Everyone in the room stopped and stared. A silence rang through the air, and if you had hearing like the pack you could hear everything going on in the rooms around you.
"...So it was an emo kid?" Fuego smirked.
"Idiot, how many emo kids carry around swords?" Rai asked.
Everyone blinked and looked at Rai.
"What? Izeno isn't here to insult Fuego... Someone has to do it!"
"An emo samurai carries around a sword."
"He's not around to hear you Fuego," Kalm rolled his eyes.
"Well he is suppose to had died. How he cheated death, I have no clue. I kinda wish I knew his secret..." Fuego smirked. It was more for Sho than anything else. He worried about the pack a lot. He could tell he was stressed out with Rena around. It was always stressful with strangers around. And of coarse he had to imprint on someone. Sho would do anything to keep the pack happy, which was probably why that girl was right across the hall.
"You think it's Keith?" Kalm asked Sho.
"It has to be. Keith is the only one that knows how to catch Izeno," Sho sighed.
"But why is he alive and why is he after Izeno?"
"We'll have to find out that when we find Izeno. So we should get out there and look for him. Kalm you're with Rai, Komoro you're with me, Fuego you're with Rena. Make nice."
The look Sho shot Fuego when he said 'make nice' was enough to make Izeno curl up in a ball and whimper. Fuego sighed as the pack moved out. Of coarse he was stuck with Izeno's girlfriend... Well now that he was imprinted he got it. He would have killed anything that looked at her wrong.

Rena listened in confused silence. It wasn't until Fuego and herself where the only ones left in the room that she found her voice. Turning to him she spotted the wound and was washed over with guilt, temporarily losing the question she was about to ask and said instead. "Sorry bout that." her voice was small and she hung her head. She had the desire to lean into Izeno for comfort. The desire brought her mind back to the present. "So you know the guy?" she asked still not looking up.

Fuego rubbed the back of his head. "Nah, it's fine. It's already pretty much healed." Fuego pealed the bandage off his face to reveal a pinkish tissue, the only thing left from the scratch. "Dunno what I did to make you so pissed at me, but I'm not surprised I screwed something up." Fuego gave a nervous laugh. "It's just like to piss off someone Izeno is buddy buddy with." He blinked.
"Oh Keith? Yeah we know him. He was one of the only people outside the pack who would talk to us. He hung around with Izeno a lot. He was really the first person Izeno opened up to. Really he's never talked about his feelings or fears or what his dark side was like with the pack. Sure we know the feelings thing, that come with the territory. Keith was a friend to all of us..." Fuego shook his head. "But Keith and Izeno were like best friends. Izeno was crushed when he died. We could all feel it. Sure we were all sad, but... Izeno... I don't know if he ever recovered. He never does that... He doesn't deal with things or heal emotional. Everything just freezes over.."
Fuego sighed. "I'm surprised he take to anyone, actually. He doesn't like it when the ice melts. I think he liked having that someone to talk to."
The sky was a deep blue, similar to the ocean. Like the part of the ocean where you can't see the bottom, just a couple miles off shore. Sora was flying back to the hospital. She found Faven's window opened, and flew in. One of the nurses must have left it open for her... The lights were off, which probably meant it was bedtime. She curled up in one of the chairs. "Faven, are you awake?" Sora whispered.

Rena looked up at him, it made her feel better that he was healing quickly. "But if they where good friends then why would he kidnap Izeno?" she said questioningly as she rolled all the new information around in her head. "We can talk on the way, I want to find Izeno." she said suddenly heading for the window.
Faven had dozed off and was fast asleep when Sora came in. though he gave no response a smile crept across his face, his brain registering her voice.

