What other books do you like? And those others aren't Redwall books. Wind In The Willows is an old one, about Mr.s' Toad, Badger, Mole and Rat. Watership Down is about rabbits, and The Wild Road is about cats, among other animals...

I actually heard Watership Down on book-on-tape on a long family trip one summer. That is a great book! I never read Wind in the Willows, but I saw the old cartoon movie ^_^ I know we have the book around here some where. *looks around for the book* The other book I havce never heard of. It's about cats?

It's a very interesting book, and yes, it's about cats. It's called The Wild Road, and then there's The Golden Cat, which comes after it. It has a lot of folk lore about cats in it. It's written by Gabriel King. The back cover says: Secure in a world of privilege and comfort, the kitten Tag is happy as a pampered house pet - until the dreams come. Dreams that pour into his safe, snug world from the wise old cat Majicou:hazy images of travel along the magical highways of the animals, of a mission, and of a terrible responsibility that will fall on young Tag. Armed with the cryptic message that he must bring the King and Queen of cats to Tintagel before the spring equinox, Tag ventures outside. Meanwhile, an evil human known only as the Alchemist doggedly hunts the Queen for his own ghastly ends. And if the Alchemist captures her, the world will never be safe again...

Did you listen to the audio drama or the unabridged version of Watership? I hadn't read WITW until a year or so ago (and I'm 20)

Sounds good! I love cats and books that involve them. I read a really good series called The Gatti's Tale. It is also about cats, but they have a way to canect with humans though thier minds. It's really good though there are a few parts in the book that are pg13. Though they are not children's books. I found them in the adult fantisy/si fie section.

My favorite talking animal book is Maus and Maus II. They are basically strip comics about the jews during WWII, where the jews are mice, and the nazi's are cats. They're excellent books.

Never heard of those, I might have to check them out after I finish with the Redwall books (it shouldn't take me too long on those, I can read a book a day if I'm in the mood... more then that's bad for my mental health smile ) I'm also rereading LOTR, I'm in the last third of the book, so it shouldn't take me too long on that one, either, though I've been taking it slowly, only a little at a time... Have you read The Enchanted Forest Chronicles? It's a series of four books, the first one is Dealing with Dragons. They are really funny.

When it comes to books on tape, I'm very picky. I don't like audio dramas (they mess with the wording and such... yeah, I'm a purest) And the person who's reading it has to have a good voice, and I don't like them singing (my cousin lent me a book on tape once, and the person sang the songs, and it sounded horrid. The book was LOTR, and he tried to sing the elvish songs! He sounded like a frog... it was horrible...) Also, I don't like abridgments (again, I'm a purest)

And Americans are dogs, which I found rather amusing. I am now a dog. ^_^ oh and then there are the pigs which were the Polish I think. But I'm not sure.

You read Robert Jordan? I've read almost all those books, except I think the last one that came out (though I did read the one about when Rand was born, that was really funny! I've kinda stopped reading them, though. They're kinda getting annoying. How far are you?
