man this is tough 3 really really great power bands and the 3 of them are my inspirations but im gonna have to go with the one that i started with and thats iced earth and speaking of iced earth i saw ripper owens with yngwie malmsteen on saturday at the ventura theatre

There is no contest, for me. Blind Guardian's Battalions of Fear alone do it for me. That album is solid through and through, I don't think there's a single track on there that I don't enjoy.

I love Blind Guardian too. But DragonForce was with me for 6 months. That's a long time. smile And a lot of twin guitar solos. I still like them, but not as much.

As for Iced Earth, I only liked them when they were in Demons and Wizards. Now that is a good band. I nominate Demons and Wizards for the next Power Metal round please. mrgreen
