Few problems with your last post that I have to address.
1) Oni doesn't know your characters. I will not RP him as if he does. That kind of backstory needs to be run by the person in control of the other character. You can't just make up whatever you want and assume people will just go with it.
2) Even if I had gone along with your backstory, Oni doesn't devour souls. He's a weretiger/weredragon hybrid. No part of that requires devouring souls, ever.
1) well I'm sorry i assumed I could. It's almost impossible to make a backstory in this guild because unless someone was around when it started they have no idea what all happened or what any of you guys are referring to.

A Kitsune may escape death from being killed by other creatures by going to their spirit form and simply passing through them, but Dragon or Oni are an exception. When eaten by Dragons or Oni their spiritual energy is absorbed and digested to the point that their being is starved and killed. So as far as my charater knows your characters is one of the few who can end her life.

Forgive Devil, he wasn't trying to be rude. Allow me to maybe explain a few things. Devil, like everyone else involved in this story has put a lot of time into their characters. Some characters have been around since the very first HvsH. For example, Inferno has been here since the second HvsH. We plan to post up a history thing soon enough but back to the point. Not many people like when someone else's character uses their character and or history out of the blue. It is always good to message the member who roleplays the character to gain permission. This helps prevent conflict between members and avoid confusion within the story.
Each crew member involved with this guild is a good member and for the most part friendly. Many of them would be honored to have their characters be involved with another character's story. That is part of the success of the story is when another story crosses over with another. Just message them and ask first. If you want to be part of the history I can help you with that. As well as Draka and Devil over there. They have been involved with this story longer than I have. Also, I don't mind you using Inferno in a flash back but I'd like for him to stay in character. If you wish to mention him in the flash back at least allow me to message you on how he would react to the situation and or event of this flash back. Sorry, hope this helps.

1) Eh. Sorry, but you can't assume that sorta stuff. Usually backstory with another character has to either be RPed, or you get permission from the RPer of that character (if it is a guild RPC, you must contact crew). Claiming that you have been around the entire time and such I think is in the realm of reasonable, but you can't claim major roles of anything. For example, you can't claim somethin' such as being a member of Cruxis, or a political leader that made mankind a space fairing people. You'd always have to assume the role of someone behind the scenes, that never so much as once made a major role in a plot in the past that you personally never RPed. Part of the point is sorta to encourage people to make new chars who don't know what is going on. Such as both of my Chars Kain and Avery. Neither of them were around for any of it. Thus they don't know what is currently going on. Also, if you're gonna claim that your char has been around the entire time, you will have to know everything from start to finish about the actual history of HvH - not just making up stuff that happened unless it did not have anything to do with the history of HvH or an effect on the history of HvH. What I mean by this is there can be no alteration of the actual history of HvH (and there is no way a char can know everything that had gone on without personally being inside the groups - sorry, but observation is a small view of the whole picture.)
2.) I don't really get any of that, or at least not in the fashion that it exactly applies..? o.o

I can agree with you there - that's the way it goes when you jump onto a new train.
However, I think what Devil was trying to say was simply "Look, I'm all for making a back plot with your character if you want, but we gotta talk about it in PM's or something first, THEN we can RP it out." Because if you just make something up, you have no clue if it interferes or lines up with anything in the past.
Just like if I said "Oh man, I remember when my character and yours used to have milk chugging contests! Those where the days, haha - glad to see ya again."
And then it turns out your character is actually allergic to milk, so there is no way that is even remotely plausible. If I had just shot you a PM asking if it'd be okay if I said that, you woulda been all "HECK NA! He can't drink no milk!" and then we could proceed with a different course of action. Making up a back story together that WOULD make sense with the story.
Now I know it will be more difficult for you, since you are somewhat new, but keep in mind that doesn't make it impossible. You just gotta double check with someone like Devil, or Jilly, or HATE or Draka or Negi or Phantom - the Crew - who have been here quite some time and can give you a thumbs up or down if your plot makes sense.

And of course, the longer you stick around, the more you will find out and learn and remember and fit along nicely. Just takes a bit of time. smile
