mute_coyote The phrase "political slash fiction" just popped into my head and I wasn't sure whether to giggle or flinch. I wound up doing an interesting combination of both. The idea of slash never crossed my mind xd But the gears are in motion now....

y'know, it really sucks when you're a minority and living what feels like alone, and then you find some other minorities who agree with your views. Then you say something that was confused with something else, and they start making fun of you in front of your face [cruelly so]. You apologize, said that you didn't mean to offend anyone, and no one recognizes that you tried to make amends for something you didn't intentionally do. You're polite the whole entire time while everyone else is being a flaming d-bag. And these people are supposed to be compassionate. Seriously.
Because in the end you feel like you're still alone, except now you feel like nobody effing takes you seriously, and nobody wants you except if you make yourself a target for ridicule.

maenad nuri So, uh, I recorded a little something -- the chant I use all the time in ritual. Be kind, please rewind. (I may be listening to a little bit too much Great Big Sea lately, cause I really want to record a few of their songs) You can find it here, folksThat is really beautiful Nuri!!!

I've been hit with this a lot in the trans community. Any more details on that situation or where it happened? If you feel comfortable discussing what minority you are.

Illness still upon me, end still nigh. Moved onto my chest. crying
Yay for the inaugration! However, that big prayer thing...is that acceptable to do at something like that? Over here it was met with a fair bit of disscussion.
Me and my dad were musing on how shocked people get when america shows that they have a different culture to us. We share a common language and our cultures do overlap, but America is still a forgeign country.
