Heavy stubber? Do you mean heavy bolter? You can have one or the other as the hull mounted weapon. It is possible to have two pintle mounted weapons, like a heavy stubber and a storm bolter. But, again, he cheated...

He showed me the text on his tank... I'm pretty sure it said heavy stubber or some kind of stubber. It certainly wasn't any kind of bolter. Perhaps it was an old codex?

Plus, if he had used that unit, it should've cost around 400 points...

I wouldn't be surprised if he used it and paid for it, because at a 1000 points, He only had two squads of Guardsmen, 3 Sanctioned Psykers, Yarrick, his tank (Leman-Russ Demolisher?), and a squad of Ratling Snipers. I remember thinking, "Shouldn't he outnumber me? He's playing Guard, and I'm Tau..."

Who here has seen/read the new Forge World Imperial Armor Book for the Taros Campaign? Apparently, they brought it out a little early, so some of the army list entries are in line with stuff that's supposed to come out in the 4th Ed Tau Codex revision.

Also, it's supposed to have 40K rules for the Manta. Damn, that thing is a monster!

Yes, but who will let you use it?
I wouldn't let anyone use a manta, unless it was a very, very large battle.

Hmmmm, when I get my commander I'm going to try to make him look like Darth Vader. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Uh, is Mandalore from starwars? If not I kind of meant its hard to be original with starwars.

I think he's talking about the Mandalorian armor from Star Wars. Boba Fett and Jango Fett wear Mandalorian armor. It's a cool peice of armor, but it'd be fairly uncommon to see any 40k conversions of it, I think.

Vindicare Assassins have been done like bobofett. If you are gonna do a suit up as him give it a flamer, missle pods, & a plasma rifle with everything HW except drone controler

In ancient Star Wars History, Madalore was the guy who united the Madalorian clans, and led them in a war that almost destroyed the Republic, despite the fact that they were outnumbered like 50 to 1, and the Republic had Jedi.........

Anyway, what I was going to say, is one thing I like about the Tau, is that they're the only ones who are 'nice' in all of Warhammer. Everyone else hates all other groups, but the Tau accept them, if they submitt fully to them, and possibly give their souls to them, you know, nothing major....

Eldar are, so long as it helps them achieve their own means. Hell, they lost a Craftworld just about, saving the Imperium form one of the Hivefleets.
