Charles' eyes went wide upon hearing what had happened. There was a dangerous animal in the house already when he had just bluffed his way into talking to her for so long, he was amazed that such a random guess landed so near the truth. His eye twitched with nervousness that he'd gotten it right and creeped out by it, but the onlookers would see it as 'Oh no, a dangerous animal!' Too clever, he was.

His eyebrow raised when he heard 'for the most part.' "Well either way, I've got to inspect in order to confirm that and give an attestment to the safety of the public. If things go bad, I can even say that she was safely eliminated..." He spoke as if to flirt. He himself couldn't tell if he was or not, but the generous offer was laid out for her. At least he made it seem that way. He made sure to come off as the mature high-schooler/college student who had authority, a bit of age, and experience. Really, he was an adult, but never looked like it.

"Well, it may be true that I'm just a concerned citizen, but I'm also a respected one, so they would take my word for it for the most part. I just need to see that she is no real harm at all to us. You must ask the master of this house to permit me to do so, or I cannot do it. You would be helping the public a great deal. If not, I suppose I would have to call the police."

"It's a he first off, and second, He's not here. I'm helping take care of his girlfriend. She broke her leg and needs help getting around. She should also be sleeping at the moment. I can go with you to the police, or you can come back later." She kept her tone calm, but level, almost matching his.

Tori's eyes narrowed.
"Who are you, again?" she asked. "Doc said something about a kid." her mouth went into a fine line. "Go home, kid. I doubt you have the pull in the community, what community there is, to do anything or have any reason to do such things. Our pet is perfectly legal. Go home."

Cat ran her hand through her hair. She wondered why Tori was so upset, other then the Doc being killed she chalked it up to her being tired or in pain. "Tori why don't you go back inside and rest your leg. I'll walk down and explain the situation to the police. I"m pretty persuasive myself you know." she grinned and winked.

Cat raised a brow. "Believe me when I say I know plenty of guys on the force." She stretched her hands behind her head. "Besides, this way I can say I tried and see for myself whats going on." She turned to Tori. "Keep an eye on Seigi for me, I'll go home and get the papers then head to the station." She turned to Charles. "You can come with me, I'll even let you say I told you so if I"m wrong." She started walking.

"No!" He called. He stopped. "I...I'll...hold on..." He pulled out a cell phone. "Like I said...I'm really quite a lonely person...I've been away from home for what seems like forever. I'd give nearly anything if you'd let me in...It would make me quite happy...If you do this for me, I shall call up my contact for the community, and tell him right now that there's nothing to worry about, then you won't have anything more to worry about with that." He clicked in the numbers while talking, and upon finishing he held it up near his ear, silent for a second or two, and then clearly pressed the call button. It would ring soon. His sad eyes showed vulnerability, unlike a true leader, and at the same time, showed his seriousness to do so. Gosh, he was a great actor. Years upon years of practice, this was: It was undetectable.
