Caught the 8 pm show of Wicked today after waiting for two hours in the cancellation line. I liked the music and there are some pretty funny moments in there, but having read the book first I kept nitpicking.
If I Hadn't Read The Book First: 8.5. It was a pretty good musical, it really was.
Having read The Book First: 6. They had mixed alot of the events up, didn't kill off the characters, left some out altogether, and some of the characterization was off.
Would still see it again though. No doubt about that.
