I play tenor ^^ In my opinion its the best... I don't like alto saxes that much because my friend plays it >_>;;; but she plays it weird so it sounds really nasely and gross gonk I think tenor sax would have to be my favourite... I'm more into bass instruments myself ^^;;

So I need your help, dudes.
I'm out looking to buy a soprano, and I've got it down to pretty much two choices.
Buescher BU-3
$599, slightly used, very good condition but a few scratches near the strap holder
Selmer SX600
$649 (on sale!), brand new
Apparantly Selmer owns Buescher anyhow, but I think that's it. They aren't really made by Selmer. I've heard a lot of good things about the Buescher sopranos, but neither good nor bad for the Selmers.
Any reviews, tips, anything on these models? The sale on the Selmer only lasts tomorrow and I'm trying to decide...I'm getting the Buescher on Monday to test out, but I really really like the Selmer so far. Help please.

I can't stand high pitched sounds.

They're both straight. The thing is, sopranos are the weirdest instruments ever. They aren't in tune with themselves...I tried playing a few simple scales and they come out kind of distorted (moreso on this other crappy soprano I tried). Curved ones are even harder to get in tune, so I thought I'd start on the easier one. But they are cuter ^^
