She stopped a moment in her tracks, letting the others catch up and Malik and Jarlaxle passing her before she started to follow. Right now it was best if she wasn't walking ahead or behind all of them...seeing as her feet were threatening to trip her up as they often did when she was out of sorts. But she kept herself quiet, listening to the conversation between drow just for the hell of having something to listen to. Though a hand reached up to tug at her bandana a moment before dropping down to her collar and holding there as she walked.

"Let us consider that Dimitri may have found some use for the conduit which would allow him to discard her so easily. That use might be related to the half elf, and the Oracle." He smiled, "Maybe we just are not sceintifically minded enough to understand his plot."

"Science. the conduit is not really useful for that either. but she did have an attachement to the halfbreed. capturing her coudl be used as incentive for him to cooperate. but for what purpose then. his magic was pathectally weak, even by halfbreed standards. But being part of teh family line..genetics. that's how he has a new body. the Oracle and the halfbreed's genetics to breed and grow himself a souless body. But if he has a new body, why bother with the Oracle. why not just kill her and be done with it."

"What makes you so certian that she is still alive?" The drow responded, "Maybe, he let her escape so he could torment her more later." The drow yawned. "Or maybe, you overlook the conduit's use."

"I know what the conduit can and cannot do. it's chaotic energy in the form of black goo. does all sorts of random things but never what you want unless the conduit can control herself and command it's power, or you can. and a child doesn't have that capacity. if the Oracle wasn't alive, Ton and Eca wouldn't bother to even help us. Eca's primary reason is to help the Oracle. Now how long she might live after she's out of Dimitri's direct grasp, who knows. he may kill her as soon as her wellbeing changes hands. But he's probably using her for some other purpose."

Hey look, fortress incoming, and under a dragon seige. kind of a pretty sight, from a battlefield standpoint. nothing like a dragon to get people in gear or fleeing, eh?

The drow continued to walk forward, "You have a knack for underestimating people." The Princeling usually overestimated people. "Do you listen to what you say, or merely assume that all your enemies are idiots?"

"Most of my enemies are not on this plane. and I do listen to what I say. I just simply state what I think or feel, and not wrap it up in a thousand yarns of plots within plots within distractions within other plots. the Tier'dal are not nearly as divided and cutthroat amoungst themselves are you are. I will say politics is still very cutthroat, and there are always deals and backstabbing and triple crosses. but we are mostly united agasint our enemies, and not so much watching every other Tier'dal for a hidden dagger. and I was a soldier. I didn't play those games then, and I still don't. which probably constitutes the 'schoolyard bully' image you have of me."

"I don't have any enemies." Jarlaxle replied with a very stern tone, he meant it. "Your sheltered life has limited your ability to understand how your enemy is thinking."

"You don't consider yourself a bully? How perplexing. All you do is pick on creatures you deam weaker than yourself, unless of course, one stronger than you makes you march."

Men. Did they always have to argue and try to prove each other wrong? Was it the male ego at work? Zahara was dangerously close to going back with Lloth's idea and making them worthless and keeping them on their knees with the women in power. At least women didn't argue needlessly and toss insults. They fought, catfights maybe, but they fought about issues that mattered. None of this insult tossing questioning BS. The bone fragment disappeared, who knew where but disappear it did and she tossed her head and sighed. Piper was miffed, Kieran was quiet and the men continued to argue. What a wonderful trip. She glanced for a moment at Tanundra who was having a jolly old time slamming into the castle and she rolled her eyes. Yet another shortcoming of men...

A sigh as her hand worried at her collar, letting fingers curl around the metal and even thread through the unique scroll work and patterning of the objects, faintly making it produce a tinkling sound from little arrows hitting each other with the sway of her gait...which was haphazard enough as it was, the occassional free hand being thrown out to grab some balance that was threatened to be lost. A look up every few moments at the sound of cracking and falling stone. Yeah they'd have to get past that dragon again first...no sense in getting themselves killed.

"That of course is the misconception. no one makes me march. I choose to march only, and I repeat, only...because the oracle is pipers friend and Dimitri's plan threatens my own home and well-being. if he let the oracle go, and didn't touch my home, I wouldn't care what he did. domina, deepwater, honoursfield..and everything inbetween adn around me could fall and I would care less. In fact, there is nothing that would please me more than to have a male being crush a Llothian society under thier boot. Just to give those spider worshipping women a real taste of humility."

A shrug.

"But we can argue these points till doomsday. we come from different worlds. what is weak in one is not in the other. Tier'dal of norrath are not the drow of labyrinth."

A glance at Tanundra.

"I think it might be best if we find an enterance that isn't particularly close to that giant firebreathing lizard, lest we find it caving in on us."

"Tarathiel does that too, cover's his actions with excuses..." The general chuckled, "Yes, we do come from different worlds." He laughed rather loudly after he said that, there was no need to delve too deeply into that conversation. "And I am well aware of how Norrath functions."

"Dimitri doesn't seem to be the type to have back doors. That would mean that he isn't as powerful as he thinks he is, should he need to run away."

"THen again, you beat him up..."

Okay she had had about enough of thier banter. "Hey, men. How about more go and less slow...bantering back and forth like a bunch of children on things that do not matter nor take precidence. We all don't like each other, we all don't care for each other's opinions. There, now that that's settled, how about trying to get in without dying while doing it?"

"She may be harsh in her wording but she does have somewhat of a point. We're only distracting ourselves from our objective." Yes of course he had to put in his two cents. The women were pissy, the men were confrontational. Was he the only one who was neutral all around with his mood and wording?

"Why don't you just lead the charge then, Miss Elf?" The drow chuckled, "OR have you still not realized, I am not taking a leadership role here."

Zahara kicked at a piece of stone that had been dislodged and sent it tumbling along the ground. "Thank you! Gods if you two would ever shut up and just go we might be able to do this and get back!" Their banter for the past hour had been seriously pissing her off and she was ready to gut them both, or even pull out that whip and show them how a real woman used it. Damn Malik, she felt herself jumping to defend her sisters and then wondered why? Why should she defend them when she ran away? She didn't have an answer for that so she merely glared at Jarlaxle, why did he do that? Have to go and point things out and just....be aggravating. Too bad she wasn't a practicing Llothian anymore, she'd have liked to practice her whip skill...on his back.
