"If we can't get out of the area, though, perhaps we can make it to a place where they won't detect us... What about up in that tree?" he suggested, not really coming up with a better idea. "If we hurry, we might make it up in the branches, were they won't be able to see us, and we'll still be able to hear them to see what they're up to wandering around here for."

No sooner than the three made it safely into the tree, a group of men stepped through the bushes, quietly, as they continued to talk.
"-well gods be praised, it's a fine day for humanity when Kuroi has nothing to say."
And that was the leader's attempt at humour, from the way he actually moved his mouth into what could've been a smile. The one to whome he was addressing simply walked along, arms crossed and a humourless look on his face. To the one addressed as Kuroi's relief, the leader just moved on.
"Well then, now that you're both here we can start. What exactly do you understand by the term 'coup d'etat'?"
The other giant of a man walking alongside them simply grunted and adjusted his shades.
"Somethin' to do with food?" ...such a smart guy. The leader stared expressionlessly at man as though he'd just done something incredibly disgusting, and then moved on quickly.
"The word around Rexio is that some small time crook on sector 6 is planning a coup d'etat over Rexio Inc. We know this because various high ranking members of our group have been approached and offered vast amounts of money in exchange for their support."
"So? Who gives a flying Flareon about some small time crooks? Nobody's gonna mess with Rexi-" Kuroi trailed off as the leader leaned across the gap between them, and placed a red stone delicately into his hand. Kuroi picked it up and rolled it around in his hand. The leader looked down at him as though he was a 5 year old holding a priceless antique.
"A fire stone?" Kuroi said, and the leader snatched the piece off him. "Its huge..."

"I'm gonna throw up."
"Don't be so soft," the giant of a man grinned haughtily.
"So that, my friends, is why we find ourselves assigned to Mauville," Sato smirked. "Shall we be on our way with our assignment?"
"I should have called in sick today..." Kuroi muttered miserably, as he followed along behind Sato and the other man, as the three headed into Mauville City.

Just from the way they were talking, you can tell they're professionals, although that Kuroi fellow seemed to be a bit more reluctant to follow orders than the other one. You can tell he's seen his fair share of battle, though."
He started down the path slowly, making sure that the three were far along enough in front of the three of them to avoid detection, before turning back to the others, shrugging. "Shall we?"
