You use a Mac? BOOOOOOO
lol, dA /really/ isn't the most brilliant art community on the Internet. Though that's not really a problem if you don't take it too seriously.

I do! And I love it.
Nah, most art communities have good sides and bad sides. I'm used to dA and the people I follow are worthy of it. There's a lot of crap, though.

It's sad, though, that the only things that really get popular there are animu and mango. Not that I don't mind that particular style, but that seems to be the only thing there is on that site sometimes. lol
That and the "it's not pornography, it's photography!" when it's pretty clearly pornography.

I think everyone's work starts out as crap. There's a few out there that are born geniuses in the art field, but I'm not one of them. I've got firefox, but gives me problems there too. I'm thinking I'll find some reviews of Chrome and see how compatible DA is on it.
It's what's popular. Can't avoid that. I'll look at book inspired work and animals, like dragons or ferrets, but I still look for Loveless and Cardcaptor Sakura more often then not.

@Citrine: Yup, you need to dig pretty deep to find anything different that is still nice. And yes, it's like an underground porn site. But it all depends on what you look for :3 I am currently almost only enjoying realistic digital art.
@X: I agree 100%. When I look back on things I drew before I began studying art, I am astounded by how crappy I was. Makes me happy that I've improved. Many people I know use Chrome, and they're pretty content.

......Let's talk Internet! We've got Tier 1/2 bills in the works, while lawmakers want to charge those who buy stuff from other states, as it's tax free to do so right now.
I'm not supporting either. If someone can bring on suicide on the other side of the country and not even get charged for it, I'm not paying more for my internet access.

Ompalumpa's used to scare me. Then I adored the songs and found the new models didn't live up to the same standards as the old ones. T.T

Willie Wonka used to scare me as a child, in general. I thought it was a giant death trap for children, since the movie never showed them walking out alive. D:
