"Oh hey there M.A." Mitsu said before quickly looking at her small desk and then into her bag. Phew, she had gotten the book stuffed in there right on time. She didn't feel like explaining it's contents or sharing her unusual ability anymore. It was something that most people didn't really understand or even knew she had. It was best to keep it to herself for the time being. "I've been wandering the city and eating after I had a battle earlier this morning," Mitsu explained to M.A. "You seemed to disappear too."

"Ah, yeah," M.A. laughed sheepishly. "Just sorta wandered out at noon, lied around, and had Yumi stumble on me. But wow, the beach party starts tomorrow! That sounds like so much fun," the girl continued, seating herself as she did so. Mary-Anne was positively sunny today; she'd been sluggish earlier, but with her already cheerful self given a java boost by Yumi's irrepressible energy, she was up and going.
"Wanna try surfing tomorrow morning? If you want to." M.A. paused for a moment, zoning out a bit. It went away in a second and she leaned back in her chair, just lightly watching her friend.

"Three!" Kilik barked, "Go for the knock out, Lairon!" he was fairly certain his prediction was going to come true. He didn't even bother watching the end of the battle. When the wind stopped swirling and the sand fell to the ground, coating the grass, he knew it was over. The boy removed the shirt from his face and took off his white coat. The yellow shirt beneath it was totally clean. He shook his head and brushed off his pants so he looked somewhat presentable. Kilik's eyes glanced up to the fight and a smile formed on his face.
Primeape was face down in the dirt. Rebecca's jaw was visibly twitching. Just like that, her Pokemon had lost. Both of them. Was she really that bad of a trainer? No way. She had the badges to prove her power. How could Kilik always be one step ahead of her? With a sigh, she recalled her ape and walked towards him. "Good match, Kilik. You were right," a smirk appeared on her lips, "Three moves. Next time, you won't be so lucky." With that she...hugged him and walked on towards Lilycove.
"You said that last time!" he laughed, calling back to her. When he saw her wave, he knew that was his cue to leave. In a flash, he recalled his Lairon and sent out Bahamut. The Flygon stretched her wings out and swished her tail about. It was nice to be out in the sunshine. "Nyanu?" she tilted her head and leaned down to press her cold scaly nose against Kilik's cheek. "You ready?" he pet the Pokemon's snout and walked around to hop onto her back. "Let's fly to Slateport!" he said, tapping his heels against her sides. She shot up into the air (she felt Kilik grab around her neck tightly) and flew off towards the southwest. Her big wings flapped with a loud 'woosh' every time. Kilik rested against his big dragon and closed his eyes.

"I hope it's fun. I'm looking forwards to seeing everyone again. It feels like it's been ages since I last saw them," Mitsu said placing a smile on her face. It wasn't that long since she had talked to her friends or seen them, but it sure felt like it had been weeks, maybe even months. Their last big fesitval was the Cherry Blossom Fesitval in Cherrygrove, Jhoto. Mitsu smiled lightly remembering her little kiss on the cheek to Mike. That was all history now though since he was now with that fiery gym leader. And there was the whole Rocket mess that practically ruined it at the end. I hope there's no more drama. Though knowing the Rockets they are going to crash it again. Or maybe Team Magma. Or team Aqua. Or with my luck it'll be all three!
"Surfing? It sounds like fun. I live on an island and I've never given that a try before," Mitsu laughed. Mossdeep was definately an island, though it's waves were more vicious than here in Slateport and storms were more frequent so surfing most of the time wasn't quite an option. Despite the hazardous weather there were a few hardcore surfers who came by every once in a while. The kids of the city would make rumors and such about people dieing or getting smashed into the cliffs side by the storms. Then again, it's what she had heard and it was probably a lie since all the kids were so horrednously mean to her as a kid. "I'd love to try though!" Mitsu said again with a light smile.

Her cool scales felt nice against his face. Kilik wanted to imagine what he looked like asleep on his Flygon. He could feel his hair whipping about slowly in the wind, along with his somewhat loose shirt. The boy's hand dangled down, occasionally skimming through a low flying cloud. His fingers twitched a few times. A peaceful smile rested on his lips. Though, once more, the part of his mind that worried was starting to kick in. If Giovanni shows up at Rowan's speech...that would spell trouble for all of us. he thought, Team Rocket's done enough damage around Kanto and Johto. There's no need for Hoenn to fell their wrath, too. He woke up and sat back up.
"My home region has felt enough damage..." he closed his eyes and thought back two years ago. Verdanturf had never been so hot. The sun would beat down on everyone then suddenly rain would come out of no where. With every rain drop, steam would erupt from the ground where it landed. He was thirteen then. "Dad almost moved us away from Hoenn during that. Being so learned in the legends through college, he knew exactly what could have happened." He ran a hand along Flygon's neck, "But why am I telling you this? You probably weren't even a Trapinch yet." He laughed a bit. I just know Hoenn isn't up to handling a THIRD evil organization.
She purred quietly at the pets. Something was troubling her trainer, that was for sure. However, she knew (in the short time she had spent with him) that Kilik would find a way to get over it. Bahamut knew he was a strong person both inside and out. The strive to make things better for a brighter tomorrow reminded her a lot of her old trainer, Dante. Her tail whipped about excitedly once more as they flew over Mauville.

