The Lycan's growled, but the pup stood in their way. They growled back and forth amongst themselve, before the older ones, turned, kicking up dirt with their back paws and left. The pup turned to look up at Sark and shifted. He was a little boy, somewhere aged around 3-5. His hair was bronze and hung in his face and his eyes were a bright green. "Your safe." He promised.

Avarice smiled back at Kirai, kissing her forehead. He wanted to sleep, but was fighting the urge. ((Like me!))

"Your awake now." He mumbled, removing his glasses and tossing them onto a cushion. That way, they wouldn't break. "How could I possibly sleep?"

She smiled and tried to hide a small laugh because of this. "Your wonderful to be around either way dear, you may sleep if you want..."

He promised. she smiled and knelt down next to him, the flaimes fadeing away before she let go of Xal. " thank you. i didnt want to hurt them... they wont hurt you for deffending me will they?"

"No. I'm not tired..." Avarice urged, eyelids growing heavier, before closing. "I'm...not ssslleepp.." Then, he was asleep, face peaceful and relaxed, breathing lightly.

He looked down at the ground. "No, they won't hurt me..." He looked up quickly, smiling again and avoiding the looks of promise from his pack. He'd hurt later, but he wouldn't worry his new friends over that. "My name's Demitri. What's yours?"

Kirai could not help but grin, and put her hand up by her head, closing her eyes. Oh Dr.Avarice, you can be serious, yet also can be so funny and adorable at times. Her mind then cleared, as she slowly began to go back asleep.

she frowned at the pack and offerd the boy her hand. " im Sark... and if you want to come, you can travel with me and Xal." she smiled slightly, trying to sound appologetic. " im a traveling praformer.. so we would have to stop every now and again. its up to you."

He looked up at her, liking the idea, but froze when he heard another Lycan step closer. "It's not that simple. You'd have to talk to Avarice about that..." He closed his eyes, clenching his fist before looking up at Kirai and then at Xal. "I've...gotta go. Hope to see you again." He waved, before running into the crowd. Lycan's began filing in, grins on their faces.

Avarice awoke, looking around the room. Spotting Kirai asleep beside him, he smiled, wrapping his arm tightly around her.

Meanwhile, the last Lycan kicked Demitri in the wall. He'd shifted back into a pup when they began hurting him that way he wouldn't get too badly injured. He whined, just laying there. His eyes grew heavy and he soon feel into unconsciousness, the others snickering like a cruel lullaby as the blackness consumed him.

Demitri awoke later, lifting his head to look around. No one noticed he was awake. Slowly standing on all fours, he limped off into the shadows, whimpering. His fuzzy russet tail dragged behind him.

Kirai put her hand on Dr.Avarice's arm, then opened her eyes. Still a little tired, not realizing how long she slept.
