((Stuff with Kira happens tomorrow, and I thought you said something about JB coming for Rain. Let's do one day first, then we'll make a bigger hop and really try to get things rolling, okay? Seems to me we have to cover that bit first.))

((Okay. So we'll hop to tomorrow and do stuff with Kira and probably JB. 3nodding Then think about bigger timewarps.
Rain is very welcome. 3nodding Owle likes him, and trusts him (though she has the feeling he might get himself killed one of these days.) The Firebrand is home to many freeloaders...Owle herself included. sweatdrop Lack of income is not a problem here.))

((I suppose I'll kick it off then.))
Sunlight crept across the room, gently rousing Kira's sleeping form in its path. Her green eyes flickered open, unable to focus for a moment. When the delicate muscles finally allowed her to see, she stared at the ceiling.
... Morning?
A fear tightened around her chest, quickening her heart even as her breathing slowed. Jerking herself upright, she glared around the empty room, suspicious of everything. This place was entirely unfamiliar to her and she wasn't used to waking somewhere that she hadn't fallen asleep. Looking around, she saw that her pack was missing. All of her possessions were within that ragged pack! For all she knew, her precious things were in the grubby hands of some common thief. The thought infuriated her.
Slipping out of the bed, she stole to the door and peeked out, wondering what kind of trouble awaited her outside.

It did not take long for her to find trouble outside. Though it wasn't as much trouble as Rain, and not as such outside as immediately outside her door. But she found it.
Rain would have spent the night in a meditative stance on the floor of the hallway, his back resting against her door. He had checked on Kira several times over the course of the day, but saw no real improvement of her condition. He had planned on taking her to a hospital in the morning.
Now, Rain was trained in martial and mystical arts, but he was hardly a master. Which is why he had fallen asleep, rather than stayed merely in a restful meditative state all night. So he had no prior warning that she was up and about in her room, and when she opened the door, whether slowly or quickly...
WHUUUMP! He fell backwards, his head bonking against the floor between her feet, the sudden strike jolting him awake.
... hopefully Kira was dressed in such a way that wouldn't result in Rain's death sentence from this angle...

With a growl of surprise, Kira jumped back out of range of the thing that had fallen into the room. She immediately assumed a half-crouch guard, unsure of what had come at her-- until she looked long enough to realize that it was a man on the floor.
A big man. Much bigger than her, though that isn't too difficult to accomplish. Having no idea of his intentions, she stayed away and kept her guard. Especially since he was blocking the only way out of the room. A quick glance gave her full stock and inventory of any possible weapons in the room; sadly, the closest thing to a weapon she could wield would be a wooden chair.
The man wouldn't get any sort of compromising view; Kira had been put to bed fully dressed and hadn't altered that. A dark green long-sleeved shirt and a pair of faded black trousers were the main components of her garb.
She would wait tensely, hoping that he would want to avoid confrontation, possibly even let her pass without trouble.

He slowly clambered to his hands and and knees, stopping to rub the sore spot on the back of his head.
"Yeah, good morning to you too." he muttered, not looking at her, as he gradually rose to his feet before meeting her eyes.
"Did you sleep well?" He was back a step from the doorway, not blocking it. In situations like this, people tended to act like a caged animal of they were boxed in an unfamiliar setting. Until he learned how she would react, he was not as of yet planning on stopping her if she wanted to make a run for it. He even crossed his arms over his chest to seem a little less threatening but still just as capable.

"Where am I?" she demanded, ignoring his question.
Even though he wasn't in the way of the door, she still had to get within his reach to make an exit. In her opinion, she'd rather take a flying leap out a window-- at least until she knew what was going on.
Speaking of which, she had holes in her memory. She remembered the wolf-- and just as quickly pushed him from her thoughts. Then a redhead, and searing pain. That was where the hole started; it didn't end until she'd just woken up. For her, that seemed like a great deal of time to have missed out on and she didn't like it one iota.
"What happened? Who are you?" she asked with more softness to her voice. Her body language screamed uncertainty, while the man, though obviously not trying to hurt her, still looked as though he were trying to intimidate the hell out of her. Kira wasn't impressed.

