"I can't make ice cream." Lily told him, blinking, then slipped out of his hold. "Last I checked there was some chocolate in the freezer. You want some too?" she asked, heading toward the kitchen.

Lily nodded, then wandered to the kitchen. She came back out shortly, two bowls of chocolate ice cream in her hand. She set one in front of Arlen, along with a spoon, then began to eat her own, watching him.

"I dunno. I wasn't awake for most of it." Lily answered casually, shrugging her shoulders. "I slept well though. I missed you, while I was sick. I think that's why I didn't get better until now. I just couldn't sleep well enough."

"No it's not." Lily answered softly, her eyes unfocused for a moment. Then she shook herself and smiled at Arlen, leaning across the bar to kiss him lovingly. "But it will be, in time."

As soon as he was close enough, Lily reached out to hug him, clinging tightly. "I love you." she whispered, so softly he might not have been able to hear it, then looked up into his face, smiling again.

"You help me by being here." Lily whispered softly. "I don't think I could be strong without you...I probably would have just let Cerri have the original body, the one that I started in, except I didn't want to leave you."
