Rin blinked, and rubbed lightly at her eyes, the other hand still gently clutching the bear. She shifted her gaze from him, to the window as he pointed at it, and stared for a moment before slowly nodding her head. "Yeah..." she agreed quietly.
Then her attention switched back to him again at the comment about herself. She feel silent, seeming to ponder it for a moment, and then nodded yet again. "I guess that's true," she agreed once more. She actually felt better than she had in a while too, more relaxed and less tense and stressed. She would've said something about his comment of her holding his hand, but she was kind of in a good mood and didn't really feel like it.
Rin still didn't sit up though, partly because she really was comfortable at the moment. But, there was another reason as well. It was a secret, because no one had ever been willing to do it and she'd been too stubborn to ask, but she liked it when people played with her hair. But again, she wasn't going to admit that aloud.

"You look alot healthier now," Long said as he looked down at the resting Rin. He figured that she was now well enough to talk to him about things concerning her pendant. He sat up and now used both his hands to twiddle about in her hair making several unique hair designs, some similar to what most people had seen on tv and such. He was now being just playful, and very comforting at the moment.
"So, did anything happen in your sleep that I should know about?" Long asked out of the blue. He was especially curious now that Rin had slept well that she seemed peaceful. He did however wonder if her dreams allowed the ghost to contact her in any way now. Based on his previous meet ups with the ghost, they took place whenever Rin was tired or sleepy or alone in some cases. He wasn't very out and clear, but he was getting somewhere with his experimentations and theories now. He then lifted Rin's hair to mimic her pigtails from before. It was odd to see how someone with Long's intelligence be amused by simple things. It was probably the simplicity of his life now, or it could be something he ate, but he was never this playful.

Rin nodded slightly again, watching out of the corner of her eye as he messed with her hair. She still didn't move though, just lying along the length of the couch rather than staying curled up like she usually did. Both her hands were at her chest now, hugging the bear to herself as she stayed completely silent, just watching him as he shifted her hair into different positions.
Even after his question, she hesitated for a moment. Then, very slowly, she opened her mouth to reply. "I ignored her this time," she began quietly, glancing from her hair back to his face. "It's always..." She frowned, trailing off. It felt odd, since she'd never told anyone this before. It was a secret that she kept to herself, what went on inside her head, and during her dreams. But she guessed... if he had any foul intentions they would've shown themselves by now. She hadn't seen any hint, so... she guessed he could be trusted. This meant a lot, coming from her.
"It's always a dark room," she said, starting again. "Everything's black. I can't see the floor or walls, but I can feel them. I'm always sitting in a corner, huddled up. Then she appears and walks towards me, and sits down beside me. She places her arms around my shoulders and just... whispers in my ear. She won't shut up. She just says whatever it is I don't want to hear, and she repeats it over and over and over..." Rin had shut her eyes while she spoke, and now they were tightly closed, her grip more firm around the bear. "But this time... I ignored her, and she couldn't do anything. She was getting angry and she started shaking me, but I still ignored her."
Her tone shifted towards the end, from a slight feeling of fear, to a small feeling of pride. But, it was only a slight feeling of fear to begin with, because his playing with her hair really was somehow quite soothing.

"Ignoring is always a good first step..." Long said giving a smile relieved that Rin was now improving with her conditions. He lightly crossed about her hair with hsi fingers running out of ideas and hairstlyes to experiment with, "Takes alot of guts to tell a guy about what a you dream about you know?" Long smirked lightly.
"Hehe, was she pissed?" Long said as he continued, "If she was, it means we're both doing something right now...". He absorbed the information in his ears paying attention to every little detail Rin was giving. It almost sounded as if this thing was feeding of Rin's feeling of doubt and despair at this point since it seemed to only appear when Rin seemed alone.
"She didn't do anything to you...So, what we have is a word player...She is amost certainly using words and discouragement to get you to feel uncertain about everything you have done...This means she really doesn't have any power over you...she only has power when she can make you feel doubt your own abilities... and that is no hard problem to solve Rin...I'm glad that you are now confident, and that you aren't lowering yourself because of her..." Long stated his thoughts. His conclusions were almost precise, maybe even on the dot now. His analytcal mind was the main power to help fuel Rin's mind and esteem until she herself could be strong and ablaze like wildfire.
Long's intuition and logic was becoming more and more clearer as he had been around Rin. He wasn't quite clear about some things, but in this case he was now more of the mastermind of this whole idea. He lightly stroked Rin's hair and lifted her up gently as he pulleda pillow from the couch to rest her head upon, "So do you think the next time you see her, will you be able to overcome her make her the one to be seated in the corner?" Long asked confidently with a rather valourious tone.

