i have a question about drum majors...
i was wondering why we need drum majors? in jazz band you shouldn't have someone conducting for you, in indoor drumline we don't have anyone conducting, you go off the snare's. so why does mb need a drum major, especially since half the band doesn't even look at them, some are just dressing & covering, some look at the ground, some people even have their eyes closed. so why do we need a drum major, i have nothing against them, i love mine, i just want to know why we need them
or why some musical groups have a conductor & others don't
