An amused chuckle was her response to the question of them having a good time. She saw him gather up more ammo from the tubs holding the balloons just then. He wasn’t playing fair! There he had more than enough balloons for himself, yet she had none near by to try and retaliate. This slight would not go unpunished. But how to bypass him and get some for herself?
Ebony bent low behind the dune so David couldn’t see her from his position. It might have been the dumbest idea, but maybe it would work. She threw her sandals across to another dune in hopes of the man thinking she’d dove over to a new location. She remained quiet so as to help emphasis the move.

The Chinese man presented a soft grin himself as he waited for Ebony's next move. Focusing his piercing eyes on her sand dune, he waited patiently, wondering if the girl was brave enough to make a dash into the open just for a few watery bullets of her own. With his athletic build and quick mind, David knew he had the upper hand. Holding back a laugh when he watched sandals fly behind another sand dune, he decided to trick the little cat into coming out. He could only hold these water balloons for so long before they started to take in the heat from his palms. Pretending to rush over to the new hideout, at the last leap, David turned back to Ebony's original spot and towered over her, smiling devilishly, "Nice try Ebony, but--"
Crouching beside her, a wicked grin still plastered on his face, David lovingly placed a chilly water balloon on the girl's violet head and purred, "I'm not that easy of an opponent. Show me how well you can really use that sexy body of yours."
He raised the other hand and planted another icy kiss on her shoulder before rushing off.

‘Absolutely infuriating!’ That what Ebony had thought when the man didn’t fall for her ruse and embarrassingly placed a water balloon on her head. And then he had to proceed in kissing her again! On the shoulder yes, but still it was like he was treating her like a child or something. It took much concentration not to smash the thing in her hand when she’d reached up to remove the balloon.
With nothing but revenge in her mind, Ebony ran after the Asian in hopes of drenching him with the still cool projectile. She must not have been paying close attention to where she was headed because the woman yelped and fell, hot sand flying everywhere.

Limbo!
Melisande clapped for the next contestant, waiting again for her turn. The line had gotten shorter! Taking a deep breath, letting it all out, the Raevan bent carefully backward and tried her best to slip under the bar.
It was so low! Sure she felt it brush, Pasha squealed and squeezed her eyes shut, willing herself to go smoothly under. It was her last try! "Almost!"

.ll Limbo- Round 4 ll.
Josh examined the line as one person after another fell before the might of the limbo bar. So he would be next again. Josh readied himself as he began his decent under the wooden pole. His feet were evenly spaced, his back arched, and he began a slowly shuffle. Was it possible for a bar to get this low?! He sighed exasperatedly under the bar, it was only going to get lower though. ~~~~~ Josh's eyes narrowed as his chest barely missed tapping against the looming bar above. It was too close for comfort. However, once he was safely out of the bar's clutches, he could breath easier. Josh managed to see the young boy from the paintball contest. So he was in this event too? He made his way over and cooed to the young boy, "You did well in the last competition. Are you going to blow this one out of the water too, Little Guy?" His face curled into a tight smile. Josh gave a lighthearted chuckle that surfaced from airily from his throat. ((R1: 86 + R2: 9 + R3: 58 + R4: 65 = 218 ))

Kicking himself rapidly across the sand using his sprint-worthy legs, David finally took a look back to see how close or far Ebony was. He instinctively skidded slowly to a stop as he watched the heated girl trip in a hidden dip in the uneven ground. Jogging back to her, a free hand extended as a friendly offering, he laughed, "I know I'm a good catch and everything, Ebs, but I'm not worth hurting yourself over. Or are you that desperate in avoiding saying aloud that you're falling for me?"
David let out a hardy laugh, probably at his own corniness before gesturing her to take his hand, "Come on, take my hand."

Her head was down, tufts of violet draped across her face, hiding the irritated way she grinded her teeth then at his condescending question. Oh, he was sooo asking for this. Ebony took his hand silently, allowing him to help her up, and that was his ultimate mistake. “No…just that I knew you’d fall for this…” Flashing a devious grin towards the man, the female’s other hand suddenly smashed the water balloon over his head, those perfect black spikes now dripping wet.

