Garret looked at her and pulled out a small apple. He cut off a piece of the apple and ate it.

Katsuko sighed. she finally let her tired arm drop to her side. "Are you going to go to the ceremony?" she asked him.

Katsuko took his hand and took the apple core from him. she popped the seeds out and went to a corner of the garden maze. she dug a small hole with her hands and dropped the seeds in the hole and covered it up. "There we go." she patted the mound. *I love the feel of the earth.* she thought.
