Loki scowled at Itsuki and then looked back to Kyou. "Well, there's physical differences, such as climate. Also, when we reach the borders, there's a scent marking at each one. If you know to look for the scent, it's easy to find the border."

Masao managed to keep a good distance between himself and the others, close enough he could keep them in sight while taking his time to looking about the areas they were running through. He did notice that Ryari seemed by hanging back a bit too, not taking place in the apparently speed contest that Loki was having with Itsuki.
((I won't be on much until later on tomorrow because of my work schedule. Sorry guys >_<))

Ryari glanced calmly around, and was suprised to see that Masao had lagged behind as well. She kept calm, and looked down at the ground, keeping a steady pace to keep up with Loki and Itsuki.
{Aww... Oh well, I guess it can't be helped.}

Masao glanced over at Ryari as he trotted along for a moment, lowering his head after a second to give the snow a light sniff to take in the other's scents before he turned from their trail a little to walk through a bit more himself. Ryari didn't seem to talk much, at least not past their initial contact. She had been fairly quiet after that.

Ryari looked up from the snow covered ground. She had almost lost sight of Loki, so she sped to a trot for a while to catch up. She glanced over at Masao, and wondered why he was lagging behind as well.

Loki did not fail to notice that Masao and Ryari were lagging behind somewhat. Good. More kits for Kousetsu. He grinned wickedly; he could possibly give them a little nudge in the right direction. He sped up again, putting on a burst of speed that would leave Ryari and Masao behind, confident they'd find their way back. He could send Rae and Itsuki to find them if they didn't.

Itsuki sped up. Looking back, she noticed Ryari and Masao were far behind them. Looking back at Loki, who had just suddenly sped up, she thought, 'Is he planning something...?'
