"I don't think that's possible," Lin thought taking it literary but she looked up at Eldrin, "Why not? He would stay with my family, nothing would happen to him, and you don't have to worry about anyone attacking...."
She looked up at Earendil next.
"No one would mind and it's safe really."

"Ada would never let me go," Earendil frowned. "He says good riddance to my ada-thel, close the portal and never worry about your world again - especially since so many of you have come through again."
He paused, and a hopeful look crept into his eyes. "But someday ... when I'm older, like Daeron, perhaps I'll be able to go ..."

"Would you come and visit me?" Lin asked, though she didn't know how long that would be before he could, maybe not that long then.
She liked that idea actually.

Earendil chuckled down at Lin, then reached down and ruffled her hair. "Of course I would," he told her with a cheeky grin. "What do you think I've been saying?"
"It would have to be after you're an adult," Eldrin nodded somberly. "Because your father would never let you go otherwise."

Lin reflexitively smoothed out her hair, she didn't like messy hair and tried to pat it down. She looked up at Eldrin wondering what he was thinking.
"Would you visit?"

Eldrin paused at that. It would be fun, if only to irk Ruel ... But he had his training to think about, not only for himself but also for the troops he was working with.
"Perhaps sometime," he smiled down at Lin. "Perhaps someday I'll have an assistant or even a replacement - but for now, my work is far too important, I can't take the time. Sorry."

Lin pouted, but the reason was too good for her to argue with that, she thought about it for a while before looking up at him.
"Okay then, I'll go and visit you again," she replied with certainty, because he certainly must have needed other types of company.

Eldrin beamed, positively pleased. "Would you really?" he asked brightly. "I would really love that!"
Besides being completely fascinated with the other world and loving the company, it would be an added bonus that it would just annoy Ruel.

"Of course!" Lin grinned, 'Who knows, maybe next time I"ll be big enough to get up on my own," she murmured.
She spun happily knowing she could try her hardest to get that far.
"You should get more visitors."

Eldrin chuckled. "Many more and I wouldn't have any time for my work," he told her, "but thanks for the thought."
"More visitors?" Earendil piped up, a wicked gleam appearing in his eyes. "You're going to bring more?" Wouldn't that be fun ...

"Well... I don't know if Mommy would let me bring more," Lin told Earendil, "But I would have brothers and sisters that would like to visit, because this place is interesting."
Lin smiled at the thought.
"Just a few visitors?" Lin looked up at Eldrin.

Eldrin's smile faded slowly and grew suspicious, and he tilted his head curiously at Lin.
"What do you mean, just a few?" he asked cautiously. "How many of you are there?"

"Well, not eveyrone would come," Lin replied back as if that was obvious, "Not everyone wants to come up, but there is.. uhm... Triton... because I don't think he's been up here.. and Feng... and Ryu... and maybe Trisha.. and uhm...." Lin tried to think of other siblings that would be interested.

"Triton?" Eldrin's eyes lit up visibly. "He's here again? He sparred with Prince Gion up here once ... that was a long time ago ... it would be wonderful to see him again!"
He paused. "And why don't you tell me a bit about the others?" he requested. "I haven't met any of them."

"He went with Daddy and Yue up here," she replied haippily, "I'm waiting for them to head back," she nodded.
She giggled thinking about them.
"Feng and Ryu aren't here yet," she explained, "They're twins, and mers, they're training with some other clan right now."
She kind of wanted to do that one day, but she hoped to train with her Daddy's clan.
"They have black hair and brown eyes and are very tall... well... when they have legs."
