when Twi had gotten the last of them into his Mansion he headed to his private quarters and tried to relax. the sound of the gunshot rang in his memory and replayed over and over. his mind wandered, imagining all the possible outcomes of the gunshot. who it was fired by, who it hit or missed, what happened next...
he collapsed on his bed, and with tears stinging his eyes he began thrashing and punching his pillows.

Mandi lay unconscious on a gurney as she was transported behind double doors. A doctor stepped out and stopped Skotti, "I'm sorry. Your wife is showing signs of organ damage from the gun shot wound she suffered. She must be sent into surgery immediately to remove the bullet and repair anything we can. It will be a few hours before we know anything. We will let you know. "

Charlotte felt it before she noticed, the ground felt the landmarks that she remembered dash past not to long ago. Yet it was the gentle ting in her gut that told her that she was nearing her destination. The rustling on either side told her that her arrival had not gone unnoticed. Not that it matter, her arrival only heralded their deaths. Though sadly not at her hands, "Well *pant* darlings were here *pant* Handles these annoyances while I just jump in here."
'In here' was a fracture in the surface of the forest floor. A large crack, that while seemed out of place was likely the result of some foolish spell caster or battling demigods. Taking a large leap, Charlotte curled up form disappeared through the fracture into it's dark depths as she curled up to avoid the sudden daggers that flew at her across the fracture. The vampire who through them broke from the trees followed by others. All of them ignored Charlotte and opted instead to jump the fracture and confront the others.

Skotti looked down at mandi with worry and back at the doctor and nodded "Okay" he said as she was taken away from him.

"'Here?' Nari asked a bit confused. All she saw was more trees and shrubbery. "Where did she hide the-- AUGH!!" she was about to turn her back toward the gang and ask; however, a leaping vampire immediately cut that question short. Ducking and rolling out the vampire's way, she reached into her bosom and pulled out her contraption, making sure her heart hadn't leaped out of her chest thanks to the surprise attack as well. While still crouched into a lunge, she pushed a small switch on the cylinder. Immediately, it lengthened to a 6' rod with a sharp claw-like extension. She bolted up, stabbed that vampire with the rod and pushed the switch up another notch. This sent volts of electricity directly into the vampire's body. With some pleasure, she smiled and watched him writhe and melt from the inside. "This is payback..." she mumbled. And when he was nothing but a corpse, she yanked her rod out of him and looked for her next victim.
((Note: The rod has special non-conducting material inside to only allow the claw to get juice. Otherwise, she'd obviously get shocked as well, holding the darn thing and all. xP Just felt like putting that disclaimer.))

Koji had been just as thrown off as Nari when their new companion stopped. Before he could ask, she was gone already, and they were under attack. Koji readied a few throwing knives but was tackled to the ground before he could throw any. He managed to stab at his attacker with the ones still in his hand in order to get him off. It didn't do critical damage, but was enough to cause the vampire to draw back a bit. With the time he gained, Koji rolled to the side and uncoiled his whip. The vampire lunged again and Koji thrust his whip in his way, coiling it around his attackers neck as he dodged. Using his momentum against him, Koji made a strong pull in the opposite direction of the vampire's lunge until the metal whip released his head from his body. The sharpened edge of the whip sliced his cheek slightly on the recoil and he cursed under his breath. "Guess I wasn't training for long enough."

Casting a quick glance sideways, she noticed Koji's victim's head roll to the ground and grinned bigger. "Do that again!" she yelled to Koji and started chuckling. Another vampire tried to take advantage of the moment when she turned to tackle her, but she saw him through her peripheral and thrust her staff into him like the first. The same thing happened to that one, and Nari couldn't help but to enjoy his cries of pain. "This is too fun~ I now have a favorite gadget!" she said to no one in particular. To say she was thirsty for revenge was a bit of an understatement at the moment.

After Mandi had been in surgery a while, a dark elf clad in scrubs emerged from the double doors and approached Skotti.
"Mr.Gallows. Your wife is in recovery now. She lost a lot of blood, and required a transfusion. The bullet grzed her liver, which is an extremely vascular area, and would explain the blood loss. We take all liver wounds seriously, as they usually end in death for the patient. She is lucky to have made it off the operating table, frankly. Fate is on her side for some reason or another. If you like, I could have a nurse escort you to see her now. She's not likely to wake up for a while yet, but you can be by her side when she does, if you'd like."
The doctor motioned toward the door.

Skotti nodded and followed the doctor in. After entering the room, skotti looked at his damaged wife. "Looks like god wanted to keep you with me, love" he said with tears in his eyes. "even with the scares you are still the most beautiful woman I could hope for" he said, sitting in one of the chairs.

