KoTari felt he would need to test this, or think about it more, or something. His claws gently squeezed Makira, but not too strongly, "Want to go back now?" He asked.

KoTari wasn't exactly tired, but he did as he was told. He descended and soon they were on the ground. KoTari lowered himself down to the ground and folded his wings back.

"...You're welcome," KoTari thought. He lowered his head to see her on eye level. This is the girl he has to spend his life with, as her pet. Why does he only feel sad about the pet thing now? He continued to watch her with his large blue eyes.

Makira looked back into his eyes with her light purple eyes. She knew that he was her pet, but she still didn't want to treat him as one.

KoTari continued to try and understand his feelings. He doesn't want to be a pet to her, but he's okay now that he's with her? Does this mean he's seeing her as an equal now? He continued watching her, trying to figure this all out.