Crenu sighed as he entered the center, it was getting quite hot. He hated the idea of leaving his favorite coat behind, but he didn't see any way around it. The first thing he did was drop his pokemon off with Nurse Joy, they had rested plenty since their battle at Mt. Mortar and Larvitar didn't battle at all, but he figured it would be better to have them in top shape anyway just in case of a battle situation. All that was left to do now was wait and see if M.A. was hanging around in the center. He didn't have to look far, for he noticed her sitting with another girl, leaning back in her chair. His first instinct was to call out, but that wasn't his style. Plus the last time they spoke it wasn't on a good note and he had had a battle with Ky as a result. So insteasd he just quietly made his way over to them and spoke softly. "You sorta just dissapeared, we wondered where you might have gone." He said with a stoic expression, but he grinned a little at the end.

"Sounds good to me," Keegan nodded, shaking Mike's hand and grinning. While it was true that he'd only seen Mike battle a few times, but he'd heard a lot more about him from Kasiya than he probably knew. Keegan looked up over his shoulder at his parents, feeling a little relieved that neither of them seemed to be paying attention to him or Mike. They were both quite immersed in the battle, his mom pointing at something and talking in hushed whispers. Quite suddenly, his father turned his head and made direct eye contact with his son, narrowing his eyes. Keegan gulped and turned away, pretending like nothing had happened. As his gaze came to rest back on the battle, he was a little surprised to find that both Pokemon had changed. Kasiya now had Adamantine on the field while Flannery had Camerupt. Okay, when did that happen? he mused silently, picking Helios up from the ground. The Vulpix climbed up onto his trainer's shoulder with practiced ease, seemingly happy that he had a good view of everything. Keegan sighed again looked quickly at Mike, trying to recall which Pokemon he had with him. Well, he obviously has Nitro and the Magby with him, and I remember he had a Typhlosion too. There was the mind-reading Breloom and the wonky Ampharos... but other than that, I have no clue... He might not even have the same Pokemon with him this time... Keegan leaned back in his seat again, wondering if Mike knew what Pokemon he had, other than Helios. This should be interesting... Even if we lose, I hope we can at least prove to him that we're not a bunch of pushovers. ===== "Not bad," Roxanne smiled, drumming her fingertips on her side. Aron shot up from the ground, near the rock Combusken had been standing on, only to get a blast of fire pretty much directly head-on. For the first time the small Pokemon cried out, staggering back. Some of the metal plating on its body was charred and blackened, signaling a burn. Roxanne sighed, looking at the fighting type. "Okay Aron, attack with Headbutt!" the gym leader called.
Giving a little screech, the small Pokemon charged forward again, lowering its head as it prepared to attack. It knew full well that Combusken was up on the rock, but it wasn't the Pokemon it was targeting. The little Aron charged full-power into the rock Combusken was perched on.

"Haha, awesome," the girl blithely said. She didn't know a thing about surfing... But she was willing to learn! It looked like such a thrill. Didn't know if Daemyn would like the water, though.
Upon hearing someone's quiet voice just right beside her, M.A. sat up sharply in surprise, whirling the wrong way before casting eyes on a ... slightly smiling Crenu? Wah, Crenu? "Oh, hi," she said, dazed a little. Oh, he was there alright. Not her imagination playing tricks on her like it did sometimes. "Sorry, I was hoping the Daycare people told you both where I went... Where's Ky?" She couldn't read his expression too well, but it didn't seem malevolent.

Ada could do nothing but close her eyes as the Flamethrower converged on her, although she was surprised to find it didn't hurt nearly as much as she thought it would. The Rock part of her typing made her resistant to fiery attacks in general, and she opened her eyes as the attack died down, waiting for Kasiya to order another strike.
"Okay Ada, get him!" Kasiya cried, pumping a fist into the air. "Bite attack, go!" Giving a growl, Ada did just that, jumping up onto Camerupt and trying to sink her sharp teeth into any part of the large Pokemon she could find. Kasiya could see Keegan's parents out of the corner of her eye, and she secretly hoped she was impressing them. Whatever for, she didn't know, but something told her that more than a Heat Badge was at stake here.
Flannery took a step back, a little surprised that her Pokemon's flame attack hadn't been as effective as she hoped, but also at the Larvitar and how it had just flung itself recklessly at Camerupt. Camerupt was surprised as well, not really being able to piece together what happened until he felt Ada's sharp teeth finding their way into the back of his neck. And shoulder. He roared in pain, stomping his feet and shaking to try to knock the small Pokemon loose.
"Camerupt, shake it off!" Flannery cried, hands balled up into fists. "Blast the little runt with your Overheat!" Camerupt stopped moving then and closed his eyes. The mini-volcanoes on his back began to smolder and spew out little bits of embers before erupting full-force with a ball of fire. Flannery watched the attack go off, smiling as the reddish-orange flames reflected in her eyes.
=-=-=-=-= Combusken had little time to react as the Aron then bashed into her rock, practically exploding it on impact and sending bits of rock flying everywhere, Combusken included. She landed a god five feet from where the rock once stood but not all to gracefully; flat on her back and skidding to a halt. Growling, she pulled herself to her feet, glaring angrily at the small iron-clad Pokemon in front of her. Without waiting for a command from Jaeshan, she dashed forward, spinning gracefully as she neared her target, aiming a Double Kick for the thing's head.

