Ryu brought his sword down quickly to his mid section even though he had been taken by the feint. His foot moved behind him as he side stepped to avoid. There was more an emphasis on foot work, which was a funny thing for a mer like him. One more step back as he moved to her side to strike out at her shoulder.

Aliya's blade was already moving upwards quickly, so blocking the shoulder attack was easy for her. She was speaking to Elberon at the same time, telling him to stop asking questions (she was getting irritated), and as she did so she took advantage of the fact that she had just knocked Ryu's sword slightly to the side and stepped in close in an attempt to elbow him in the stomach.

"Elberon!" Elros shouted as they approached, trying to get the man's attention.

Lin waved back, "Did you already warm up?" she asked her sister.

Even though she already knew the answer to that, they wouldn't have begun unless they warmed up. True, it can't be helped to go into a fight cold, but if one could help it they didn't, especially in something like a spar.

Ryu paused his attack backing up and falling into at ease stance with his sword pointed to the ground. He just had to look at Feng to see who it was that was coming their way.

Which was understandable since the way Feng waved looked like she was trying to flag down a ship.

Aliya giggled at Feng's antics.

"I see," Elberon grinned brightly. "Well then come on and join us! We're just sort of relaxing a bit - or rather, Feng and I are while Aliya and Ryu are sparring. Come on, come on."

Elros set Lin on the ground and straightened slowly.

"I have to report to Lord Elrohir now," he told Elberon seriously, "so you had better take good care of the little one. Don't let anything happen to her. I shall return shortly."

And he turned on his heel and headed for the house.

Lin giggled as she gave a small wave to Elros before looking back at the two before her, "Yes I have," she smiled again.

She pattered over to Elberon and tugged on his pant leg gently before holding her arms up to be held. Since Feng had her hands full already.

Ryu brought up his sword again now that it looked like they were going to resume the spar. Which was just as well for him, he needed to focus and actually spar with someone he hadn't before. Back home he had sparred with family and people from the Ito clan at least once.

Aliya picked up her sword again and held it up close to her body, then stepped forward and swung it at Ryu from the side.


"A busy day indeed," Elberon smiled. "But tell me - who is this Serenity that you speak of? I haven't met her, is she another of your siblings?"