Aphismet had been more than startled to see Rivener waiting for him on the sand, pacing back and forth as close to the waterline as he dared to get, clutching his camera. The Raevan had been antisocial and quiet ever since the Incident, always choosing to avoid Aphi and the other Delarans if he could... Something must have happened!
Aphi's brown eyes opened wide in worry and flicked over to the pie-eating tables. Isi was there, talking with Lil and another girl Aphi didn't know. He was fine. (Although, Aphi did note how popular his Brother suddenly was with the ladies, making sure to remember to tease him about it later.) The chef then sought out Eiry, seeing the minty frei loading up on Waterballoons, grinning in that way that made Aphi's shoulders sag. There was going to be trouble, but it wasn't what Rivener was here for, surely. Aphi then looked towards Chloe, finding her still asleep under the parasol. Everything looked fine there too.
Frowning, slightly confused, Aphismet walked back towards the shore, rubbing off the last of the paint with seawater. "Riv? What's the matter?"
"I, uh..." Rivener was glancing back and forth between his guardian and the lcd screen of his camera, which was showing the picture of Lucia. "I, uhm... I want to stay with you for a little while. Things are... Weird. I don't want it to be weird." The Scorpion frowned, looking as confused and mixed-up as Aphismet was.
"Wh-... Okaaayyyy," Aphi replied, heading for the parasol, careful not to flick any cold water on his ward. "What happened?"
"Uhm, none of your business," Rivener snapped without energy, half-frowning, turning the power off on his camera before Aphi could see what he'd been looking at.
The two reached their blanket and Aphi took up a towel, drying himself off, both man and Raevan sitting quietly afterwards for what seemed like ten minutes.
"...I signed up for Storytelling," Rivener suddenly piped up lamely, uncomfortable with the silence.
"That's ni-"
"And you shouldn't shoot girls with guns."
"Hunh?" Aphi glanced over, blinking, wondering where THIS came from.
Rivener just pretended he hadn't said anything and kept looking away from his guardian, picking up the inner tube he'd left here and waiting for the blue-haired woman to return for it.

Zave looked at the clock, and realized he didn't have much time left to get through the game. Thinking the low and flat mantra once again... he lined up and made his move....
And once again he seemed to clear the bar! It was almost as if his mantra actually worked like a charm. However, he didn't want to get too cocky. That's usually when things would take a turn for the worse. He still had to clear under the bar two more times.

.ll Limbo- Round 5 ll. Josh jumped as he noticed the time for the limbo event was ticking away. He spun on his heels back to the bar. He felt a pang of guilt for talking to Tyson then suddenly leaving the boy before he had a chance to get in another word. He would have to make it up to the kid later. Being rude didn’t sit well with Josh. He made his way over to the bar and quickly ducked under to take another turn. ~~~~~ Josh beamed once he made it to the other side. Just one more round to go. Josh saw that no other people were making a move towards the limbo line. In fact, the line seemed to have dissipated to almost nothing. Josh tense as the bar descended ever lower. So he would be going again. Josh passed under the bar. This was his last turn so he had to make it count! ~~~~~ ((R1: 86 + R2: 9 + R3: 58 + R4: 65 + R5: 35 + R6: 32 = 285 Done~ ))

Seeing that yet another person wrapped up and left the line, Zave willed himself to go once again.... trying to think as flat and low as possible. The bar lowered another good chunk towards the sand. Would he be able to make it through?
Clearing the bar with a good bit of room to spare, Zave prepped himself for his final round. He probably wouldn't win, but at least he could do his best and survive all six rounds, right? Hopefully. His pride was at stake.

Zave used the break in people to go ahead and take his last time. There was only so much mental preparation that could really be done after all. After he took a couple deep breaths, Zave thought to himself. Aim as to be as flat as a board and as low as possible. Flat and low... FLAT AND LOW... without realizing it, he was holding his breath once again. Floating forward, he went to hopefully clear the bar this last time.
Unfortunately, the heat and holding his breath did not do wonders for him. Zave blacked out. What became of the bar that fell on him, or anything else was a complete blur. All he remembered was being carried by some concerned participants to the shade of the bar. How embarrassing.

David flinched as beads of arctic water clung to his dark hair, some straying from the top of head down his neck like little rivers leading some place unknown. The wanderers made goosebumps rise up on the man's skin, though they were greatly protested against by David's overwhelming pride. Narrowing his eyes on the sly woman, watching an impish smile crawl onto her features, he juggled his own wiggling projectile thoughtfully, quickly searching for some kind of revenge. David's silvery eyes widened for a moment before allowing a smirk of his own to play on his lips.
"Oh Ebony," he sang innocently. "Bad things can happen when you trick a guy like me."
Tossing the balloon up a few feet in the air, David speedily threw his arms out and then tightly embraced the surprised woman, making sure the hug was extra snug, so that she couldn't pull any of her wildcat moves and slip away. Within seconds the watery missile came back down and exploded on top of their heads, David's small smirk now presented in a full out grin.
"See? Like stuff like that," he purred...still not letting go of her.

All the earlier anger and whatever worries she’d held back in her life then went up in smoke or rather in a fit of giggles. She clasped her sides, shaking greatly with her laughter. His face had been priceless and it was so worth all his smug comments and witty retorts from the day.
Ebony gasped when the man grabbed and pulled her close, her heart beat quickening its pace if only marginally. Had he not tossed the balloon she probably would have stayed fairly still due to her conflicting emotions and his luscious scent. But David had thrown it and now Ebony was wiggling like crazy to get out of his embrace. Though sounding angry as she shouted at him to let her go and pounding on his bare chest, small fits of laughter spilled through her smiling lips.
The balloon exploded on them and now she was drenched in water too. Trying to blow wet strands from her vision, “Well that wasn’t too smart. Now you’re twice as wet as you were before. Winning isn’t winning if you end up sacrificing yourself in the process, Darling.”
