She had to think about it, it was rough, but not because of the saddle sores, but she focused on the saddle sores.
"Yea, but I haven't really sat down except to bath and that was quick," Lin murmured, "Not since we got back."
Otherwise she laid in bed, probably on her side.
"I have to admit I didn't think I would get sick of riding."

Alyse smiled pitifully at Lin. "You get used to it," she said softly. "I promise."
Timaeus chuckled. "You can't trust her on that one," he winked at Lin. "She knows as well as I do that since we both grew up riding horses, we never had the problems that new riders do."

Lin had to giggle at that, "Then I'll just to ride more now won't I?"
Which was something she was expecting in the future. She just hoped her butt could stand for it.

"After you've rested," Alyse giggled. "Once you can sit again."
"Ah, don't tease her," Timaeus smiled. "It's not her fault she didn't grow up with horses like we did."
"She pretty much did!" Alyse protested. "Seriously! Lin, how much of your life did you spend out here? I mean, between all of your visits, and how little time passes in your world ..."

Lin tried to think about it, she lost count of how many hunts she had been on, it had to be only a hand full, which was an elvish month each. Which was two months solar time...
"About a year and a half here and more than two years in the Southland at least," Lin finally replied.
How old was she anyways?
"I'm supposed to be two in another month," she scratched the back of her head, "I have to be over five by now."

At that observation, Alyse and Timaeus both burst into laughter. They knew what he meant, but it was funny nonetheless to hear her say that she was older than her age.
"And yet you make it sound as if it's something of a surprise," Alyse giggled. "Seriously, everyone else expects it, and it does make sense - why do you seem so surprised?"

"Well, it's not something I really think about," Lin replied with a shrug, "I mean... I grow in spurts rather than over time, and otherwise I do not change at all."
She paused for a moment before adding.
"It's just odd when I stop to add up the months."

Alyse smiled amusedly. "All the more reason for me not to visit your world," she said wistfully, "even though I'd love to just for the sake of being able to read the books that Shiro talked about when he was here."
She looked defensively at Timaeus. "I know, I promised I wouldn't. I'm just saying I'd like to read their books. Maybe."
Timaeus arched one eyebrow. "Good," he said simply.

Lin rolled her eyes, but they were a really cute couple and she was going to admit that.
"Why don't I ask Shiro for books to borrow and the next time I come or the twins come they can bring it to you. He looks after the clan library, he could do so."
It wasn't like anyone else used the books that often anyhow.

"Calm down," Timaeus chuckled before Alyse could get too worked up.
Alyse giggled and blushed faintly. "I'd like that, Lin," she said softly, pressing into Timaeus's side as if she were trying to hide herself.

Lin chewed on her lower lip trying not to laugh. Alyse really hadn't changed overly that much in some ways.
"I'll talk to Shiro then when I get home," she promised.
It would give her an excuse to visit more, which reminded her, she also needed to visit the Eastland. So many places and only one her.

"Perhaps you should tell Shiro to come himself," Alyse suggested. "I'd love to see him again, it's been so long already ..."
At Timaeus's questioning glance, she smiled at him. "You won't remember him, he hasn't been here since I was young, and you would have been too young to remember."
Timaeus nodded understandingly.

"Not to mention Shiro's grown a long time ago, he's tall," Lin murmured, "Granted it's hard to miss someone like him once you know him."
Even Ura was less noticeable if such a thing could be said about a neko.
"Ura and Kaito did too, well.. then again Elnara's family as a whole hasn't visited here except for that one time."
So overall it had been way too long.

"Well tell them to come again," Alyse smiled widely. "With Celebor and his family here now, they have all the more reason. As if Elrohir wasn't reason enough."
So much of Elnara's family was here - sure, a small percentage, but with a family as large as hers that was still a lot of people.

"I'll do that," Lin replied.
Actually she thought it was a great idea, it seemed what with some living in the Seconds world and others living here and then having busy lives in Gaia the family had been sort of drifting since the days of the inn.
"Besides, Elnara and Lore need to visit with Garrick and Hana."
Back in the valley, Feng let herself into Ulani and Ulrich's house. She figured they were probably in the kitchen.
