"No...I'm back because the God I worship...chose to send me back. It's not something you want, believe me. it's like a punishment. I die..I suffer the pain, the fear..and then you go back..restore to life again knowing that you can suffer even more."
He was eating what he was fed, making faces on occasion. he much prefered strawberries or grapes.
"Your mother is in a place nothing can hurt her anymore. there's no pain, there is no fear or hate or anger. it is a paradise. someplace that I will never go to."
Onyx, flipped up his daggers, blades down and held them light and nimbly.
"what the hell do you mean blind it?! the damn thing has eight eyes..and look at it it takes up the whole passage."
Fangs flared out..a bit of aim...one dagger flew twoard an eye, the other..well he was hoping that one was going to go down it's throat.
"Piper..um...you got good enough sight for that bow, right?"

You see, that was what she was talking about. Big a** dangerous spider. "Right, let's all try to not get poisoned shall we."She looked to Onyx. "That's like asking if a fish can swim." A few words to Serino backed him up some, and she pulled her bow off her back. Grabbing one of those mithril tipped arrows as well as one she had been fletching earlier, she grabbed her light stone and ripping the twining from the one arrow, using it to tie the little light source to the mithril one. Then she reached over to Onyx, taking his and tying that one on as well. In a way it was a crude light arrow sorts. "Can't fight what we can't see and what can't see, can't fight." Piper brought the stone close to her eyes, holding it there a moment before the gold flecks in her eyes seemed to catch the light and not let go of if, making the gold glow eerily in the dark. Little moon elf trick she learned from her father... the gold captured light and would help increase vision in the dark...of course it had a nasty backlash effect, but she'd deal with that later. In Piper's vision...it looked like plain daylight to her now. Every detail, every surface and crevice. Notching her arrow she picked out a target. No guarantee she could kill the thing with one shot, but she could give it one hell of a headache, so her target then? Well, spiders had eyes in sets...she'd just land an arrow between the sets of four. Thus that spider would have that little makeshift light arrow jammed right in it's vision field. Blind it? Hell, that would suffice. And she released that arrow, actually squinting slightly against her own vision. Hopefully her marksmanship wouldn't crap out on her now.

Ear piercing shreak. The arrow did go a tad of it's mark, imbedding itself into one of the left eye sockets. One of the little globes was burried in the flesh of the ball, but the other stuck out, still on the arrow shaft. The spider's legs were too long to bat the thing away, and hr pincers to short to chop the thing off. She swung out and wildly, lunging at whatever she thought might be a target.
Moonstone was hit by a leg, thrown backwards, his daggers thrown out of his grasp. He got up, but things were a blurr. Spiders were scampering everywhere, and his freinds, even Warren, were fighting this giant spider.
The buzzing sound was getting louder...and seemed to be travling towards them now.
Littel tears leaked out, spilled over he cheeks and onto the bed sheets. "I miss Mommy. Mommy says all families are un...united when we die, cause no matter if we were good or bad, all of our souls share a common longing to live, and be together." She sniffed, not really bothering to try and whip the tears away. "I miss my Mommy, Mr. Malik."

"Oloth zhah tu' abbil, lu' ogglinn...darkness is both friend, an enemy. for me, the darkness is not going to be pleasent. for you, you will b ebrought back to the ones you care for."
A small grin.
"Piper changed parts of me from what I was. before I would never have been kind..or known love..not without some advantage to me in it. and now here I am, laying dying of a poison, other giong after a cure, and being taken care of by a little girl who should hate me for a thousand reasons. Ironic."
"Anyone notice the buzzing is moving..and heading this way?"
Onyx was smashing little spiders left and right, and after really risking his neck getting close enough to graps his daggers..was killing the larger ones too. he didn't have a bite, but had a few good sized cuts from those clawtips on the end of those spiderlegs. Ears moving from side to side, trying to pinpoint direction before heading to his brother and helping him up.
"Okay now that we have a giant, blind, pissed off spider and a hundred or more little ones..anyone got any new ideas?"

