Indeed, he needed to have his own experiences and not just the ones with Micha. The whole point of his coming out was to be honest about himself, and to live freely. He too did not want to go back to their days of hiding. Staying in night after night eating nothing but take out and watching repeated movies. Or if not that then stealing kisses when no one was looking or waiting until all was clear just to hold Micha's hand. Samuel could not, would not go back to such ways. If he ever needed proof that Micha loved him, the fact that he put up with all of that and more was proof enough.
Standing there, they continued to tease one another. He couldn't help his curiosity as Micha suggested they give everyone a reason to stare. He could think of a few things, but he wanted to hear him say it. As he stood waiting the answer he received was not verbal but in the form of a kiss. His lids instantly grew heavy as Micha kissed him deeply. His hands naturally sought out his waist as he kissed him back. One turned into another and then another. He smirked against Micha's lips as the male's fingers threaded through his hair. With each brush of his lips the room and everyone around them seemed to melt away.

He should have known that Micha would not give a verbal response, and yet he was still pleasantly surprised. Closing his eyes, he accepted the male's kiss. It was the first time they'd shared a kiss like this. With no hiding, nowhere to run, and half of New York to see. As Samuel held on to Micha he felt him shift closer. He kept a firm hold on his waist as they shared another kiss. Breathing in his scent, tasting his lips, it was as if the world slipped away. It was as if suddenly, the watchful eyes, the thumping music, and the noisy crowd none of it mattered.
Samuel felt his anxiety ease as he focused all of his attention on Micha. He had never been so bold as to kiss someone in public like this before. After sharing a few more kisses Micha was the first to pull away. A faint blush appeared as Samuel opened his eyes and saw Micha smiling. He smiled back at him and nodded in response to his question. "Much better." he replied. He took another soft kiss while Micha slid his hand down the back of his neck. "Thank you."

Samuel continued to hold Micha as they the last few kisses. He was surprised to feel Micha relax since kissing somewhere so publicly was his idea. He wondered if the male had worried that Samuel might push him away or outright reject his attention, like when they dated before. If that was the case then there was no need to worry. He was nervous but also serious about being out. He wouldn't hurt Micha anymore than he already had by forcing him to hide. If their big kiss became the talk of the club for the next few nights, then so be it.
As Micha pulled away to question him, Samuel answered honestly. Even as the world came back into focus he really was fine. As if to prove as much, Samuel stole another kiss from his lips. He pulled away a moment later, thanking him softly. He smiled as Micha teased him. "Mm, maybe one day I can return the favor." he replied. Drawing his arms around him, Samuel gave him a light squeeze. Never again would he force Micha back into a closet. He was out. They were out.
Wrapping his arms around Micha's waist he lightly squeezed him. He held on to him as he glanced towards the stage. The band had just finished another high energy song and was promising something a little slower in honor of all the couples on the dance floor. He couldn't prove it but he swore the front man winked in their direction.

Samuel wasn't sure how just standing there could be used as repayment. But if Micha was happy then he supposed that was all that mattered. After speaking, Samuel squeezed him lightly. A small gesture but affectionate nonetheless. He watched as Micha shifted, he felt his hands brush against his neck as he came closer. The music around them began to slow and the overhead lights changed to something softer. No doubt it was in part thanks to Alaine's efforts. He briefly thought to seek him out to confirm, but looking back at Micha he knew it was time to fulfill his promise.
Holding on to the male's waist, Samuel led them into a slow dance. He swayed to the sound of the dream like guitar, keeping time to the softer beat of the drum. It had been ages since Samuel had shared a slow dance with anyone, and even longer since it was with someone he cared about. "Have you ever danced like this with someone?" he asked curiously.

He held him cloee as a slow song played throughout the club. All around them the other dancers partnered up, while a few left the floor entirely. Samuel paid them little mind as he only had eyes for Micha. He watched the male smile before leading them into a slow dance. It had been some time since his last slow dance, but the moves came back to him naturally. Samuel found it easy to lead, and Micha not to be nearly as poor a dancer as he claimed. As they swayed slowly Samuel soon questioned him. It didn't surprise him when Micha shook his head. But he was a little surprised to learn he'd never danced with anyone, slow or otherwise. "Really? he asked. "Not even in school or for a family function? Samuel had long stopped counting how many times he'd been forced to dance with someone. As much as he would have preferred to remain a wallflower growing up, he was glad to be able to share his skills with Micha.

Like so many things in his upbringing, formal dance was just another on that long list of requirements. From his school, his mother, his grandmother, and so many others felt the need for not only him, but his brothers as well, to learn the various classics. This wasn't to say that Samuel hated dancing, there were times it had been quite enjoyable. But the shy boy from his childhood would often question this new set of skills and how often he would really put them to use. Little did he know he would find himself at various parties, dances, weddings, and more, all leading to this very moment where he would find himself with Micha in his arms.
Holding on to the male, it was and was not surprising to learn that Micha had never been given the opportunity to dance with someone. He questioned him curiously and listened as he explained. Samuel smiled a little as he tried to imagine Micha being so clumsy. "Well, for someone with next to no experience, you seem to be doing alright so far." he said softly. Drawing his hand against Micha's lower back, he helped lead him into a small turn. His younger self may not have appreciated dancing as much, but he wouldn't trade all that experience for this one song with Micha.

Lucky for them both the dance wasn't too complicated. He wasn't at all worried about either of them tripping or stepping on someone's foot. Even with Micha's limited experience he probably could have led him in a simple waltz. And even if it wasn't perfect it wouldn't matter. He liked being here with him like this; a public claim, making sure the entire club knew just whom he belonged to.
His hand brushed against his back as he turned them. Samuel smirked as the male teased him. "It's not like you wouldn't be the first." he replied. As painful as it was to have his foot stepped on, at least he could take comfort in knowing that Micha wouldn't be doing it while wearing stilettos. As Micha spoke again, Samuel was soon given another kiss. He laughed softly and smiled. "Mm, could be that. Or maybe you're not so bad after all." he teased back. Leaning down, it was his turn to steal another kiss.

It was a new experience to claim someone so publicly. But he was slowly warming up to it. Let them gawk and talk all they liked. So he broke a few hearts tonight, it wasn't as though those people had any chance with him to begin with. His heart had taken by Micha a long time ago. Holding on to him, he proved as much. He continued to gently sway and move to the beat of the song. Samuel didn't care if they never danced again, he would always remember this moment.
Samuel didn't keep count of how many bad dancers he'd been paired with. Though if he had he was sure it would be somewhere in the double digits. He smiled as Micha teased him again before taking a kiss. "That could be arranged." he teased back. Samuel didn't mind the idea of showing Micha a few more dances if he was that interested. They could share a few more moments like tonight. As Samuel kissed him, he felt it returned. He tightened his grip on the male's waist as Micha leaned into it. He bit back a groan as Micha then deepened it. Samuel kissed him back, enjoying his taste and smell. He never wanted the dance to end.