Rin wrinkled her nose slightly, hiding her face against the Teddy bear. "It wasn't anything embarrassing though," she mumbled, voice slightly muffled against it. But since he'd pointed it out, it was suddenly becoming a little bit. She honestly hadn't realized that until just now.
Then, after a moment, she pulled it away and looked back at him. She nodded her head in reply. Yes... the spirit had definitely gotten angry, to the point where her soothing whisperings had become enraged screaming and her soft touch had become slightly painful. Only now that she was awake, there was no physical damage, or at least she didn't feel or see any, so she assumed she was perfectly fine. It was just a dream, right?
She listened quietly to his words, and then shifted her gaze back to the bear. That sounded about right... based on everything she'd experienced so far. The spirit liked to speak of her thoughts, doubts, regrets... and basically make her feel like crap. Once she'd lowered Rin's esteem enough, her walls crumbled and the spirit gained easy control of her body to do with as she pleased. Right now, she was extremely jealous because her reason for suicide had been because her husband had walked out on her, or something like that. Rin was never really informed of the details and had just figured this out on her own. So, now that Rin was actually meeting someone, the spirit was definitely extremely jealous.
She closed her eyes for a moment as Long shifted her slightly, and then reopened them a few seconds after his question. "I'm not..." she began, but then bit her lip as she trailed off. "I mean... I'll try."

"Hehe," Long laughed lightly once more as he now loomed down on Rin with his head. As he thought, this was the one time he decided to stay around and not disappear to leave a person behind. He only swayed his head over her forhead moving some of her hair out of the way. Long was definetly making some progress with absolutely nothing but his mind in play.
"That almost sounded a little bit unsure..." Long said as he gave her a light tap with his fingers on her forehead. He was nostalgic and uncanny, not to mention a bit of a cold and unforeseeing person when he met her. Who knew that he would turn out like this? He himself was also wonderous as to how he would help Rin deal with her spirit next. He had also been wondering what and how Rin really felt on the inside. She had this thing around her neck most of her life, it might have effected her and those around her up until now. She was probably different if she didn't have the pendant around her neck, but this time Rin was open with her abilities as a person.
"So...You wanna go get something to eat out? Or would you prefer to eat here at home?" Long said as he placed his hand over his stomach and following that a rather large growl from the bowels of his stomach. This hunger had seemed to break Long's concentration of thought.

Rin frowned at the laugh, staring straight up at him as she remained where she was, laying along the couch. Her nose wrinkled slightly again when he shifted her hair, but she wasn't going to complain because.. it honestly didn't bother her all that much.
"Just a little though," she replied with a small nod of her head. Until now, she'd just ignored the spirit and been happy when she managed to do that. But to actually overcome her? That thought hadn't even occurred to Rin yet. How would she manage something like that? She shifted slighlty in place, and pushed away the thoughts for now. After all, she had until the next time she chose to sleep to figure it out, which should be tonight, unless something happened before then. She hoped it wouldn't but, then again, this school was a little unpredictable at times.
Her eyes wandered towards Long's stomach at the growl, then curiously to his belt for just a second before she looked back to his face. "I don't know what I have," she replied, waving a hand slightly towards the kitchen. "Nor what I even want."
She let her mind wander a bit after that, eyes blank upon the ceiling above, suddenly realizing something. When they'd first met, hadn't he made it clear he wasn't helping her? She couldn't help wondering now why he'd changed his mind. Was it because the spirit had come out in front of him? If that was the reason, then she was sure the spirit was hating herself at the moment...

Long frowned himself back into his zombified stare looking down at a resting Rin. He then poked at Rin in the forehead this time, but this time kept at it with a very slow pace and had his arm out with his finger pointing down and going back and forth like a up and down see-saw, "Rin...I am poking your head...and if it continues I will add 1% more of my strength every 5 strokes...eventually my strength will be at 5% out of 100%, which is enough to drill through your skull..." Long said as he gave a dreaded smiling look signaling that he was being very serious.
"What will you do now? And after you escape my arm?" Long paused his right arm for a moment. Awaiting Rin's answer, Long gave a rather devilish smirk. This was rather, surprising, Long was trying to coax Rin into fighting him now. But for the moment he was goading her to do so... "Well? Do I have to show you this?" Long said as he reached over to grab a peace of carded stock paper from the side desk with his right arm. With the flick of his left index finger at the bottom of the 8x11 sheet it split from the bottom to the top on its own after his finger made a contact tap with the paper.
"If you don't move fast enough, you'll die..." Long said as he discarded the paper and extended his arm back into position over her forehead, "Better not hold back because I am your friend..." Long forewarned her as he then continued his prodding, this time reaching 5 strokes. If Rin didn't move she would feel what it was like receive a bee sting, after that, it would feel like a punch, following that, it would feel like a hammer, and finally a bullet. Long, this time was using different type of lesson, it was more centered around the physical and shock therapy. He knew very well that Rin wouldn't incorporate this as a lesson.
"And if you decide to fight back...I want you to hit me as hard as you can... " Long almost answered ahead as he now was ready to come down with the next poke, this one being his first hit with a power at 2% of his total strength.

