Laying low had it benefits, despite the draw back of come off as lazy. Yet laying there gave Charlotte perspective or at least something close to it. She watched as she considered her own actions. The clear vampire leader shouted orders, something to the caster, another thing to the Healer who both sprinted into action. The Caster sent a blasted at the small blue-grey girl with overly large snow-globe.

The Leader didn't stay out the fray though, quickly pulling her blade out and point at the two elves hidden by the couch. As they moved to engaged the Healer move to aid his damaged comrade and Charlotte took advantage. Lift the chair by it back leg, she jumped to her feet. Launching the chair at the injured bloodsucker, she knew she had caught the Healer off guard. As he stagger back, she deftly took advantage. Charging the Healer, she struck with accuracy leaving him a limp mess on the ground. For a moment she paused unsure of which direction to going. The battle was clearly not in their favour, but she could even it...if she made the right move.

Koji's shadow manipulation hadn't worked properly for him since his visit to the past. It was probably just a mental block from reliving the situation, but he had bee determined to manifest his powers again during his training session. Unfortunately, upon doing so, he managed to knock himself unconscious for a good deal of time. When he finally started to come back to consciousness, it was to the sound of battle from down the hall. He picked up his glasses which had slid across the floor when he, apparently, fell over only to notice that he must have blown out the lights because it was dark enough for him to see properly. When he picked himself up, the room was rotating slightly and there was a slight buzzing above the noise coming from the other room. "How hard did I hit my head?" He mumbled as he reached for his whip on the way out of the training room. Koji followed the sounds of combat down the hall towards the lobby, leaning against the walls as he tried to keep his balance. At this point, he wasn't even sure if he was really hearing combat or if he had just left the TV on and some movie was playing. The blood splatters near the staircase cleared that up though. There were people fighting, he didn't know who or why, and there was at least one dead body. Before he could try sneaking around the battle field to find someone, Sabe dropped in and plunged a dagger into someone's neck. Koji shook his head, trying to clear away some of the disorientation, and shuffled toward Sabe. "What the hell is going on?"

with waffle's casting, Luc's gun and Sabe's knife, this battle was not going to end well for the invaders. the healer was already down and the caster was not in good condition.

"retreat! we're outgunned" Twi roared, covering the escape of the remaining Vampires.

out in the night, after Twi got the other Vampires to safety, he shifted out of his beast-form and gathered nearby herbs that he knew would be useful first aid.

"where are your injuries?" he asked as he scanned the wounded. he noticed that they were on guard still.

"...what?" he asked. they responded cautiously.

"who are you, elf? how can we trust you?"

growling, Twi picked up one of the tattered pieces of cloth still hanging around his arm. it had the Von Helson badge on it.

"that's no guaruntee." the one he faced said.

"well, right now I'm the one that just saved your sorry asses from certain death. so there's that. now come on, we've got to get you patched up fast and then get you to a better doctor."

Charlotte had almost wanted to laugh at the beast thing shouting they were 'out-gunned' didn't he not notice that despite the flesh of their leader they still had the power. They're caster's shoes were stuck to the ground, but nothing he could get out of. He was clearly capable of fleeing with the rest of them. 'Cowards. Filthy, blood sucking cowards,' she thought scornfully kicking a nearby dead body. Rolling her shoulders she glanced over it listening to the team talk amongst themselves. One was injured, another had fled, one was clearly the leader and the other was confused and mistaken.

"It's not an accusation, if it's true," she muttered as she walked over. Bring forth her more formal voice she addressed the group, "I apologize from bring the unwanted guests. I'm um...not sure how they were tipped off to my route, but...I was sent to inform you're active leader to be wary of possible attacks from vampires."

Upstairs, Sabe made his way into his and Waffle's tub. He turned the two knobs until the water was an acceptably warm temperature and hopped in with his bloodied clothes still on; if he jumped in and washed out most of the blood as soon as he could, he could probably throw them in the washing machine afterward and salvage them.

In the lobby, Waffle scoffed at the unfamiliar elf's message. "Looks like someone wasn't wary enough, then. What do plan on doing now that you failed your job?"

All the commotion over her leg left Nariana a little exasperated. 'I don't want to go to a hospital! I don't need to go to the hospital! I can stand! I'm really okay!!' she wanted to say-- no, yell at the top of her lungs-- to her worried comrades, especially Luciano. But she knew better than to say anything, merely because she recognized that Luc was just taking care of his own. He was tending to his team, and deep down she appreciated it. So she silently let Luc sweep her off of the floor and settled for a sulky scowl. When Johnny intervened, she visibly tensed, remembering her last interaction with the messy-eating angel. However, she relaxed again when he touched her; she felt the muscles in her leg mend and become restored. Looking away, she quietly said, "Thank you...And I'm sorry," before biting her lower lip and carefully slipping out of Luciano's grasp. She hated being so dependent and wanted to stand as soon as possible, even though the mishap had lasted for only a few minutes. She started scowling again as she recalled the events that led to her leg nearly being clawed off.
