But, this was a different shot. He watched as the ball left the hand of the older boy and it was just one of those shots that were...well, spectacular. His eyes widened a bit. He tried to intercept the quaffle's path, but it would take a wonder save for him to get to it, that was for sure.
The quaffle sizzled past him with some heat behind it. He still was in disbelief at the shot, but he couldn't remain that way for too long. He raced down to get the quaffle, disappointed at himself for not making a better save attempt at it. He had to do better. Lionel threw the quaffle to Ryder in hopes that it would get to her.