"It is indeed coming this way, question is, is that good or bad?" Piper was busy using all her years or archery, firing off arrows with deadly aim to where she wanted them. Currently she was working on pinning giant spider legs to the walls. Yay mithril tipped arrows. "Well, we can either pin this thing down all the way and climb over it, or kill it and climb over. Either method, it's in our way." Serino was even doing his part, stomping things and the like. Setting off another arrow, she looked to the little group, her vision starting go get slightly blurry. "Warren. You're native here, be useful. And try to be so before I go blind."

Warren was doing what he could, but he only had a short sailors dirk, and his magic wasn''t working, though he hd been trying to use it. "I...."
But his words did not leave his mouth, the buzzing had reached a fever pitch, and the caves were suddenly lit wiht the red brilliance of hot flame. Little spiders hissed and popped as their little bodies boiled, then exploded. The larger ones more or less just caght on fire, and then scampered away to there holes. The largest one had no choice but to burn to death, it''s legs being stuck on the wall. The area was filled with the acrid smell of burnt flesh.
They saw the eyes first, two yellow glwoing pinprics that grew larger, until the falming charcase of the spider light up an enormous green dragon. He was the color of pine trees, and had a pair of ram''s horns on his head. He closed his mouth, and the horrible buzzing stopped. Any spiders and bugs left that had not burned scampered away.
A voice followed up from behind the dragon.
"Oh, for the love of all that is holy, Tanundra! Would you shut up?" The dragon looked at her, eyes wide and staring. "What? They are here already?" She turned her face on them. Here eyes were milky white, her hair a long shiny blond color, streaked here and there with white. he wore a simple black dress that covered her from neck to ankle.
She looked right past them all, then turned on her heel. "Very well then, come one. We haven''t got all day have we? Tanudra, clean up that mess, will you?" The dragon set in to eating the burnt spider.
"My brothers told me that you weren''t the same Mr. Malik. So I shouldn''t hate you until you do something that I am supposed to hate you for." Then a puzzled frown. "Why won''t you go there? I don''t exists in your home, what if your god doesn''t exist here? If you died here, you'' go to the same place Mommy is, right?"

Damn light! Stop shifting. The backlash to her problem? Any light intenser than the one she used would in effect cause a sort of blindness to her until the effect wore off. And dragon fire? Ow, that hurt the eyes. Though she let her vision refocus just in time to catch the woman calling them after her. So what? Thar was the oracle? Okay...Though she didn't follow immediately, no. She went about a few moments picking up arrows and pulling them from their embedded places. And then she threw a look to the others. "Well...that was....lucky I guess. Better catch up to her." Back on Serino again, urging him forward.

Around the next corner was a house. That's right, a house in the caves. It was old, made of red brick. The shutters and gables were all done in black, making the building seem sinister and eerie. There was an alcove to the left filled with what looked like old parts of blankets and clothing, obviously where the dragon slept. There was a long veranda, spotted here and there with a few tables, some chairs, and a swinging love seat. The Oracle, though blind, found the steps with ease and climbed up them.
Most thought the Oracle an old lady, perhaps from the stories told about her. But she looked no older then twenty-five. Boots with long, pointed heals made clicking noises as she walked.
Inside was quiant, and not near as eerie except for various dead things hanging by their feet near the hearth. A large caldron bubbled there, filling the room with the sweet scent of roses. A wooden table marked with the use of knives, a sofa and round carpet, a book shelf, and where ver there was space there were cupboards. A set of stairs led down into a cellar, a set ran up to what was obviously a bedroom of sorts.
It had an air of being well lived in, but seemed to not have been used in some time. Dust covered most of everytihng but the table.
The woman stuck her head out the door, hollering after the littleg roup. "Well? Come on then! I was under the impression that you don't have a lot of time."