Fuego figures the other were in their wolf form. He probably should be, too, but unless Rena spoke wolf, he wouldn't be able to talk to her. He jumped out the window, feeling a bit nervous about not having any way of communication with the pack. "They were friends. Keith thought we were insane for betraying Lenil. I mean Lenil brainwashes his experiments, so they're naturally loyal to him. When he betrayed us, left the pack alone to die, we said 'screw you, too'. But see, Keith didn't like that. He didn't care what Lenil did, we should be loyal to him."
Fuego paused for a second, lifting his nose to the air. Nope no sign of Izeno's scent. Of coarse Keith was a tracker. He knew how to find people as well as keep them hidden... "See besides being a tracker, that is being able to find almost anyone, his power is suggestion. He tells you to do something you want to do it. Weather you do it or not, depends on how strong your will is... So of coarse some of us caved." Fuego paused again, lifting his head up looking at the stars.
"Well... it's not as if we turned around and decided to follow Keith. Working with Sho, we couldn't leave. Once you form a pack with someone, you don't want to leave it. Besides where would we go? A bunch of human-wolves. And we weren't going crawling back to Lenil. Wolves usually have more dignity and pride then that.
I think it's rather funny, really. Lenil probably made us part wolf, because dogs are loyal, and dogs are descendants of wolves. Wolves are more powerful than dogs, so Lenil thought it was a good idea to have something powerful and fiercely loyal to him. Thing is we were loyal to the Alpha Male, that is, Sho. He's actually a good guy. Never gives Alpha Orders, Izeno was his first- Ah, sorry I'm rambling aren't I? You want to hear about Keith and Izeno..." He felt like sighing, besides not being able to communicate with the pack, it Keith was a tracker, and knew how to hide someone. "So anything else you want to know? Oh, one thing, can you speak wolf?"
Okay between Rena not being here and the Alpha Order, Izeno felt like he was dying. Okay this really sucked, even with his endurance and his high tolerance to pain.
"What's wrong Izeno? You look a little green around the gills," Keith smirked. "Missing your girlfriend?"
Izeno's front turned into a smirk. "Yes... And no. I was suppose to be at the hotel a couple of hours ago. Ya know sunset and all that." Izeno was twitching a bit.
"What? Sho did an Alpha Order?" The shock on Keith's face was obvious. And apparently they had been ready to do a sealing. Sealings needed to be preformed on the day/night border, which meant sunset. And the only thing that would be able to pull an imprinted wolf away from his imprintee was an Alpha Order, and even then it was shaky.
"Yeah, apparent your stupid behind and an Alpha Order are the only things that can drag me away from Rena apparently."
Keith had to laugh at that. "Just like old time ain't it?"
"I wish. I would say untie me and we could talk like old times, but between Rena and that Alpha Order..."
"Why did you leave?"
"You should have come with us. I've missed you. I don't have anyone to talk to. Well Rena, but worrying your mate just seems wrong." Izeno shook his head.
"You didn't answer my question."
"He left us in the middle of the wood to die! I think when someone doesn't care about you enough to retrieve you from a spot that's what, a couple miles from the Lab, it's time to go!" Izeno's voice rose with the anger that bubbled up from underneath layers of ice.
"I'm sure Lenil had a re-"
"Yeah! He found something better! I'm sure he made one huge loyal wolf with all of our powers and then some! We weren't people, we were objects! Apparently a beating heart doesn't count for anything anymore."
"Which is fine by you. What do you need it for anyway?"
"You know me all to well," Izeno's smirk returned to his face.
"You never change," Keith chuckled.
"I wouldn't bet on that. Throw Rena into the equation, and you have a pissed off wolf who doesn't particularly like the sound of love."
Keith laughed. "How I've missed you my friend."
"Like I said, you should have stayed with us."
Sho sighed. He was running around in his wolf form, not particularly noticeable in the night. He sniffed the air. There were still traces of Izeno from a couple of days before, were the killings took place. Only a wolves nose would be able to pick it up. Or in another case, a tracker. He wanted to howl, but it held back. If Keith was in the area he would hear. Keith knew that they were coming for Izeno, but he needed Keith to drop his guard. He was counting on Keith's overconfidence to get in his way. One little mistake would be all it took before one of the pack found the place.

Rena nodded, grimaced, and added uh-uh's in all the right places while she listened and put all the new info into place in her mind's equation. She smiled at him she had questions and so may it seemed like they might just start poring out her ears, but before she started asking she answered proudly. "As a matter of fact I can, as well as any other animal." Then an idea struck her. and she grinned. "So would this Keith guy be suspecting to be tracked using the animals that may have seen him pass?" she asked. She might be able to see Izeno, and get at Keith, sooner than she had thought.