Mitsu laughed as well, "I'm sure it'll be fun. Especially if your friend knows how to surf." She sat back in her chair, relaxing a bit. Tomorrow was going to be a fun day, hopefully better than the rest of today. It was a fairly uneventful day so far.
Mitsu eyed the newcomer. She hadn't met him before, but something felt off. She didn't really like it. He hadn't even greeted her either, how rude! Mitsu shifted a bit in her seat and used her left foot to scoot her bag under the table some more. If he caught the little motion it might have stirred some suspicion, but suspicion was better than him finding her book.

"Guess that would explain it, I never actually saw them after the battle. Sorta just up and left, told Ky to go on ahead while I took care of some stuff." Looking around and seeing a lack of Ky he sighed. "Guess he hasn't gotten here yet." Still standing he tried to smile a little warmer, but it felt odd and so he reverted back to his half grin. "So what happened to you? Been up to no good?" He joked, which also felt a little odd.

The Combusken had recovered a lot quicker than both Roxanne and Aron had expected, and it wasn't until Aron received the crushing blow to its skull that it even realized what had happened. It backpedaled quickly but could no longer remain upright, and it fell to the ground with a loud thud.
Roxanne only chuckled as she held up the sphere that would recall her Aron. "Nailed its double weakness," she said with a nod. "This is it though. Get through my last Pokemon and the badge is yours. Go, Nosepass! It's your turn!" The strange Pokemon materialized on the battlefield, swinging its arms up and down in a somewhat amused manner. "Now Nosepass, attack with Thunderbolt!"
The Compass Pokemon began to spin rapidly, generating a current of electricity that was then fired towards Combusken. Even though she was down to her last Pokemon, Roxanne did not seem worried.

It wasn't untill not that Crenu had fully noticed the person M.A. was sitting with. He couldn't help but noticed the way she looked at him, which made him a little uneasy. "My appologies, the name is Crenu. I hope I haven't interupted your conversation." He bowed his head slightly, his expression never changing other than the small grin which had now disappeared.

While on the train Robin took the time to call her mother and tell her that she would be arriving in Goldenrod soon and spent the rest of the time talking to the woman next to her. Over all it was a pleasant trip and Robin was a bit disappointed when it ended, though she was happy she was going to see her mother again. Gathering up her pokemon Robin let Luffy rest on her shoulder and Razputin seemed to want to fly around some so he hovered next to her. Waving goodbye they stepped out of the train and scanned the small crowd until she found a familar head. Waving her hand up a smile on her face she waved to her mother.
Robin's mother was a secretary to some business, Robin wasn't sure exactly who it was. Her own red hair, a bit duller then Robin's do to her age, was tied back into a bun and she was wearing a smart looking skirt and shirt that was part of her uniform for work. She had a smile on her face as she greeted her only child with a hug. "It's good to see you again Robin. I hope you have had a great journey so far. You must tell me about it while you are here."
Smiling up at her mother, Robin's mother was close to 6 feet in hight, she couldn't help the tears that formed in her eyes. Sure she had wanted to go on this trip with all her heart but that didn't really matter much to her when she saw her mother after just a few short days. "It's good to see you two Mom. Maybe I should come back more often?"
Her mother just laughed slightly at her daughter as she reached up and patted her head. "Now now, everyone must leave eventually, though I wouldn't mind if you showed up more." Turning her gaze to Luffy the woman smiled at the cute little Aipom. "Have you been taking care of my daughter Luffy?" She asked. Luffy just grinned and chatter slightly giving the woman who feed him for most of his life a nod.
"Oh yeah! I need to introduce you to my newest team member!" Robin exclaimed. Stepping to the side to reveal a happy looking Razputin. The small Yanma buzzed up closer to Robin's mom and looked at her through large goggle like eyes. "This is Razputin mom! He's a Yanma. I won third place in the Bug Catching Contest with him."
Paling a little the taller woman just gave a nervous laugh, she wasn't to fond of bugs, her husband liked them not her. "Thats wonderful dear. I hope you take good care of my daughter Razputin." She glanced over at Robin for a second. "Though for the love of me I can't figure out why you named him after that crazy Russian man."
Frowning for a second Robin tried to figure out what her mother was talking about before slapping herself on the forehead. "Oh! No! I didn't name him after him. I named him after Razputin from that Psychonauts game!" Man did she feel embarrassed now!

"Nice to meet you. I'm Mitsu," she said with a small nod. "And you haven't." She could tell that she had made him feel uneasy and oddly enough she didn't quite care all that much. She smiled lightly more for his benefit that her before continuing, "I see you two know each other." She shifted in her seat a little to get more comfortable. She had to admit, the conversation was a bit odd. He seemed so stotic and like the type that wasn't quite the chatterbox.