"You're currently at the Firebrand Tavern, 2nd floor, room 7. As for what happened, I'm not entirely sure. You were attacking this injured red-head from Team Glacier at the Stadium, then people knocked you out, somehow. To make sure you wouldn't get hurt, you got pulled aside, but then people started to disperse, and I didn't want to leave you there to be taken advantage of. So I brought you here." he explained, smiling. It was a friendly smile, to try to ease her worry and discomfort.
"As for who I am..." he started, uncrossing his arms. "I am..." He put his left hand on his hip, and turned the right side of his body toward Kira, pointing upwards towards the ceiling dramatically. "The indominatable, the unbelievable, the extraordinary RAIN YUPA! Perhaps you've heard of me?" He smiled broadly, and held his dramatic stance.

His explanation confused her and her face showed it; eyes narrowed under furrowed brows as Kira attempted to recall the bits of information that seemed foreign. However, that confusion would quickly turn to uncertain surprise at the man's odd maneuver.
"Perhaps you've heard of me?"
She took a few wary steps toward him as he held his pose, then promptly sniffed his chest region.
"No," she said firmly, without much emotion. At that, she turned and walked out the door, having gained as much information from him as she believed he had. Unless he forcibly prevented her, she would make her way downstairs, mentally searching for the presence that still left traces of itself in her mind.

Rain gonked as she responded with a simple "no", and she slipped out the door he was standing near, and started down the hallway.
"H-hey! Should you really be up and about like this so soon? You were really sick yesterday; your body had a chill that we couldn't get rid of. You almost died!" he exclaimed, starting to follow her in a hurry in case she fell or something.

Partway down the stairs, she abruptly spun around in response to his cries. If he wasn't paying close attention, he would crash into her and send the both of them flying down the rest of the flight.
If he did manage to stop in time, her hands would immediately slip under the hem of his shirt to rest against his stomach. They would be as cold as ice. Her green eyes bored up into his, face totally blank.

No free stair-tumbling rides for Kira and Rain! He would indeed stop in time, not following her that closely. He still saw how explosive her temper was back at the Stadium the day before, so he knew better.
Still, the hand that would graze his stomach would cause him to jump back, startled. His eyes would quickly shoot down at her hand, then up at her face, concern clearly visible in his features. "You're still cold! You should get back to bed before your fever or whatever you have gets worse. Don't try walking yet; if there's something you need, I can go get it for you!"
He would extend a hand out to her, to help her up the stairs as if she was incapable of doing so herself. He knew that wasn't the case, but for all he knew, she could pass out at any moment, and going up stairs was a lot more strenuous to a feverish person than going down.

Kira quickly removed her hands from his reach, sighing lightly. They were tucked into her trouser pockets, hopefully safe from any kind of capture. She took a moment to blow a lock of her sandy hair off of her forehead.
"Thank you for your concern, but I am not ill. This is my normal body temperature," she vaguely explained. She didn't quite know how to tell him the full story and hoped he would take her explanation at face value. If absolutely necessary, she would make an attempt at the whole truth, but she decided she'd rather not.
Turning away once more, she continued on down the stairs.

((I...guess we're not waiting for Luke, then. sweatdrop I kind of wanted to hear from everyone before we skipped forward...but I guess it's too late for that now.
Luke, you can assume that you have in fact been given a room for the night, and wake up with us all the next morning. My intention was for you to be allowed to give your opinion on the time skip before it took place, but I guess people didn't realize you hadn't gotten a chance to speak yet. redface I'm sorry.
IC post from me tomorrow.))

(Muwahaha! >:3 Zoom zoom, to the future!)
Luke would frown, thinking on that one for a moment...
"I just didn't watch my words. I hurt yer ma's feelings, though I didn't intend to do so." He'd lean forward, ruffling Rand's hair before standing up with a yawn. "Well, bucko, I've been walking quite some time, and I'm quite needing of a full night on a real mattress. Perhaps we can have some sort of contest on the morrow."