Rin blinked a couple times, bright eyes widening as she stared. What had he just said? She shifted slightly, pressing herself back a little more firmly into the couch, attempting to lean away from him. Of course, that didn't work very well. She stared at him for a moment, studying his face, and soon decided he did seem to be serious.
Her eyes followed as he grabbed up the piece of paper, and then split it longways as if it were nothing. Her eyes widened even further. It'd looked like he'd simply tapped it. How'd he...? She knew he was strong but... drill through her head? "Wh-what are you...?" she began, trailing off again as she heard the word die, followed shortly by a small fit of laughter, echoing through her head.
For a moment she froze, and then she quickly tried to slip forward, squirming down the couch so her head would fall off the headrest and Long would hit that instead of her. Meanwhile, her head would land on the actual seat, and then she'd tried to sit up, or roll off the couch after that.
"I don't fight!" she protested, voice nearly a shout. "I don't know how!" Yeah... she guessed it probably would be a good idea to start keeping a spirit with her. Preferably a strong one. Of course, thinking about that now was kind of pointless. In any case, her peaceful mood of seconds before had been destroyed.

"Sooo...You're a pacifist?" Long said as he halted and took a thought. He then stuck his arms back in his pockets and exhaled, "Well I guess this lesson was a total bust..." Long sighed as he looked at Rin, "Well, we might as well get breakfast after you wash up..." Long said as he turned his head and looked at the window. He took a breath and simply went back to his zombie stare, "Plans don't go as planned anyway".
"I guess I will teach you how to fight..." Long said as he stretched about crossing his arms in various places. This might have been a new idea that Long introduced, but at the moment it was too much for Rin. He lightly smiled to let her know that it was, after all a lesson, he tried to make it serious...but maybe it seemed alittle to overboard for Rin.
"I'm just strong..." Long answered plainly as he lightly moved and stretched his wrist as he then looked over at Rin who was apparently confused by his abilities, all he had was superstrength, an untireable stamina level, and his absorbing mind and eyes. He then lightly spoke, "I'm sorry about that, didn't mean to scare you, I assumed you were ready for something like that..." Long answered as he walked over to Rin and patted her lightly on the head, "Go wash up and we'll go..." He finished as he gave her a reassuring smile. At the same time, his smiles were always have normal, and half ominous, so it was hard to tell if he was being friendly or mischevious. But this was Long, he was a bit of both, and that he was not as normal as he claimed to be. Most people would find him oafish when he was being friendly, and others would see him as rather gallant when he was being mischevious.

Rin stared at him for a few seconds, neither moving nor saying a thing. It was... another lesson? Of course. She should've realized that. He wouldn't have really done anything, right? She let out a sigh, a frown back upon her face. It wasn't that she was a pacifist though. She really was a princess, and she was spoiled. She'd asked her mother once if she could be taught, and her mother's answer had been firm.
She didn't fight. The guards fought for her. The only way she fought was if she used a ghost that was well trained in that area or had some powers she could borrow and use for herself. On her own, she was completely useless. It seemed that was dangerous for places like this, even if it was a school. That thought, of course, just reminded her of the scars she'd recieved back at Ria, and got her wondering again how exactly it'd come about.
Her eyes closed for a moment when he patted her on the head, but not because she thought he was going to hurt her still. More because she felt stupid, because she really had been scared for a moment. She hated that feeling, because she felt fear all too often. It made her feel... horrible, to put things simply.
Then she stared back at him, and slowly pushed herself up off of the couch. With a short nod of her head, she trudged into the bathroom. She just washed her face, and came back shortly after leaving, dressed in a somewhat tight black t-shirt with a simple white butterfly on the front. Beneath that shirt was a long sleeved one, white in color, that covered all but her fingertips. And this time, she wore black pants instead of a skirt, since she never knew what to expect from him. The regular knee high socks were on beneath them, black and white striped, and her shoes were a pair of black converse. She had almost grabbed gloves, but barely stopped herself.
Now dressed, and with her hair down around her shoulders, and just a bit pulled back, she approached him again, eyes upon the floor. Yes, she still felt a little dumb from the recent lesson, as proven by the rare, yet currently obvious pink tinge in her cheeks. "I'm ready," she mumbled quietly.

