Neko stopped dead in his tracks and took a knee, shifting to look straight into Kyuu's eyes. He leaned forward, inches from the girls face. His voice was calm as he spoke, but the anger and ferocity could be heard, like a terrible current under a flat sea.

"You either forget or are not aware, little one, that she came to me to become stronger, and I'm certain that in your many wizened years you have learned that to make something stronger, you must tear at it and rebuild. Since she obviously neglected her physical training in this form, my actions may cause a little more harm than they should. For that, I will not apologize. If you will not stand back and allow it, then try to strike me down now, for our enemies will not pull their punches nor stay their blades, and they will slay her where she stands."

He turned his head upwards and to the side, eyes still locked with Kyuu. He was exposing his neck to her.

"So, if you are so concerned with protecting her, perhaps you should not have coddled her while we were separated. And never confuse an order with a plea. She is likely the only one I would let kill me if I'm in a bloodlust, and if she hesitates, I will slaughter her, and that is something that neither you nor I wishes to happen. So before you lecture me on care, take one insignificant ******** step back and look at the bigger picture, then tell me how much care I am showing by giving her that blade and strengthening her resolve, you whelp."

He didn't seem to pay much mind to Ishira overhearing him. He was as much explaining this to her as he was to Kyuu.

"You forget that many of the enemies we face do not wish her death but yours and they just wish to capture her. It is not my job to protect her which you have seemed to forgotten since the last you saw of me i was only a child with no power at all and i would still be if Ishira had not cast off the Light and Darkness. You were the one who assigned yourself to protecting her when your love for her gained a place in her heart and bed! How is it I the child of you both can find and watch her while you live in your self pity and do not even send one that you can trust to protect her. She has trained in ways that you do not see and instead of looking at her as the person you love you continue to act like shes just the child you constantly have to teach. Goddess knows why she loves a man like you but i will be sure that she no longer lives in your lies and darkness. You have trapped her by using her love for you as an excuse to continue to keep her around and in danger. Have you never considered that her love is why she wishes not to kill you? Have you even considered her past she has told you so much about? She is demon and she hides herself for you so she will not kill you and you will not give her the respect but throwing a stupid knife in her mortal chest and justify the hurt by saying she should have known better. She is your lover not your student anymore and you have known that since you first bedded her so stop with your excuses and give her what she wants and deserves!" Kyuu was screaming by this point, ignoring his threats and the way he looked as if he would strike her down. She did not care, she only cared for the woman that was her mother now and if she could not get Neko to see that then she would take her. She would take Ishira to the enemies he spoke of and at least they would care for the mother figure better than he ever had. Her breathing was coming in pants and she wanted to step back and hide from him but mother figure was human and she could not protect her... But the shadows and light could, if needed.... "She deserves to know you love her even outside your bedchambers.. Not that she has failed you when in truth that is all you have done to her..."

She moved quickly, getting between the two and putting her back to Neko. Her hands were on Kyuus shoulders and pushing her slightly away before lifting one hand to the childs lips.
"Enough Kyuu.... You dont need to do this, its our issue and i understand your need to express what i cant but... Its not needed right now, other things are of more importance..." Though she didnt say she wasnt right.... Her heart was aching to here those words from Neko but she knew he wasnt like that at all and so she couldnt ask him for it... She wanted to be more than his student and it hurt each time she thought she was only that to him unless they were... doing other things. Her cheeks tingled with the threat of a blush but she shook it away. She couldnt look at Neko though, not after Kyuu had clearly dragged thoughts from her mind and expressed them in such a way... "We need to go..." Her voice cracked but she smiled up at daughter.

It was certainly a sight seeing Neko and Matariel. It had been a little while. Kwuabara's hand went down to his leg where Neko had placed the symbol in his leg. He itched it a bit before noticing the one of the birds land on the balcony. It was rather strange. The eyes shifted from green to almost human. That was not normal and he knew it. Slowly, he reached for the bird. Not to catch it but to see what it would do. It was weird and needed to be examined a bit. The eclipse and now the birds. It was turning into an Alfred Hitchcock movie with each passing second.

