced in my observations that it is prudent to dwell in logical means, not rash.
Jim..I mean, the Captain is the example of most illogical behavior. He runs high on emotion. I do not see how in the long run that it will benefit. I see that the human race will be destroyed by their own emotions.

not to interject, but sometimes emotions are a good thing. if something or someone makes you feel like crap about yourself, your emotions start saying stuff like "this makes me FEEL bad" and then you get out of the situation as quickly as possible

It was not my intent to offend you Mother. I am merely inserting logic to try and fathom human emotion.
I find that most illogical mother, as I heard my birth was...'painful'. I do not see why you would be happy about that.
I protest to that statement. Everything can be questioned with logic.

Labor is a painful thing, yes. But the results of it is the most beautiful feeling in the world. I hope you one day can experience the beauty of holding your child in your arms aswell.