"You look alittle down..." Long answered a bit, "Don't worry, I was scared the first time Byakko threatened to cut off my arms if I didn't fight..." Long said looking up with his eyes balls. He did in fact nearly have an episode with Byakko that involved him in getting his arms cut off if he didn't fight. What else he had picked up Rin seemed to be sulking to herself about something. Based on what her reaction was from the start, and how she seemed to look and feel after word, it was only natural that he concluded Rin was disappointed with herself in a way.
"Nice Shoes...." Long said looking at Rin's new wardrobe. It did in fact look very different from all of her other dressings. This was in fact a very big surprise to Long, since he himself was wearing black converse as well, except his were just a different size to Rin's. He looked at Rin's butterfly, "Cute..." Long smirked as he then tried to figure out if anything else was bothering her.
"You know, it's ok to be scared...It really just shows what your limit is with that particular subject matter... and that means you can overcome it later on," Long sighed as he took Rin by the shoulders with his arms and gave her a light kiss on her forhead. He then let go and turned away. Long was now, making the new lesson seem harder for later. It seemed to be part of his plan to get Rin to overcome her emotions or personal thoughts whilst facing conflict. Long, unknowingly did this in order for Rin to learn how important it is, to not let your emotions carry your thinking. He then turned and walked to the door to unlock it and open the door and wait outside.

Rin slowly raised her head to look back at Long, eyes just slightly widened again. His arms? Well, she could kind of picture that guy saying something like that, even though she'd only seen him for a few minutes. Her gaze looked a little blank after that, staring at him but not focused, as if she were lost in thought. Yes, she kind of did want to know how to fight, but Long wouldn't threaten with anything that drastic, would he? She kind of liked her arms, and her head not to have a hole drilled into the front.
But she snapped out of it shortly after. "Oh..." she murmured, glancing down at her shoes, and then to Long's. She hadn't noticed until just now that they were the same. "Thanks." She folded her arms across her chest at his smirk, not sure if he was being serious or not, and let another frown spread across her face as she listened to him continuing.
"...yeah," she agreed quietly, eyes back upon the ground. For a split second she looked uncertain, but the frown returned a moment later, only to again be taken away at the kiss. Even if it was just her forehead, it still seemed to be enough to make her freeze for a second or two. Her hand ligtly touched the spot, but had dropped back by her side by the time she'd rejoined him outside. She locked the room behind herself, and then waited for him to lead the way.

"Well let's head to the cafeteria..." Long said as he led the way out down the hall. What he did was in fact...out of the blue. Something Long had done was unknown to him, but to Rin, technically it was to make up for his little fiasco earlier instead. He turned his head around the 180 degree angle to talk to her.
"You have been quiet since I threatened to kill you when I really wasn't, but really it was just another lesson..."Long said as he realized he had hit a wall. Thumping into the wall, he forgot there was a turn to the exit. Fixing himself, he turned his head and fized himself upright and made the turn. Obviously, Rin was confused, which was something Long was planning to do in regards to teaching her how to fight.
"Rin, if you aren't willing to fight, I will have to leave you..." Long threatened as he came up with another short coming, "I'm not kidding, if you can't accept the fact that fighting is a way of helping you...then I can't help you from there," Long finished after giving a short pause, "Do you understand?" Long said turning his head around again 180 degrees to face Rin. As he did, he ran into another wall by the wall and door he tore out form yesterday's race.
It was hard to take him serious at this point seeing as he was bumping into things like a blind camel. In spite of this, Long didn't seem serious, he was just talking serious, Rin would easily figure this out and just play along. Unbeknownst to Long, Rin would most likely smile knowing what Long said was just a simple opposite speaking of what he felt. That he didn't really want to leave Rin now, and that he had an actual friend in this university, he knew this well because let him stay in her apartment, eat her food, and even comfort her. Rin would never know this part.

Rin nodded slightly as she followed after him, watching the floor. However, when he spoke she lifted her head to stare at him. Her eyes widened, but mostly because he'd just run into a wall. She'd opened her mouth to say something, but hadn't gotten it out in time. He ran into the wall, and turned himself in the proper direction right after.
She had stopped, but now started following him again, at a slight distance. She was taking in what he was saying, and for a split second her breath caught in her throat, but she regained her composure instantly due to the fact he'd run into another wall. "Um... yes?" she blinked, staring back at him. A small smile tugged at her lips, despite the second's worth of fear from a moment before. Now it was just funny. If he hadn't just run into a wall again, she probably wouldn't have recovered so quickly. She'd never willingly spent so much time with the same person before.
Rin hesitated for a second, and then slowly reached out to take his hand. "Maybe I should lead the way," she mumbled, slightly confused. Then, tugging him off towards the exit, she began another reply without looking at him. "You can teach me, if you'll be patient." She paused, glancing over her shoulder at him. "I really don't know how to do anything." She seemed like she was admitting this easily, but she really felt embarrassed by it. That was another secret though, not revealed by her expression.
