guess nobody noticed, that i summoned a giant fire avatar, that probaly scared all vampires >.>...

Its more like no one cares... What kind of vampires are scared of fire? stare Maybe in the old black and white dracula movie.

Well, personally I ignored it, because hogging all of the enemies is kind of greedy of you, I wanted to have some fun of my own. Personally, I'll just be using maybe a half-dozen at the most, I'm having them be strong enemies, not just cannon fodder.

What's vampire chronicles? Never heard of it. I draw my information from sources like Blade, Interview with a vampire, Queen of the Damned, Underworld, etc. In most vampire-related stories I have heard, they are no more afraid of fire than regular men are. Here's the confusion:

In older movies, the creators made it seem as though vampires didn't like any light at all, and were actually afraid of it. That wouldn't really make sense unless they had highly sensitive eyes that would be hurt by any bright light. But modern film makers and authors made the fear of light more realistic by making their vampires only weak against Ultra Violet light, which makes much more sense because vampires are said to have weak skin pigmentation, like albinos. That would fit the old stories that vampires were creatures of the night and slept in sealed coffins in order to escape harmful UV rays. Thus, vampire society could be advanced and civilized under the light of fire and electricity, rather than being nothing more than nocturnal beasts.

Hedoro: ookay, fair enuff. Well as long as i get a fair share of them. its a genjutsu anyways >.>

Yuan: Thanks for the useless info. In theory, vampires are creatures that have been a offspring of an immortal. So they are in fact, partially human. All humans have a natural fear of fire, just because of it's brutal nature...and cause it hurts when you touch it. So im guessing that when these cats see a giant being that is made entirely out of burning material they would PROBABLY get scared...

Side note: For those of you who don't know, Ultra Violet light is generated only by the sun and special UV lamps. That is why you get a tan when you spend time in sunlight, but not under electric light-bulbs. xp

XD The Vampire Chronicles ARE the Interview with a Vampire, Lestat, Queen of the Damned, The Vampire Armand, etc.

In the story, Lestat warns Louis that fire is extremely hazardous towards them, which is why when Louis got hit with a lantern early in the book, it was harmful to him, same to when Claudia lit Lestat alight.

Reaver | Yush! I wanna come. -nods- See you later.

Mythic:: My friend's wedding, on Gaia~

Vampire Weakness/fire:: Actually, if you look at it simply. Many things can kill a vampire.
The "stake to the heart" Theory is obvious. Anyone can die from that.
You can drown, burn, or even crush to kill a vampire, if done correctly. They do breathe. Fireis an obvious one. Burn them hot and long enough, and they'll basically be ash.

Ice is effective, just freeze them solid.
In less you go by the Vampire Knight - Vampire. Which has an elemental affinity type of magic. And may use say ice, or fire, or even blood. It all goes down to how you perceive a vampire.

Hmm, that shouldn't be a problem. I'll just shelve discussions on whether Genjutsu can affect the dead or not, since this is all sort of time-killing anyways.
And wow, Bill Nye, that takes me back.

INCORRECT: All humans do not have a natural fear of fire. In actuality, humans have a natural fascination with fire. Did you know that fire has hypnotic qualities? If you stand and stare into a flame for long enough, you will faint. If all humans had a natural fear of fire, then Pyromaniacs would be walking contradictions. Humans do not have a natural fear of fire, they have a natural fear of death, and therefore, they have a healthy respect for anything that could cause death.

I for one know that I am not afraid of fire at all, and love to play with it whenever possible! ^.^

Hmm, I don't recall any fear of fire amongst the vampire in the movies that I have seen that you listed, but you may know them better than me. Still, the modernized idea of a vampire makes much more sense than the ancient legend, and there are more examples of the modern seen today.
