I'm not sure what I should do for James.
Hey KB. Would Grapple like to expand into alcohol sales, and send James a bottle of fine, Grapple-endorsed Absinthe?

No.
It would have to be a prototype excessively highly concentrated testing phase alcohol. Only one man could dare to survive the burn of that strong a drink. James Eredas.

YummyBiscuits I had only two issues. Zantara took two points from me for misunderstanding that " Light blade " means light weight. Two points, not one. And the little mixup with right hands versus left hands. That raised issues because he didnt see that, or I didn't mention it. So, for everyone here, Marx is left handed, sword held in his left hand. But, I still won in both cases, so it's not that big a deal. I'm ******** psyched that on my first try, I'm getting into the semi's. You needed to say when you were going from one handed to two handed in alot of your movements..... or talked about what that free hand was doing in the first place. What are you a one armed samurai? And no...that second point was for something else entirely. Go back and re-read..... and what the hell are you complaining about anyways? You still won.

Dear Princess Molestia And that brings up the whole issue with the rubric I've been talking about for over two years now. But really, the main thing I've noticed in judging, and not just the GTB, is that the judging conflicting. It may not be in character for a character to fight or take the optimal attack, but playing your character stupidity is almost never reflected positively in any RP category. All it nets you is a lower score in whatever tactics/logic category there is because your only answer is, "Well, because that's what my character would do...That's what they know how to do." And I still don't have the slightest clue on how the RP category is graded. It's really frustrating to get nothing but praise for how I portray my character and to never get a 3. Seriously, what's the point of me even being somewhat consistent with how she reacts to situations instead of just masterfully doing everything, despite her not being a trained fighter. Quote: This fight is another one that I was looking forward to. A pair of characters who have a long history as somewhat lovers who have had a falling out sometime ago with betrayal by a Succubus? This is like Roleplay gold for me. If I don't see some hair pulling and a face to the knee, I am going to be highly disappointed. And we're off to the races!!! An interesting beginning to both fighters. Like I've said before D.M.P., you play a succubus as she should be played. Not an ounce of kindness nor a thing to be apologietic for. K.T.T., interesting angle of how your character is handling it. I really wish I would have looked for your previous roleplays together so that I could get a better understanding of the backstory. I'm actually going to have to find a way to remind myself to do just that in the near future. I think the only issue I'd have with what is in front of me concerning backstory and how Robyn is acting, she seems almost “too much in control” to be this angry and upset. Almost as if it's an act. The “I won' kill you right now, fer the sake of this tournament” quib towards D.P.M. seemed a touch out of character. Rosalyn hurt her in such a way that Robyn should see nothing but blood, wanting that succubus' head on the ground at her feet while the little fox girl laughs... perhaps a mental breakdown right there in the middle of the tournament would be appropriate. That is just my own opinion on it so take what you will from that. The Flute comment was a picture perfect slap to the face D.P.M. I loved it like you would not believe. It's very frustrating when I get comments like that, about how good of a job I did, and a score that doesn't reflect it. On top of that, I'm not told what is being looked for to get that perfect score. Though, I have a bunch it's not consistent to begin with. I mean, it's nice that the judge took his time to go through and nitpick the not-so-important stuff in each paragraph of each post, but it offers very little information in regards as to why he gave the numbers he did. In the future I think it'd be much better to organize your comments by judging category and explain your decision in points. It'd be much more helpful to say, "You did this very well, but here's exactly why you got a 1 instead of a 2." Mainly, the numbers came out the way they did, because of my own personal opinions. You two were basically tied.... but please, try to remember this is my first tournament. I apologize if there was some issue with the scoring card or me not going into more detail of exactly why I gave you certain scores. If you'd like, when I have time I can go over it point by point with you. But your going to have to wait for at least a day or two. I've got my plate full currently of so many things on Gaia... but I will get to you if that is something you desire.

I am only complaining since you took two points away, instead of one. I didn't pick up any need for the two point repercussion for a simple misunderstanding. And all of the strikes were one handed. But ultimately, I did win. I'm just a bit weirded out by the negative two.

No...that one is only an "Out of 2" point score so it has to be roleplaying. I took away the other point because A)You and your opponent wouldn't let that Chain Hook go away. Three times in your posts, you mentioned it being ripped out of your calf as if it was the first time it'd happened. At least three times you did that, probably more now that I think of it. Three times it came ripping out of your calf if you go and count each post as a separate instance. Your leg should have been ripped to shreds if this is so and get a point taken away. If this was a mistake on your part trying to subtly hint to your opponent that the chain was out of your thigh, then you should get a point taken away from you by constantly going back to it when you didn't have to. I also took it away because B)If all of the strikes were one handed as you said, what were you doing with your other hand this entire time? Why would you do a standard downward slice on a outstretched leg with only one hand when two would put enough force for you to pop the appendage right on off? I could probably go through it and come up with at least...say 2-3 other reasons why I'd taken that second point away if you'd like.

I'm referring to the minus two points I received as a result of the " Light blade " comment in the breach of profile section. You misunderstood it as a literal blade made of light, while in fact it is a light weight, one handed sword, made of metal like any other. I'm really confused as to why you took two points away for the mistaken single act of profile breaching. That was the biggest source of confusion. I still had enough points to come out on top, but still, two points? Nevertheless, I do get quite a bit of enjoyment reading through your huge comments section. It's like a cool tips and hints section, which really helps me work out the kinks that come with any somewhat new character.

And I went back and realized what you were talking about... If this was about the violation of profile, you should have said so. Now that.... well that was a previous call and Vintrict actually forgot about putting your penalty into his score. So....yeah.... my bad about the previous rant, but as to the actual reason I gave you a negative two penalty???? Because it wasn't just a "misunderstanding". It was a pretty big issue and I called it like I thought it should be called.

I'll just be sure not to use the word light blade again, and it won't be that big of a problem in the future. Unless Marx does somehow obtain a light saber. Which would rock.
