So...* Ali walked over to the closest tree and sat himself down in front of it, resting his back against it and simply feeling the grass with his hands.*What makes Ziven happy, Squirrels?

"Learning new things .. helping others .. creating things .. going to new places .. being in Reeves, but that is no longer an option .. reading books .. playing games can be enjoyable also, though that may frustrate me instead of make me happy .. visiting old friends .. What makes Ali happy? Ponies?" she spoke, flowing from one thought to another, flowing from thought to teasing in but an instant. Rolling to her side, she propped her head up on one hand, looking at Ali with a mischievous smile.

* Ali thought for a few moments, things that makes me happy by Ali. Sex, Guns, Discovering artifacts in ruins, Video games, animals in general, Whiskey, Inflicting pain upon others who deserve it or when required, Clavi, Nature, Watching children play and/or play with children and shopping in Durem, Barton, Isle de Gambino or Aekea.* Hmm....children.

"Ahh, yes. I enjoy watching young people play with each other and have fun. It took a long time for me to appreciate that but I do see how beautiful that is." she said softly, laying on her back again, placing one arm over her eyes, thinking of things.

* Ali began to laugh somewhat about how she called children young people, true it could be used but it just sounded silly.* Young people?

"Yes. Especially with some, they may be offended if you say they are a child when they feel they are more than a child." she said softly. "I know this also from my own experiences. Having the mentality of an adult nearly my entire life yet the body of a child .. how many times I was discriminated against simply because of my age when I needed to perform tasks for my master .. Well, never mind that. What has passed is of no matter."

I grew up with the call names like "punk" or "brat" myself, Quite frankly It didn't bother me much.* Ali smiled yet had a underlying serious tone in his voice, His childhood came into mind with all the good and bad. Days seemed endless and fun was frequent, sure there were bad times but they pulled through...Tilly, Edward, Nick, Jenny, Ria, "Wolf", Brad, Xilla and of course himself. "The Little Hoodlums", Horrible name for a child gang yet it suited them. Wonder what happened to the others after Edward, Brad and Xilla was killed and they group dispersed as the rest made up goals and chose different paths?* Not much...

"Name calling did not bother me very much either. It would make me sad in the moment, but I realized that they were calling the bad names out of fear of me." she said as she moved her arm away from her eyes, again cupping the back of her head with her hands. "It was the lengthy speeches about how much of a freak I was to them, that they never wanted me near them or their families, that they tolerated me only because I was the student of a Rider, that they did not know why their God would create a creature such as me and of course, why, oh why, would not I simply die or leave my master to make everything easier for them." she finished, inhaling deeply. As she spoke these more specific truths, her dress slowly began to move around her legs.

* Ali looked up at her and simply watched her for several moments, her past...an enigma in which Ali hadn't managed to put together properly. Why others would fear her and so was beyond him, but then again people were prejudice at times.* I think you look alright, a creature is more like....Zargs or Tidus. Yet in their eyes we might be the creatures.

"My hair is blue. That is not natural for a human. They were angry simply because I was different. Where I came from, there were no persons with blue hair .. there were no creatures such as Zargs nor Tidus either. I am certain they would have been run out of town had they gone there." she said softly, again sighing. "And .. honestly .. most simply tolerated my master also. They reason they respected them at all is because they are Dragon and Rider. The people of the lands know they will protect them. So, despite the relationship of a Dragon Rider being unnatural and upsetting, knowing that they were a trusted group, they did not fear them. I do not have the luxury of having a group of people or even a name associated as a description of who I am so people would know I can be trusted."

Sounds like you've lived in a really isolated place then, Had you lived where I lived then your blue hair wouldn't surprise people. Hell...one of the girls in my childhood had bright purple hair and that was natural hair color, nobody gave a rats a**.* Ali smiled at her, hoping that would cheer her up. It's wasn't even a lie, but hard truth.*

"That would have been nice. I did not have friends because of that. Everyone cared that my hair was blue and that I spoke 'funny' and that I had a master and no family. Gossip is ridiculous. Mmm .. had there been even one person who would have seen past the fear .. I would have enjoyed that very much. But now .. I am very grateful for now. I have friends, I know that they know I can be trusted. It helps me to have trust in myself, despite still holding caution for events that I have experienced more in my life to return." she said cheerfully, smiling brightly .. which was odd. This was the first time she had been able to speak of her past and not feel upset or ashamed. "Somehow I find it very peaceful speaking with you about myself. Usually others try to offer 'help' when I do not want it or do not understand why I hold the opinion I am speaking."

Our past is what has made us into the people we are today.* Ali smiled back at her and then leaned back, resting his head against the tree with a smirk upon his lips.* Besides, despite your troubled past you've still managed to become a independent and strong woman. Sure you have your share of luggage but who doesn't?

Well yes but I spoke in pictures.* Ali's smirk grew a little wider afterwards, he might try to remember that she took things very literally soon.* We all look at ourself in a different light then others do, I mean most people consider me a mean b*****d yet I see myself as a....man who strives after power to earn his love from his most beloved one and money to ensure his children's happiness.
