Mistress Hecate

PostPosted: Sat Nov 17, 2007 8:55 pm

Hecate couldn't help but cry at the sight of him. Eventhough he had wronged her and hurt her so badly she still had feelings for him. The least she could do was ease his pain. She chanted a healing spell too quite for her father to hear. If he knew what she was doing then he'd make him suffer more.

He could sense Hecate uneasiness. He pulled her close and embraced her. "You shouldn't feel sorry for that human. Remember how he hurt you Hecate. He's just like the rest of the family before I saved you. He despises you too. All they ever did was think negatively about you. But I took you under my wing and gave you a place." He whispered into her ear and a wicked smile went across his face. Toying with her mind was a one of his favorite things. He'd turn Hecate against him.

Cal felt his chest and arm heal, but it still hurt. It hurt mentally...He could hear her father. Brainwashing her...He knew what he was doing didn't he? It was disgusting... Please Hecate.... Dont listen to him. Dont. He's doing it again. He'll betray you again. He'll make you his slave. He'll hurt you Hecate. You know he will. Stop trying to protect me. I cant be hurt anymore. Get away before he does what he already did to you again Cal thought loudly, aiming it at Hecate's head, focusing on her as he thought, knowing she'd hear even if her father did too... Please. He thought desperately again.

Hecate stared back at him. She was hearing two different things from two different people. She didn't know what to do. But they were both right. Cal wasn't any different from the others and he'd betrayed her and he father would just make her a slave again. She had to go back home for everyone's sake though but especially for Cal's. I'm so sorry Cal but I have to go. I never belonged here. I'll be out of the way now and you can keep on living. I'll be fine though. There's nothing he can do to me that will hurt you other then hurting you. If I go you'll be safe. She laughed mentally and paused for a moment. I still love you. It was pointless to say it now but she sent it all back to him.

No. he thought back, strong enough to give her a headache from the impact of just thinking it. Not again. he thought back, actually looking up at her and her father. No.He said, thinking harder and stronger, almost wanting to make her fall over in pain. Just to let her know...

Hecate did so in reaction. His voice rung in her mind loudly and she grabbed it in pain and fell to her knees. Why couldn't he just accept her fate. She did. They were too late. He had found her and now it was over. She couldn't think of anything to do to save herself from it.

Cal swallowed, smiling slightly as she fell over. He looked to her father, who was glaring at Cal angrily and looked like he was going to rip his head off of his shoulders...Cal stood painfully, leaning against a wall for support and wincing. It still hurt...

Hecate looked up surprized at Cal. Knock it off Cal. get back down. you can't do anything to help me. The least I can do now is help you. She knew he wouldn't take it but she still had to try and convince him. It was too dangerous for him. A human couldn't possibly kill someone like her father even a demon couldn't.

Cal swallowed,You can try. Im not backing down this time. My turn to protect you.He spat mentally back at her, standing up fully and steadying himself. he kept his eyes set on her father, knowing he couldn't die...

Hecate had to think of something fast. She wasn't going to stand there and watch him get murdered. Hecate ran to him as fast as she could and threw her arms around him tightly. She could sense her father comming after her but she had to save them both. Hecate consentrated hard then teleported away with Cal. She wasn't sure at all where she had taken them but they both fell out from the sky and landed hard on the ground. She was never good with teleportion.

Cal landed on his back hard, his breath whooshing out of him...he just lay there for a moment, their arms wrapped around each other from teleportation. Cal narrowed his eyes, flipping them over and pushing her down, holding her by her shoulders, and on top now. "What the ******** was that for hecate?" he asked, practically yelling.

Hecate flinched hard when he yelled. She was afraid he was going to hit her. He was probably angry enough to consider it. "I'm sorry but I couldn't just let you fight him. You'd get hurt and it'd be my fault." She closed her eyes a bit. "I had to get us out of there."

"As if I already haven't?" he asked, not moving and just looking down at her, his anger fading as he looked over her...She looked sorry, and scared..Almost. Sorta. Cal leaned down, his anger almost forgotten because the look on her face.."I'm sorry.."he said, stroking her cheek lightly. He caught himself quickly though, looking at her and climbing off of her, standing and going to lean against a tree a few feet away..

Hecate didn't get up or move. She just layed there as if having no will. He had a right to be angry with her. She was even angry at herself. Hecate closed her eyes tightly trying to stop the tears. If none of this had happened maybe they would have been mates by now. It was too late now.

Cal's thoughts were everywhere, and he did his best to keep them out of Hecate's mind for her sake. He could see her eyes get more glassy, and he was watching her protectively. Cal scooted his way over to her, pulling her up lightly so her head was in his lap and he could stroke her hair, trying to soothe her and make her not feel so bad..."hecate..I basically asked to have the s**t beaten out of me..Im fine. And he's not here now...."Cal said in a soft voice.

Hecate was instantly soothed by him. He always had that effect on her. She calmed down after a moment and stopped crying finally. Hecate felt safe with him once again. "Forgive me Cal...I just can't do anything right it seems." She scooted closer to him.