Landing in a crouch, Charlotte surveyed her surroundings. They were grim, narrow, and dimly light from the crack above. In other words they were perfect surroundings. Straightening she continued to be wary, just because she had lead a nicely armed distraction to this location didn't mean that a vampire couldn't slip away from the melee. With that in mind, she made her way along though now she lead by more than just her necklace charm. Memory got her to the very edge of ledge. To those above, the fracture looked nothing more than a simple rupture in the ground. Below the surface it was clear that the crack ran down, with various ledges. Leaping, Charlotte caught one of the the few tree roots that grew out into the fracture. Flipping she caught the next one further down, only to drop on the next ledge. Dusting off her hand, she smiled as her charm and her memory told her that her daggers were up ahead.
"Ah, there are you darlings..." she muttered as she walked closer towards a still figure on the ground, her two gem hilted daggers sticking out, "Thanks for caring for them and trying to keep them warm. It was a nice effort, but futile." She pulled them free of the elf's form and slipped them back into her wrist holder after wiping them off on body. That done, she pulled the silver case over to her, with a flick she had it opened. Quickly, since she didn't want to take more time down her than need, she pulled her own files from out of her shirt and stuck them in among those in the case. Then she pulled the dead elf's files out and placed them on top of his body. Closing the case, she straightened and taking it with her.
"Well, old chap, I'm sorry to have to take off like this, but I can't possible stay much longer..." she muttered as she flicked a fire charm on to the body. She walked away, considering how she was going to get up the body was set a flame. None above would see the flames, just as none had know the body was down here and none, but one knew that poor Jacob Wulfer had been sent out from Kuro's home base at all. Her sister would make sure it stayed that way. Charlotte would have been in good spirits, if only she didn't have to climb her way out this ditch.

Twi composed himself after a long tantrum, and applied some make-up to mask his puffy eyes and scratches. he walked out of his room and solemnly rejoined the few people who were in his meeting room.
he was nervous about any of his decorations or possessions giviing away his secret agenda, but mostly he was worried about the condition of the wounded. Ambrosia was clearly furious, but she was composed, polite and graceful, as was her way when in another's home.
"I owe you thanks for allowing us to use your home as an emergency base, Valthier." she said to him in a reserved tone as she rose from her seat. she had been sipping tea.
"think nothing of it; we all do our part in times of trouble."
"quite. you are a man of remarkable character. this act won't be forgotten, nor will your modesty and honour."
Twi didn't know what to say. he stifled a gulp as best he could, but the idea of being complimented on his honour during a time his sense of honour was most in question made him uncomfortable.
"are you alright? you look nervous." Ambrosia inquired, with a sliight smile of satisfaction on her face.
"yes, I'm fine. just fatigued from all this tragedy and fighting; it's been a long day. thankyou, I'm flattered."
she simply twiitched an eyebrow and the corner of her lip both upward for a split second, and turned to sit back down. Twi excused himself and headed back out his door, taking the woodland destination to the forest west of Durem, halfway between Durem and the Von Helson Manor. he needed a walk, and to visit someone who might understand.

One very short game of cat and mouse later, Sabe was balled up on the couch in Luciano's room. His face still had a tinge of pink in it. He tried to not think too hard about anything should it upset him even more.

(( Going to speed this up a bit. )) Before Luciano knew it, Charlotte was gone and the group was fighting off more Vampires. At this point he was infuriated because he was assuming she had lead them into a trap.
Luciano popped off a few of his UV rounds into the heads of a few Vampires, then kicked them off to the side as he would slaughter more.
Once all of the Vampires were killed, Luciano looked around for Charlotte, "If that b***h lead us into a trap, I'll shoot her myself. . ." He thought. Meanwhile,Johnny wasn't too far away from poor Sabe. Talking at this point was out of the question, as the man was obviously traumatized. But Johnny said to him anyway, "I will take this up with your leader when he gets home. . Don't worry."

A nail salon was so in her future, that and a good massage. 'In fact' Charlotte thought as she swung the case up onto the ground, 'I need a full spa day... preferable free." The came landed some distance away with a thug and with a good heave upward her body followed after ward. For a moment she didn't move, not caring a bit if the team had fail to finish the vampires or if she was about to be run through. Though the notion didn't sit very well with her.
Taking in a deep breath, she pushed herself up and then sprang to her feet. Snatching up the case, she peered around for the others. Spotting the others not too far off, she trotted up to them her dirt caked face bearing a grin and waving a hand with several bleeding cuts. Sauntering up to them she spoke in a poorly done southern accent,"Howdy there folks! I suppose these finely killed vampire are ya'll doing. Nicely done work I must say. Top notch with the pistol whip on this one."
She butted the head of one close to her with her boot. Turning her gaze to the other, her grin grew a little wide as she held up the slightly dirty, but still gleaming silver case. Yet despite the dirt, dents, and scratches the Kuro's Gang crest shone out unmarked by her rough climb back up. "Believe good leader this is yours. Sorry it's a bit later on arrival... if you've got complaints you can take it up with Ms. Knightgale. She's the one who assigned me with this little thing here," she said staring at the case for a bit. Then she glanced up at Luciano and noted his scowl. She almost wanted to chuckle, not because the expression was laugh worthy, but for the message that his expression sent. Instead she just kept up her grin, "I truly hope your face isn't stuck like that. You can't catch many ladies with that."