Time to put on a brave face. Getting Serino to a stop she dismounted and walked slowly up to the veranda, looking around some. This was indeed quite odd. Out of a swarm of deadly spiders into a place that seemed rather quaint and safe from harm at that...was probably the dragon. But even the dragon seemed harmless in his own respects. Taking her bandana back out of her pocket she tied it around her ears once more to hide them. Running and through her hair she stepped inside as the oracle beckoned, but cringed slightly and had to shade her eyes with her hand. Oh this was going to be fun...Piper had no idea how long this was going to last, but she did know that it would just have to ride its course though. Which meant the gold in her eyes still glowed brightly...that was the indicator to how long the effect would last...she knew she should of learned how to ease the effect off.

Moonstone, Onyx, and Warren all followed Piper in. The dragon too, romped up behind them, and started his buzzing noises again. They heard the scampering of bugs, as they all came back, but did not approach the house itself. Moonstone just stepped inisde the doorway, but wasn't comfortable with moving any further into the house. They had just come to ask her for something after all, they weren't friends.
Warren was looking around the place with a little frown on his face. "My father said you were an older woman. But you look quite young."
"Who is speaking? Shut up now." She sat at her table, took out a handful of colored stones form a puch at her side, and threw them across them the table top. "You," she pointed at Piper. "I can see you. Sit down here," she gestured to a chair on the other side of her. "and Please, don't move anything."

Wait? She could see her? The woman was obviously blind...but then Piper squinted down at the amulet she had looped around her forearm. Maybe that? Taking a moment she walked around the room and sat where she was told to sit. Half of her thought that this woman already knew what she was here for. Though she sat in the chair so that her back was to the hearth, sparing her eyes from bringing on her own temporary blindness. She needed to see right now. Yet that gold fire still shone bright in her eyes. And she was quiet, just watching and listening for the moment.

She took a moment, studied the coloured stones on the table. Then, she picked them up and threw them again. She did this aobut five times, each tiem the stones landed in the same place.
She sighed and sat back on her chair. "Well now." She hummed a moment. "You have about a day, I would think. twenty-four hours from...oh I'd say" she peared at the stones, "ten minutes ago. Twentey-four hours before he loses his mind beyond my repaire." The she scowled. "Put that amulet on so I can see your face, dear. Your arm, while beautiful in it's own way, does not give me what I need."

Opps, silence broken. "Twenty-four hours before what?!" Not that she didn't hear her, it was more of shock than anything. That little outburst was accompanied by her hand hitting tha table as well as herstanding up. But of course she knew that that wasn't doing anything good, other than pissing off the oracle maybe. Untangling the amulet, she put it on like it was supposed to be worn and also took her seat once more, trying to keep herself calm this time. "Then you do know what we're here for. Now the question is, will you help..."

The Oracle remained calm through the outburst. Even a little ghost of a smile on her face. "Yes, twentey-four hours." Then the smikled broke out. "Ah, that is muhc better. What a lovely face you have. The ear, rather intriging you know. I wou;dn't cover it if I were you." She stood clasped her ahnds behind her back. One would think that she should be perhaps looking out a window, contemplateing. but there were no windows, and the Oracle could not look at anything besides Piper. "Under normal circumstances, no I would not help you. Not until you completed a few stasks, brought me a few important objects, and should tiem run out," she shrugged. "Those are the rules. I am not supposed to give any answers withoput first th asker proving themselves.." She picked up a red coloured stone. "But these are not normal circumstances. You are not normal."

At the mentioning of her ear she reached a hand up and touch where the bandana she wore covered it over. Good lord, the woman didn''t hardly seem blind...blind was not the word that Piper would ever use for this woman. Though now she really had her attention, speaking of a change in circumstance. A glance to the woman, who was now holding onto a red stone. "I am...not normal?" Okay, in what sense, elven appearance sense she could see, mixed blood, she could see. But this woman could hardly know of her parentage. "What do you mean?"