"Neko dont... thats not what you think it means. " She turned, knowing he was going to take it badly even when she could barely hear what he was saying. But he was already turned away from her his voice changing and making her want to flinch away. She refused to be afraid though and she went to reach for him . "Please dont.." But then he was gone, away from her again, leaving her in the hands of others. She felt her tears well up and her jaw stiffened as she tried not to let them out. Hell it didnt help that Matariel spoke.

"If i wasnt human id be destroying everything now just to get a hold of him again but im human and im stuck with a stupid a** seal on my back like a huge target and the man i love just listened to part of conversation he wont even speak to me about. So my thoughts are just on leaving this damned place again since coming back didnt seem to help at all." Then she turned on Kyuu. "Before you decide whats best for me and sharing any thoughts i had with the rest of the world, remember why i dont let you in my mind right now and that if i were any more than human i would have put you in your place. Now you either get Neko back for me or you do as you were ordered and sit in that damn inn until Nate gets back." And with that she walked away from all of them, tears streaming down her face and head down as she tried not looking at the moon again.

Oh how Kyuu wanted to go further off on Neko as he obviously took what mother figure said wrong but she had little time to do it and it slipped past her quickly. But the sorrow that the mother figure let out was what had truly stopped her and she swallowed down her words as she knew the woman would soon go off. When Neko left, mother figures composure left with him. She flinched when the woman turned to her and made sure to keep her mouth shut as she went off. only nodding til the sealed demon left. Then she slumped and looked at the father figures toy in front of her.
"Tis my fault by my lies but can you say that they are any better together? You have seen your master fail because of her and i have seen her falter and ultimately crash because of her love for him. Together they can not be who they are meant to be... You see that do you not?"

"It is for them to decide but both you and i have watched even when their decisions were wrong, like now. I do remember love, and just like you i feel it through my master as it grows for him. But i have also seen what it has done to her... Why she left and why when she has just come back that it should be made evident that he still cares. Did she not leave with fear he did not share the same passion that she did? Only to come back and be reminded that his thoughts are not of the reason she left but rather the reason she is back... She is an older demon, but like the rest of us she wishes to be reminded she is loved in the simplest ways... Why should we continue to let them scrape at each other like this, when simple words with little truth can make them run from each other... " Kyuu sighed, looking at the back of her mother figure as she continued to walk away. She had just reason did she not? All she was seeing was this broken woman now, not the strong demon as before. "There is little to fear of either of them now..."

"Other than the lady Ishira...." Kyuu mumbled, turning and looking at the mother figures back. s**t....She needed to get the stupid man back before the mother figure did something stupid herself.... Sighing she looked slightly back at the other woman again.
"Your Adam may only think of the future but where has he put her in it? She is not like any of us, she is mot part of the plan or an important part of it. And in the end shes going to end up alone again.... Neko knows this but does not share with her on whether or not he will change it.... I know we should stop whatever he is going to do but what if its for the better of them?"

"But she will be alone sooner if he does not stop... He is dying, everyone can see it and instead of exploring the options to increase his life with her, he head on goes into battle to weaken his body more. We may all end up alone, but few of us end up alone after finding new love... She has many times and i am unsure she can survive this time.... " Kyuu sighed and shook her head before letting her speckled wings form on her back. She looked to Ishira and then to the direction she felt the father figure.... What if she didnt convince him enough? What if he didnt feel the need to follow her? Then would leaving the human mother alone be worth it.. She closed her eyes trying to reach out to the mother but hitting a barrier... Either way if she didnt present Neko, the mother figure would have nothing to do with her.

Matariel lets her head hang a little lower at Kyuu's words. She can't help but laugh.

"You know very little of Adam and his condition. He's going out to do exactly what you want him to, exactly what he needs to do to stay with Ishira. That may mean leaving her now, but that was her choice. I wasn't left here to chat with you..."

She tapped her temple as she looked at the girl, then to Ishira. She noticed the crow and closed her eyes, trying to get a 'lock' on it, to peer into it's mind.
