I think he means gaia fishing
and I used to fish(real) all the time out in a lake I used to go to and go swimming I even went deep sea fishing once one of my favorite things to do is in the lake have a net and just catch fish with the net I love doing that

i went fishing when i was younger but never caught anything. looking back on it im glad i never did. there are certain practices i have learned about as i got older and that i now condemn.

same except for the deepsea fishing but even then i did catch anything to keep other ppl did

fishing itself i dont mind but there are certainly some fishing related practices that piss me off beyond all belief.

a specific practice known as finning practiced mostly in Asia especially by the Japanese. the practice involves catching sharks cutting off the fins and throwing the sharks back while they are still alive. without their fins the sharks sink to the bottom of the ocean and die. as a result of practices like this where maybe 4 or 5 people die in shark attacks humans kill millions of sharks. and shark populations in the pacific have made a significant drop in the last few decades. several species are making their way to the endangered species or even extinction lists
