Megan jumped, just about dropping the book in surprise. "..It's my security blanket," she said, after a moment of looking him over. "And I like to knit things while I do other stuff. Like...reading, I guess." She looked back to the bookshelf and put the book back.

"Oh, I understand," Makoto spoke, giving her a soft smile. "But it is good for the soul to get out once in a while. You could carry a bag with your knitting stuff with you?" he suggested.

"I used to have one but..." Megan rubbed the back of her head, as through embarrassed. "The strap broken when I was swinging it at my brother...

At her words, Makoto let out a loud laugh, nodding enthusiastically. "These things happen. Any reason you have yet to get a replacement?" he asked, looking at her curiously.

"Laziness, really." Megan paused mid-shrug, then looked off. "I wonder if I could make one..."

Makoto chuckled again, smiling to her. "Well, wouldn't that be somethin'. You could knit a bag to keep your knitting supplies so that you can knit on the go."

"A pleasure indeed. I came here to get out of the house, and to check on some art books. There's a particular Japanese artist I admire. Paying homage to my culture, I suppose," Makoto rambled, blushing softly.

"Oh? Art, huh?" Megan looked him over. "I'm more of a textile person so art really isn't my thing...It can be pretty though." She shrugged.

"Romantic? Maybe from a romanticists eyes," he spoke, giving her a smile. "It's nice. I don't get work so often, but then again I don't seek it too much. I guess I just get caught up doing my own stuff. I like to paint a lot. It's difficult to be told what to paint, rather than create it yourself."
