One of the things I got was a $50 gift certificate to a used books/music/game store that I love to shop at and I ended up buying the Vol. 1 dvd of Excel Saga (recommended by friends - so far I've only watched the first episode and it's ******** weird), Grandia II for Dreamcast ($25 in very good condition! heart ), Vol. 3 of the Gundam Wing manga, and a super sweet deal on Vol. 1 of the Girls Bravo manga (I haven't heard if it's good or not but it was only 5 CENTS because of really frayed edges so I thought, "What the heck? I'll give it a try" - I ended up getting it for free because it wasn't on the receipt 4laugh ).

They didn't have that many good games this time. The ones that were good were the valuable ones (they're stored in a special glass case). Besides Grandia II, there was Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete (PS1 - ended up passing on because it didn't have the big box - $25?), Growlanser: Generations (all the special crap included - very tempting because I wanted it when it first came out - $50), The Arc the Lad Collection (Like new condition - very tempting as well - $55). I also saw Final Fantasies Anthology and Chronicles, but I already have them, plus there was a copy of Final Fantasy VII in the glass case going for a little over $50. rofl

I can be picky like that. xp I like to buy games in the best condition if it's possible. I saw a copy of Resident Evil 2 there, along with Resident Evil Director's Cut at another store and the thought of buying them flashed in my mind for a second because they were in really good condition, although I already own both.

I'm very weird. sweatdrop

On a random note, remember the game store that was selling a copy of Silent Hill for $50? I went yesterday and saw four copies this time, and they were still charging the same price. If they have that many, they should only be charging $20-$30. confused

Hey, I like my games in best condition too, which, in Lunar's case would probably cost you $100 or so. Personally, if it's a rare game, I'll buy it in bad condition if it's less expensive, and then AFTER, get it in a better conditon anyway.

Well, you should buy them at 50 each and then sell them on eBay for $70 each.

I was giving second thoughts on Lunar. It didn't have it's box, and there's a number of sticky marks where price tags have been before, but I might not get another chance to get it that cheap...

If end up buying Lunar (and possibly Arc and Growlanser), I'm not going to sell. I will play them and add them to my collection. 3nodding

Meh. If I wanted a Wii or a 360, I'd probably be jealous. But I had a Wii, and it heavily disappointed me. And I wouldn't buy a 360 because with my luck and 360's reputation, it would break down on me in 2 days. And it's not like there's anything I really want for it anyway. Not something I can't get on PC.

But for your amusement, I bring you the list of games and other things that a vast number of customers have asked me:

Cod Five (Call of Duty: World At War)
Marvel vs. DC Universe (Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe)
Marvel vs. Mortal Kombat (Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe)
That Marvel game with Batman (Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe)
Paper Mario Kart
WiiBox
Game Boy 360
Call of Duty 6
Super Mario Paper
"Do you guys have Street Fighter 2 HD Turbo Remix for the 360?"
Call of Duty: Cold at War
Crono Tono (Chrono Trigger)
Live or Dead 4 (Left 4 Dead)
Super Smash Brothers Brawl 4
Lips for Wii
X-Men VS Marvel (Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe)
Benji Kadooie (Banjo Kazooie)
Mortal Kombat vs Marvel Heroes
Mario fo DSP
So it's like buying it from retail right? From like EB Sports?
Justice League vs DJ's or something (Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe)
Wii Fit for PS3
Is gears of war out for ps3 or just xbox?
Is metal gear solid out for the xbox or just playstation?
I'm looking for this one game, I already bought Metal Gear Solid 4, I just need Guns of the Patriots.
"So you have SCOM for PSP?"
Left Undead 4
P3 controller (PS3 controller)
You guys got PC2 controllers? (PS2 controller)

I think some of those people didn't really know games all that well, and were just getting it for their kids/friends who told them what to get once, and they're going on that one memory. In other words, not everyone knows video games or video game titles. Unless they weren't all confused parents. Then that be hilarious.

Most of them are guys between 17 and 25. You know, the guys who'll call you 'boss', like, "Sup, boss. I'm lookin for Cod Five."

Parents DO know what they're talking about, because they write these things down.
