'oh crap that sounded weird...of course he plays an instrument, he wouldnt be allowed in the band hall if he wasn't IN band! gawd im so stupid!' "Oh, thats cool, I play the flute. Flute people look weird, but in reality, we're not actually." She pulls one of the chairs over and sits down in it, since the buses take so long to load, the after school bell doesnt ring for 20 minutes, so she figures she could stay and talk.

"Oh I see, but like, how are you sure what note you're on, like when the slide is in a certain position? gawd that looks hard. haha, the flute is pretty much like every other wind instrument, you push down keys and then voila!" she laughs a bit then puts her flute together to show him.

"Yea i know what ya mean..we just have to remember the generalization of where the slide belongs..like for that middle C we have to put it to about 3rd which is there the part we grab is linded up with our bell..except 5th..thats no mans land..we have to just guess and check on that one :/"'oh god im probaly making her wanna leave right now :/'

"haha, I see.. I feel kind of left out, pretty much every instrument in band has a bell except for flutes, and percussion... pfft. haha just kidding." she messes around and plays some random song from her 6th grade concert 4 years ago 'gawd, this guy is awesome...I hope we get to hang out later..'

"Wow, I didnt know they had buttoned ones.. Oh.. I'm in 9th grade, what are you in? And I don't really know what to expect of high school marching band, I've heard nasty stories of what happens on the charter buses.." she kind of gags a bit.
