"Well.. we still have Waffle and Sabe staying back." Koji said, refastening his whip around his waist now that they were preparing to move out. "Plus Johnny's here, I'm sure an angel can deal with vampires no problem, right?"

"I suppose so," Nariana responded to Koji thoughtfully. 'But Sabe left, and Johnny didn't fight the first time. Oh, well. Whatever happens, we can probably afford the damage repairs,' she thought a bit apathetically. Raising her left leg and grabbing her ankle, she stretched her quad muscles and said, "Then let's-- Wait. What's that sound?" she interrupted herself and listened intently. 'Vampire? No, they wouldn't use the front door.' But that thought did nothing to calm her nerves. She glared at the door expectantly, waiting for whomever it was to come in.

Waffle heard the curtain rings dragging across the rod as she turned the knob again and went inside the bathroom. Instead of drawing back the curtain immediately, she leaned against the wall. "Get out," she ordered.

Sabe stayed quiet and didn't move. Letting the water run over him, he started tearing up as he knew what was going to happen next. There was no escaping his wife.

Waffle pulled the curtain back, prepared to turn whoever it was into a crispy critter. Sabe was leaned up against the tile shower wall, and had tucked his more sensitive parts between his legs. She didn't bother with magic this time. She gave his right side a hard jab and as he bent foward, she slammed his head against the nearest wall. As Sabe, in a daze, slumped against the corner in the tub Waffle turned the knobs to stop the water and hung his clothes over the curtain rod. She grabbed the tip of Sabe's ear and tugged it toward the door. "Get moving."

Skotti removed his Goggles and mask and before he could ask what in durem was happening, was pummeled by a summary of the gang's current state. " oh dear, they broke my favorite ottoman. Can i not go on vacation without the place going to pieces?" He asked.

it was only when Twi had led the Vampires to Countess Ambrosia's temporary base that he realized his clothes were still tattered. the guards smirked at him and snickered.

looking down at his state of disarray, he growled. "their fault." he jabbed a thumb in the direction of the surviving Vampires.

they were let inside the building, which was already filled with wounded, impaled and near-dead Vampires, as well as humans and Werewolves who were helping them.

Countess Ambrosia walked out, with Norn on her arm. the crow flew to her Master's shoulder, and ruffled her feathers.

"you've done well, but there is obviously something missing. what went wrong?"

Twi gulped and furrowed his brow. he dreaded the report he had to give...

Twi had no desire for glory in anyone's eyes but his own. he knew the consequences of his decisions, but he bore the weight of those decisions. he lied to the Countess, making himself seem incompetent rather than allow his former friends to be discovered. he covered up his inability to acquire the files of Luc, Waffle, Skotti and Pen.

he was surprised, and relieved, when she still told him he was in charge of surveilance and intelligence operations concerning that headquarters. he was proffessional about his response.

"and Valthier... I trust the judgement of our Prince, Louie. remember that."

those last words from Ambrosia haunted him as he left the building. he needed to get back home and change into new clothes. he also needed to plan how he would alert Luc to destroy his files without betraying the Vampire Clans... after all, Luca had to be stopped.

"Well we need to move fast if we hope to find those files." Koji readjusted his glasses and moved towards the door. "It's possible they realized Charlotte here wasn't carrying them while we were fighting and went back to look when they retreated."