"Really? That's great!" Fuego said, referring to the talking to animals thing. "...I don't know. He may not have taken that into account. He knows we're in towns because of Izeno, and he figures that we'll be wolf for most of the time, so he figures that we'll be using our sense of smell, mostly... Hold that thought. I'll be right back. Fuego ran behind one of the allyways and changed wolf, then ran back. "Sorry, the pack communicates by thought so I'm a little jumpy if everyone is in wolf form and I'm not. So are there many animals in the city?" Hey guys anything?
No... Sho's mind was in a fog of sadness. Losing one of the pack was hard on the Alpha. Sho was so close to all of them, they were like the children he had lost, and if he lost another one of them, he didn't know if he could handle it. It was hard enough knowing that Hunters hand been after Sora, and now that Izeno was gone... Plus he was worried about losing other members of the pack. Keith was no push over. He knew the pack could handle themselves, but he still worried about them.
He hoped Rena could handle herself. Izeno didn't need to lose her. It was hard enough losing someone when you were in love and hadn't imprinted on them. He couldn't imagine the pain of losing someone who was the only one for you. The one you could literally, not be without.
Izeno isn't hurt. That's a plus.
I want cookies.
Rai focus! Jeez... Nothing on our side of town... Izeno where are you?
"Well Izeno isn't hurt... No one has found anything, but at least he's not in pain."

"There are some, but shouldn't we be searching around the meadow where he disappeared?" She asked. Relieved to hear that he wasn't hurt or in pain. She had already been heading in the general direction not really looking for anything on the way. "There would be lots more animals out there anyways." she added.

Fuego stood still for a minute. "I guess we could try there. We don't have any other leads." Keith wasn't stupid enough to leave a shred of evidence behind, and he defintly hadn't made his hideout in the woods, but he was human... well as human as he'd ever be. He could have made a mistake.

Rena nodded "Alright I'll lead, if you want tell the others to meet us by the gate." She picked up her speed. "Or I guess they could just follow Izeno's sent to the meadow." she said as an after thought. She didn't like Keith and was happy to have thought of some way to track him that he wouldn't have thought of. Why would he have any reason to think he could be tracked though animals.

Fuego told the others where they were headed, and then followed Rena.
Sora had fallen alseep in Faven's hospital room, sprawled across the couple of chairs lined up. One of the nurses came in and covered Sora in a blanket.

Rena reached the meadow in no time. Then immediately began her search for animals to talk with. She remembered that an odd silence had been in the area when the incident occurred, but this didn't phase her in the least. She found a squirrel and quickly began chittering with it.
Faven woke a few hours after Sora had entered. It didn't take long to spot her sprawled out on the row of chairs. He smiled, and though he was curious how the rest of the group was doing, he let her sleep. He wondered why he hadn't seen the any member of the pack in a while.

Fuego followed Rena to the meadow and began sniffing around. Izeno's scent was still strong from when he was here earlier. It wasn't this strong around the meadow only inside it... Of coarse that was to be excepted. It wasn't like Keith would let Izeno's scent drift around outside the city. He noticed the squirrel looked a little nervous at the appearance of him, but continued to chatter away.

After a few minutes Rena nodded and the squirrel took off. Rena leapt into a tree and made her way though them to a large spruce, where she found a bird loading in a hole. At first the bird appeared frightened but as soon as Rena began speaking, in a cooing chirp the bird relaxed and began to twitter furiously. After about ten minutes with the bird, Rena thanked him and jumped from the trees. "I got good news," she smiled. "This will work. I have obtained the direction they went." She was excited and proud that this would work.

"That's great!" But how long would it last? There didn't seem to be many animals in the city. He shook the thought off. Even if they didn't find Izeno right away, he would probably escape. He wasn't a pushover.
Keith smiled. It was well after sunset, probably about Midnight. It was time. Keith picked up a wire looking type thing. "I'll miss you, old friend." Of coarse taking his Dark Side out could kill him, but Izeno was a fighter. He could survive. He stabbed it into the back of his head.
Izeno's eyes got wide when Keith said that. There was a funny feeling in the back of his head, and then the pain came. Really only was like a extremely bad head ache. Then there was a sharp pain in his stomach, the scent of his blood filled the room, and he screamed. He clenched his teeth, fighting back another scream. He lifted his head up trying to find out what was happening. It hurt just to breath. It felt like all the energy just jumped out of him. It was a chore just to lift his head. Keith had impaled Izeno with his sword.
"I really am sorry about this. You know your Dark Side loves the smell of blood."
Izeno heard a dark colored laugh. Some friend he was, huh?
All of a sudden Komoro felt like he was knocked off his feet. He rolled across the ground, whimpered. He stayed there for a couple of minutes and then slowly got up, shook off.
Sho whimpered, running over to Komoro. Izeno must be seriously hurt if it was that bad.
